Nice to see AV call them out a little. Hopefully they respond. Also, although I haven't been all that impressed with St. Louis since the first game, he looked like he wants to win in that postgame interview. Most athletes seem like they're reading a textbook. He is one intense little dude. I'm kind of expecting a big game from him on Thursday.

Even if you ignored his goal, I thought Klein had a great game. He was very physical and never lost any battles. But you're right those guys are literally the only ones who showed up. And McDonagh, but he's always there. If Hank wasn't playing well this would probably have been another Shark feeding frenzy with 10 goals against.

Sam clearly had more intelligence and backbone than Frodo.

Anyone feel like Marty St. Louis should be watching Zucc play, not the other way around?

What are the chances the refs don't suck tonight?

I would do the trade too. I'm just not sure that skilled guys on the PK make much sense. And I really don't think the recent thrash of short-handed goals has anything to do with Nash. Toronto's power play is pathetic. But mostly, I find it disturbing that AV changes his whole philosophy of coaching because Babcock asks him to.

@Bring back Langdon
I remember Callahan being pretty dangerous shorthanded. Also D. Moore has looked like the biggest scoring threat on the PK. Not really a skilled guy.

Was anybody else kind of shocked when Kenny Albert recounted how Babcock told AV to play Nash on the PK and AV said okay, thanks, that's a great idea. Who's the coach? What the hell. Why is he still playing on the PK? Is Nash ever going to block a shot or scrum behind the net? No.

Maybe they didn't appreciate AV's joke about their French buddy.

Maybe if AV okays it with Babcock first?
I guess open ice hits are now illegal?

Watching the MSL interview...how the hell has he won the Lady Byng? That guy is nuts. They won the game and he looks like someone killed his first born.

Thank god we won this game. Hurricanes annoy the crap out of me. They are such diving, whining, insufferable, fratricidal scumbags. By my rough count, they took 25 uncalled penalties in the time between Boyle's assault of the ref and the automatic delay of games.

Yeah any reason JT Miller wasn't called back up? I know he had to be on the AHL roster at 3, but he didn't have to stay there. The way he played the last couple of games, maybe they should try to fit him on the roster.

Is Diaz playing? Maybe for Moore. Honestly Moore hasn't impressed me that much this year. Might be worth seeing what Diaz can bring to the table. He played pretty well in Montreal from what I remember.

Sucks to lose Cally this way. I'll always remember him, with the season on the line, laying out in front of a Chara slapper, breaking his leg, and getting up to try and finish his shift. Nobody had guts like him. I hope he does well in Tampa.

Ha! I'll put my best man on it.
Not junior year but fourth year. Seems like he's only been playing three years.
Hags definitely seemed a little star struck. Hopefully he'll stop passing up shots. Step, though, I think can turn it around. I think he's having his sophomore slump in his junior year. He proved he can be effective with speedy wingers last year. Maybe if you switch Hagelin and Kreider things might mesh a little better? Last year you had Hags chasing the puck down and creating offensive zone possession for Step. As fast as Kreider is he doesn't seem as good at that. Whereas Kreider could be a legit scorer if he gets going. And who better to start him off than St. Louis and Richards.
