Byfuglien was the guy schooling E. Kane on  professionalism. Cause wearing sweatpants is much more unprofessional than trying to kill someone.

Hayes and Miller are playing so well right now. If the veterans get going the Rangers will be seriously dangerous. And Marty's coming back on Thursday. I'm getting excited for the playoffs.

@KevinMccarthy That's insane. Glad he didn't play much for the Rangers. I do remember that elbow he threw though. What a scumbag.

@dsclaw88 Chicago does not want the Kings in the playoffs. They showed that last night. I kind of wish the Rangers showed that against the Bruins. Although I'm nowhere near as scared of Boston as LA.

I'm not that worried about the Rangers losing. When they play well, they play at an incredibly fast pace. Which is tiring. There's not much motivation to play like that right now. Especially against teams scrambling to make it like Kings and Bruins and the Caps who want to overtake Pittsburgh. The Rangers are barely skating right now. But I highly doubt they are forgetting how to skate.

@rangermom He doesn't know what he's getting himself into with that contract. The Toronto media will probably criticize him for not giving his all.

Bad game by the Rangers. But, really, none of the top six teams in the East are playing all that well. It's just not worth battling the Kings and the Bruins with everything you have and possibly getting injuries or whatever. Torts used to do that and come playoff time nobody had any energy left.

Chara should get a penalty every time he steps on the ice.

@JoeyKocur I make fun of him, but I was pretty ecstatic when he scored the other night. However, I think I'd prefer Zucc in a dark alley with a rabble of rabid Philly fans.

Anybody see the the attempted elbow by Zack Smith? I don't remember which Ranger player he went for but he had to duck his head out of the way of a flying elbow. It's the reason Yandle went after him. I'm liking Yandle more and more.

This was a do or die game for the Kings. Not so much for the Rangers. They were obviously not willing to put that level of effort into the game. Except for Zucc who was everywhere on the ice.

I don't think Kreider made any new friends from Florida. Gudbranson wanted to kill him after that little wave at the face-off circle.

@BobDunne I don't remember Pouliot ever getting stapled to the bench after one of his mishaps. It's weird the way Miller gets treated. Torts hated him too. Maybe it's a personality thing, but this year he seems like he fits in with the team a lot more.

I got a scoop from an NHL insider. Last summer AV made a bet with Babcock that he could turn the worst player in the league into a decent, forechecking, puck possessing fourth liner. So far he hasn't won with his efforts to reform Tanner Glass, but by George he's trying.

@NYR44 I don't know... AV's gum is probably pretty stale by now.

I don't know what just happened below me, but I just wanted to say that I've been impressed by Yandle so far. He hasn't done much on the Power Play but he's been pretty fantastic in his own zone. He didn't get billed that way.

Is it that AV lobbied to bring Glass in and now just doesn't want to back down? Or does he truly believe Glass adds something to the lineup?

@Better Call CK @Wallace1 Montreal vs. Washington. Halak stole the series completely. Fleury gets a bad rap because he's bad in the playoffs. He wasn't that great in the Rangers series. Nobody considers the Caps much of a threat in the East. They're basically a one line team. Have you watched the Islanders this year?

@Better Call CK Halak has shown that he can singlehandedly steal a series when he's feeling it. Fleury? Not so much. There is no way in hell that Washington is better than the Islanders. Also the Rangers know how to beat Pittsburgh.

@4tonynoluck I'm starting to dislike you. Today a wall of ice departed from the top of my truck completely obscuring my front window as traffic came the other way. I also slipped on a slushy ice slick while walking my dog.

@JoeyKocur To me it seems like the best teams are in the east right now. Rangers, Tampa, Islanders, and Montreal because of Price. Though everyone knows the Kings are coming.

@betweentheworlds @Wallace1 @Say my Name Oh ok. I didn't know that. As much as I didn't like that call, Nyqvist is an awesome player and really fun to watch.

@Say my Name That should never be a penalty. Step didn't grab him with his hand, nor did he hook him. That was an attempted stick check from behind and Nyqvist grabbed him. Though I don't think the refs were biased in this game. Fast, after all, probably got away with one in the first. And Nyqvist gave such a performance that I'm wondering if JK Simmons should send him his Oscar.

Rangers just scared the East into scrummaging for D-men. Tampa goes for Coburn. Canadiens get Petri. Now Detroit's after Phaneuf. Shows they view Rangers as the biggest competition.
