@Alec Brownscombe @YakovMironov cool, I probably should have picked someone better, but I can have fun with the Hagman section. Let me know if there is a template I need to follow.

@Pent_House @YakovMironov @Alec Brownscombe @wiski Hockey News had him in the top 10, but then again, that's the Hockey News.

@Anthony Petrielli @Pent_House I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt and assume he'd be great at signing free agents.

@Pent_House @YakovMironov @Alec Brownscombe @wiski I love Lazar and I wasn't thinking of taking him that high. I have him 11th on my draft list, though my draft list is more geared around who I'd want on the Leafs.

@Anthony Petrielli @YakovMironov @Alec Brownscombe @wiski @Pent_House though it did mean I could get the player I wanted by drafting after him so it wasn't so bad.

@KellyPuckDrunk youth jerseys are such a tease. I accidentally bid on and won a Islanders Fishstick jersey without checking its size.

Re: the Thrashers jersey, it also appears the jersey is satin.

@Nichols6thSens I'm sure they're trying to sober up Chico Resch so he can come in and close out the game.

I also hope they anally probe anyone who thinks Spezza is as good as Henrik Sedin or better than Getzlaf or Toews.

@arpra76 Arg! I totally forgot about the no game crowd. Honourable Mentions for Olaf Kolzig and Martin Skoula.

Perhaps it's fitting that they are the Temp Team's scratches.

I have to agree that Hunter makes sense. He adds some of the secondary offense, size, grit (sigh, truculence) that Burke has been looking for. I'd rather force guys like Colborne, Frattin, and Kadri to play their way onto the team instead of holding spots for them.

The other guy I'd consider is Steve Bernier who offers similar abilities in a younger player.

What I like about both of these options are that if they don't work for the third line they could fit in nicely with the fourth and who cares if you are scratching them or not giving them ice time because you're just rolling the dice on them anyway.

No team was ever plagued with too much depth so once players like Broll, and McKegg are returned to the OHL I'd hope to see Burke use at least one of the SPCs.

@trickasmark I think the diamond penalty kill strategy may be more to blame than the actual penalty killers. It also helps to have a capable goaltender behind the PK unit. I did a post recently on the bottom six forwards and included some PK data.( http://www.puckineh.com/2011-articles/march/future-of-the-bottom-six.html ) Bozak's numbers aren't bad in relation to the Leafs, but are at best average in the league. Sjostrom and Brent just had bad numbers.

@trickasmark Any iffy stat for sure, but -28 is bad enough to say something is up. I would say his strong takeaway numbers and the reliance on Bozak to kill penalties still makes a case for him as two-way forward. Can he and does he need to be better? Absolutely, but if he is moved to the third line and has Armstrong on his wing instead of Kessel I think those +/- numbers improve.
