@martind1 you wouldn't know, but I could record myself taking a dump and it would be better than whatever he's made.
Macklemore is an affront to tonality.
"It did feel like the career paths of Murray and Federer crossed at the Australian Open this year. But I can't say I thought that about Federer and Berdych, yet, anyway. He probably needs someone else to take out Rafa on clay and Novak and Murray on hard courts. Does that make him a threat?"
It just makes him like everyone else on tour, pretty much.
Didn't Murray win 5 straight last year--Olympics, then Shanghai?
Not winning at a Slam is a "Most Useless Statistic"? Ummmmm, OK, Pete!
What the hell. This guy barely looks qualified to park my car.
He very, very, very, very clearly says "it."
I believe her handlers shot down her initial concept, vacuum-sealed broccoli florets under the equally uninspired name "Broccolipova." So, you know, you do what you gotta do.
This is really inspired.
It is mindblowing that we live in a world where someone can blatantly make a statement, have it recorded and reaired across myriad venues, then stand up and deny making the statement, when that denial is essentially a lie. There is no grey area here. If I get on television and yell "F% F% F% F% F%" and then say "I absolutely did not say F% F% F% F% F%," am I off the hook? What is this, the twilight zone?
Easy to forget that David Ferrer, the near-permanent number five, is 5'9".
It's strange to hear the backhand volley described as an "asset," as Bud Collins does here, but that is the perfect way to describe Tony Roche's shot. The crosscourt volley he hits at the 1:01 mark is incredible--sharp angle but still with a touch of pace.
Does this site have a glossary? I'm a pretty die-hard football fan and there's almost always stuff on here I do not understand (i.e. "Foster aligned in the 'dot,'" "'Swap' boot").
That being said, I don't think the headline writer means "legitimately." Since it's satire, there is no legitimacy to his concern...
"I neither have a son nor a 9-Year-old." I love it!
Check that. I am incorrect. I just assumed Capriati was in the semis only thrice and lost 7-6 in the third in each. Mea culpa
I don't think Venus played Jennifer Capriati in the semis here.
And GOOD GOD Richard Pagliaro's alliteration. It's borderline childish.
