Ray's playing was a staple of The Doors. He'll certainly be missed after such a long and fruitful career helping to create such haunting music. The Doors' songs opened my mind to other realms of possibilities and cleansed my perception. The view atop of this new building won’t be any clearer for America and the real effects on our society from the original towers being dropped. Under the guise of fighting terrorism, the Patriot Act was adopted WITHOUT public approval or vote just weeks after the events of 9/11. The laws are simply a means to spy on our own citizens and to detain and torture dissidents without trial or a right to council. When will our Government finally realize it can profit more from taxing the sale of the harmless medicinal herb than by jailing people for it? It is so good to see groups are organizing all over the country to speak their minds on reforming pot laws and defending this plant. Public opinion is finally swaying toward legalization from such efforts! The season started out great but the finale was sort of a popcorn fart in comparison. Just when we thought they had the pacing issues and kinks worked out you wonder what the heck is going on. I expected more and it left me shrugging my shoulders rather than biting my nails.
