My daughter turns 16 days old tonight, what a better way to celebrate than watching her first Rangers game?! LGR!

So much optimism in the preseason, is this still a rangers blog? Where am I? Who are you?

@greggray24 We should catch a game this season! Just moved from Joppa to Rising Sun, but I'm a vendor at the Bel Air farmer's market and i'm down that way a lot delivering vegetables. Send me an email if you want to watch a game, firstname.lastname@example.org

About those missing points, if Nash comes back strong next year and Hagelin plays in playoff mode through the season (probably doubtful), and Zucc and St Louis deliver, we could be covered.
Disappointed in B. Boyle, but time will tell if he can perform in a different role.
Looking forward to October.

@Richie50 Depends on the situation next year and how Talbot comes along, but could work out for our benefit. It's funny how everyone is jumping down your throat for thinking outside the Henrik box.
@EHBIGAPPLE @KevinTheNYRBlog @leftwingbarbara uhhhhhhh.
@MichaelReeder1 @greggray24 easy
@jopel007 Did you look at the link? Klein has been good lately.
@TomDundie Yeah buddy, a game 5 win and this thing goes to 7 for sure.
@JBianco What did he say? I don't know this Netflix commercial.
@nyr82 I noticed that too, but that's hockey even though it should probably be a penalty.
@gravey94 @xxscaxx @barondon I feel like Boyle had an attempt as well, off the boards or something.
I was thinking about this today, would it be considered great leadership or cowardice if Richards calls himself out, says he's worn out and benches himself for the good of the team?
@gravey94 I mute the whole game and I can actually follow the play better than with emerick blabbing on and on with his adverbs and adjectives.
Like I said, just the right amount of adversity now. Three more to go.
The puck was on our side tonight. Three more games to go.
@Poops McDonqvist Haha, sucks for the people who bought them when they were in the thousands. You should go, but wear a suit.

One more period left in this game. I hope AV eating some pop rocks right now and getting somebody fired up.
Now we have just the right amount of adversity to pull out a win.
Let's go let's go let's go!
Quit bitching about the refs. We'll win the next two. LGR!

@NYR44 Just shot one today with the .22
Maybe if I could have learned how to knife and wand the puck in high school I would have made it to the NHL.
I feel like 4-2 is better than 3-1. Eh?
@NYR44 I hope there's a sighting in LA tonight.
I feel like I say this every game, but this is fun.
Bad ice again?
@EquusBiz @Betweenthecups Yeup, and JR also points out that he's still getting paid, he's still on the ice, so he needs to bring it.

@McPhee37 If you lose your wager with us I think you should reconsider deleting your account, you bring a lot of knowledge to the blog that would be missed.
@mdspwt Woah, agreed with you until "Kenny Albert is just not a good hockey announcer. Will be glad to get Doc back." Albert lets you watch the game and doesn't bombard you with nonsense adverbs and adjectives. It was refreshing to watch without doc's voice in my ears. He would be better if he didn't have to call every single pass and touch of the puck.
@Hoserhey Played the puck first and knocked it away. No penalty.
How about that Let's Go Rangers chant during the second period! Nice. I don't know if Kreider butt ended Doughty or not, but hopefully it gets doughty off his game. Fun to watch these guys, good feeling about the third.
@Dante8496 @Bukra! Death in his family.
Just realized the circumstances that made Emerick miss this game aren't the best, but you get my point. Not wishing anything bad on anyone.
It's so nice to watch a game and not have to listen to Emerick's bs play by play.
That Zucc cover is recockulous!

I was 13. My friend and I used to drag our street hockey net down into the basement of my house to watch the Rangers and play ball hockey. I probably would have been a Devils fan had the Rangers not made that run for the cup in '94, that and my parents' cable package included MSG but didn't include Sports Channel. Which if I remember correctly is what televised the Devils.
That year I had just gotten into playing street hockey and NHLPA on Genesis, so it was perfect that the Rangers were making a run for the cup. Beforehand I had no idea about 1940 or who was even on the Rangers. But that spring and summer solidified the Rangers as my team and hockey as my sport.
I watched game 7 alone in the basement. Neither of my parents were big hockey fans and I'm an only child. I still get into arguments with my dad about hockey goalies. He says every save is just luck. For years I've been trying to tell him differently. I don't really remember about the series except tearing up at the end of the game and feeling like it wasn't real.
It seems like no one likes Bettman. Makes me wonder where are his supporters? Who likes his work? Is there a possibility as fans to get him fired? I'm feeling naive.
Ha, I can agree with Major Bee.

Just wondering, was game 5 against the habs worse than game 4 against the pens? I have the worst memory, so I seriously can't remember.
