Next game we play a better team, so we'll win
1 hour, 35 minutes ago on Rangers @ Hurricanes (Game 66)
If Rangers play like they did against Detroit for the full game, they should win. That's the way to play.Relentless.

17 games or so left in Hartfords season probably. So really just watch and see how Dylan McIIrath and Connor Allen do.They seem to be doing alright according to bloggers who watch them.So we'll see. They are both up and coming dmen now. Stralman is a good NHL dman but there are also possibly better available. So signing him again is dependent on a lot of factors as well as price.
1 day, 8 hours ago on Stralman Rejects 3-Year, $9M Extension Offer
I wish Callahan good luck on whatever team he goes to.Rangers weren't signing that deal for him.My only thought on the matter is if and how the Rangers are going to get a first round pick back. Its good to have that pick even if it is a low first round pick or high second.
1 day, 12 hours ago on Staal Wants Extension Done This Summer; Interest in Dorsett; Sabres/Panthers to Pursue Callahan
Marc Staal ,thank heavens, has fully recovered and is playing at the level he was before the eye injury, which is superb. That's the player he is. He is a mainstay of the Rangers, a key piece of the the team.So he should get what he is asking even if its slightly more than expected.
As for worries I think he is wearing a visor now and the concussion he is fully recovered from, so he's the same as anyone else.Hopefully he doesn't have any more bad luck..Sign this player,he can win us championships for years.
@Say my Name @Betweentheworlds I gotta disagree with this.Rich Nash is not an overated player, He's a good player on nearly all levels, including scoring which I beleive is going to be there. He;s going to have seasons where he scores more points than others but he's been pretty consistent, For example as we know he's the only player currently playing in the NHL who has scored 20 goals in 10 or more seasons.I digress , that's meaningless here unless it addresses your point which is that he is not putting up the numbers to justify his salary this year. And this has been true. But its obvious that having been injured played a major part in his overall stats and now we are watching to see if he can put up some points in the stretch- I think he will do that. Also his other skills are not so easily dismissed- they are necessary and they do provide value.

@Wallace1 He has good reach and puck control and is a dynamic threat to score.
@Betweentheworlds I agree, he is always making nice passes and being part of the play.he hasn't been playing badly at all.His rangy style makes him look lazy and coasting to some viewers, but he is effective at that style-look the chance last night where he just missed scoring with his reach and the directed puck just missed the open side of the net-I think he was interfered with on that play and he still nearly scored.I am hoping that MSL and him get some chemistry happening.Nash is always dangerous and scores in streaks.

Two nice goals from Krieds, which he needed.Good to see.Rangers played their system, steady and relentlessly for 60 minutes and they won.Good to see Hank have a nice game also.
@shishya100 Don't forget Jesper Fast, he scored again tonite. We have some good prospects in Hartford.Nice to know if we need a forward we have some good ones there who can play in the NHL.

@kevin11 Agree, Richards has to be bought out.We have to sign a few new quality players even if we bring up players from Hartford. I hope they can trade him somehow and get a first or second pick back.

@Pvelyk Its an all or nothing deal with Sather this time.Expect more moves. He has built the team with the draft for 5 years ,and now he is cashing in.He has stockpiled some depth in prospects and needs skilled players. Its all in for him now.
We'll see immediately if his gamble pays off or fails.

@Say my Name Pretty much agree with your views on Cally, and the team and Hank.We needed some toughness for the run to the playoffs,They didn't get someone, now they'll have to deal with it.
However, I think If they manage to make the playoffs, the physical toughness need becomes slighlly less and the need for powerplay prowess increases crucially. As for Hank, like you say I hope he doesn't mail it in he hasn't been Vezina material this year.He has to be really good for us to win series.
As far as Chris Krieder, He has to get some goals now. Jesper Fast and JT MIller are continuing to put up the points in AHL -2 points each tonight.Krieder should be hearing a door opening if not footsteps after getting less than 10 minutes tonight.

I'm just glad we got the win. This could have gone the other way the way Cane's goalie was playing.
Also glad AV is shuffling lines a little-was worried he would never do that-at least he gets a look at other combos.I would like to see Marty with Nash and Stepan. Krieder is invisible lately and Stepan just scored nicely from Marty's brilliant pass.Nash has also played with Marty on a line before.Like to see that esp if the Richards. Hags St Louis line gets stale.
We got to see the Hobbit combo for awhile tonight!
Callahan was one of the core Rangers. He earned his respect with his bravery, skill and effort-game in game out. He'll continue to be a good NHL player in Tampa no doubt, he has a good shot and good skills.
Now its Marty St.Louis's turn to make us forget Cally by doing what he does best-score goals and get points.

Vignault said they are putting the pieces together>Well this is it.The playoff push.Every player has to bring everything every game now.No more lacklustre performances that we fans can question. -Stepan and some others have to bring it now.
And once we reach the playoffs -to be honest-unless all players we have play 100 percent -this team is done.
If the Rangers 100 percent do play their optimal level-we can be in the conference final and the SC final.A lot of speed and skill up front, great d, and world class netminding.
4 days, 22 hours ago on Lundqvist to Start vs. Canes; Zuccarello a Game-Time Decision
Zucc has to be fit enough to play because they will slash that hand and target it. Rangers don't want to lose him for another 8 weeks. Have to be somewhat cautious about that day to day.
Agree that Talbot should play just to get in his percentage of starts.Rangers need a win as well and he usually brings that.Myself I 'm going to watch Lundqvist closely this game and see what happens with him
If Raphael Diaz plays better D than John Moore it helps this team a lot. Stralman is a decent dman who can get the job done we should resign him if he doesn't demand too much. However, consider that for all the dmen spots except McDonagh and Staal -we can always improve-some a little, some a lot.
5 days, 2 hours ago on Lundqvist to Start vs. Canes; Zuccarello a Game-Time Decision
@Ranger Dave @fs2020 Absolute truth. We have to finish and get some points on the board. Our goal scorers have to step up and get goals.
That said, the goalie has to keep the team in the game and give them a chance to win.
That is my issue with Lundqvist, and a concern.Talbot, who isn't as good a netminder but plays well positionaly has been doing that. Lundqvist not so much, he seems to me to be playing even more back in the net than usual and even seems clumsy getting back into position sometimes.Anyways, he's letting more goals in.And that really can't happen if we want to win.

@Ranger Dave @fs2020 @dsclaw88 you know what- every body that holds out on Sather tends to get traded down the line.Wouldn't surprise me to see Sather deal Stepan if he doesn't improve at some point.
