@HunterStricklandsOedipalComplex @NoHitWin2008 Derp derp derp, I missed Soriano. But yeah, not much of a mention there is it?

@HunterStricklandsOedipalComplex And not a single mention of the bullpen. LOL
@HunterStricklandsOedipalComplex So sign everybody, basically.
Ayinger Celebrator Dopplebock if you want German.

It's really gonna sting when Friedman acquires Bartolo for a fringe prospect and also gets the Mets to cover a portion of his salary as well.

@Barney (Not Darwin) I kinda have a hard time seeing them let Sandoval leave. Another WS championship and he was fucking amazing. I just hope they overpay the shit outta him and it kills them at some point.

@OCDodger I'd happily have watched them beat us and then go on to lose the WS. Compared to this, that sounds like heaven.
@DodgersFan @JoeMaddonSuperstar Pretty much this.
@Carver @Weston T @JoeMaddonSuperstar Yeah, but even then we had to hear the "Dodgers took Boston's overpriced shit, and that's why the Red Sox won" narrative.
@Carver Doing what they should be doing. Need to keep that pick.
@Gilbert_Vengeance *aren't (for the Giants)
@Condorave @NoHitWin2008 Yeah, he looked good in 287 PA's. I don't know enough about him to comment other than to say that SSS is probably a factor there.
@Gilbert_Vengeance @NoHitWin2008 Right, but going forward things are looking super bright down on the farm.
The Giants farm system is pretty desolate. That's kinda nice.
@TellMyWifeISaidHello @NoHitWin2008 Going forward I'd rather have Bum, but I can see that there's a case for Greinke in the past couple of years.
@the great dick tater Yeah I was just gonna say that. That shit hurts. It all hurts. Pain pain pain, fucking pain everywhere.
@ tomato *Grant's writing when the Giants lose
@ tomato I love Grant's writing, but fuck Grant.
@TellMyWifeISaidHello @NoHitWin2008 Bumgarner > Greinke, and the rest makes it hurt even worse.
I need reasons to feel god about the Dodgers again.
Who gives a fuck if they're a dynasty or not. Three WS championships, lucky or not, makes me hella pissed and jealous.
@Literally PFP @NoHitWin2008 @ tomato Yeah, The Giants having to burn through their bullpen will hopefully come back to bite them.

@Literally PFP @NoHitWin2008 @ tomato You're exactly right. With this team, I'm just fucking nervous.
@Literally PFP @ tomato That makes me nervous. Giants are just one of those "first team to blah blah blah since the year blah blah blah" teams.
This is perfect thus far. Royals looking good and Gnats bullpen gonna get taxed big time.
Anyone like trip-hop? Portishead and Massive Attack <3
4 days, 8 hours ago on Reminder: Logan White was good at his job while with the Dodgers
Losing White is sucky, but a couple points: losing him felt like an eventuality anyways, and at least we've got a smart guy charged with staffing our F.O. now as opposed to Ned.
@cvrinc @TheConman I'm having a hard time caring one way or the other who the GM is. Friedman will run the show, that's all that matters.

@Robworldwide @BehindOrangeLines @capnsparrow You do understand that Gibson's homer was one of the ULTIMATE "blind squirrel finds the nut from time to time" moments, don't you?

@Diane Nguyen 9ers fan @Robworldwide @capnsparrow I'd actually be okay with Kirk Gibson being relegated to that fate as well.
Fuck the playoffs.

@ tomato @exceedingly boring potato AJ would be a wonderful backup, and given his history with the team and his rappimply parting ways with the guy.
@exceedingly boring potato @NoHitWin2008 Ah, I take it back then. That's a wrinkle I had forgotten about.
Does he have a trade kicker as well? Looks like we've already paid out $14M of the $28M h's owed, so I wonder if they'd just try to move Guerrero with only 3/$14M left? And I wonder how a trade would affect his MLB service time clause?
@Ashamed Meth Goat @NoHitWin2008 @BluESQ Yeah, there's better and worse out there, that's for sure.
@raydog1 It hurts but I'm excited for the future. Lest we forget, this was a franchise that was crippled by McCourt. The turnaround has been incredible, if not a bit wild. We've got some great talent in the minors, the ability to spend a boatload of money, and international scouting is back in a big way. Overall, I'm happy.
@BluESQ If one goes, then both are gonners. My completely uneducated gut-feeling guess is that it's a coin toss, which is to say the chances are higher than I even imagined they'd be at this point.
@exceedingly boring potato I have a feeling that Dee's here to stay. I just don't see the team trading him when the alternative is the completely unknown A. Guerrero. I mean, the team looked reluctant to even play Alex at 2B, let alone start the guy there.
If I was a betting man, I'd give higher odds to Alex being moved over Dee, and even higher odds that both stay put.
@LA_Woman @NoHitWin2008 @exceedingly boring potato @TheConman Yeah, personally I agree. I love his bat; we all do. I think it's time for him to make that switch, though. Age, injuries, defense, and his decline phase are not things that excite me.
@exceedingly boring potato @NoHitWin2008 @TheConman I'm torn on Hanley. This year he was a 3.4 win player this year, he turns 31 before Xmas, and he's injured all of the time. Combine that with the fact that the Yankees need a SS and can also DH him, and I think it's almost a foregone conclusion that he's a gonner.
@TheConman There's no way this happens. They were talking extension with him early in the season, and now we're supposed to believe that the F.O. is scared off by one year at $15M? No way, not a chance.
@YadierMolinasOedipalComplex There's no way they don't Q.O. him. No way.
@BlueMarvin I had the Nats ahead of the Dodgers, and the Tigers ahead of everyone else in the AL, but yeah, I hear ya.
@Barney (Not Darwin) It'll be more of an impalement than a voluntary falling.
@KLee811 @NoHitWin2008 No way Kemp or Puig get moved. Crawford has started to up his value a little bit, but his contract (3/$62.25M) is more expensive than Ethier's (essentially, 3/$56M if you include the buyout at the end).
I'm just guessing, but I think it'll be Ethier moved along with a shit ton of cash in order to acquire an unimpressive relief prospect or something like that. The writers here seem to feel the same way, and I think that makes the most sense.
As for Joc, he's gonna have to force his way onto the team. I don't see them moving two expensive OFers and eating a shit ton of cash simply so they can hand him the job and see what he does with it.
@Jacopo (How is this a bad plan!) I'm not trying to be snarky, but my guess is that it would be someone very un-Ned-like. Who that is or could be, I have zero clue. The ownership group never got to install someone "fresh" to run the ship, so my guess is that they could go outside rather than promote from within (ala L. White). Who knows, though.
@KLee811 I don't think you'd ever want to see wither guy there except for 1B, and even then...
@The place beyond the Pins @Disgruntled Goat @Mike Petriello Both, I'm sure.
