Also: hella talent; Kendrick's floor is ridiculously higher than Dee's. Also, JRoll, despite his age, has been in the lineup way more often than Hanley in recent seasons.

This also ignores the fact that three of our INFers are free agents after this year. I mean, sure, if JRoll and Uribe were still under contract for another year or two after this season, it'd be a huge concern. They're not though, and combining that factor with our depth (Kike, Barnes, Turner) as well as having Seager progressing, I'm not all that concerned.
He hasn't shown basically ANY signs of aging. At least, not yet anyway. He's averaged 155 games over the past three seasons, too. Don't think I'd go past a fat one year deal, though.
3 weeks, 5 days ago on 2014 Dodgers In Review: SP Roberto Fausto Carmona Hernandez
@DKD That's true in some cases, yeah. There's also instances where, late in a game, a number eight hitter might be pitched around and the pitcher's spot is then pinch-hit for, which creates a much higher scoring opportunity.
1 month ago on Winter Leagues Update #3: Grandal & Hernandez Additions, Ravin At 100 MPH
LOL yeah we should totally get rid of Kersh, Yasiel, and Gonzo based on a four game sample size!!!
1 month, 1 week ago on Look How Different The Dodgers Roster Is Now
Anyway, if we extend Howie then I'll really like the trade. If not, then we QO him and collect a draft pick, which I still think is justifiable.
1 month, 1 week ago on Let’s Get To Know Chris Hatcher
I could be wrong, but I don't believe he's considered to be a top 20 anymore?
@PagansOedipalComplex @Moderately Excited Towel Eric's article at TBLA says no, that he will not go on the 40 man.
"Zarraga was drafted by the Brewers in the 44th round in the 2007 draft. He is not on the 40-man roster, but will add to the catching depth in the organization, which is razor thin."
1 month, 2 weeks ago on Dodgers Finally, Finally Complete Matt Kemp Trade
@MajorPuigBaseball @NoHitWin2008 @Lobo Agreed. If the Padres intentionally leaked info in order to extort more money, then FUCK THEM.
1 month, 2 weeks ago on Dodgers Continue To Rework Organizational Catching Depth
@DBrim Yeah, it'd be nice if those guidelines were followed to the tee every single time, I agree. I'd feel better about it if the Padres source simply said that there were concerns about Kemp passing the physical, as opposed to being specific about what frightened them.
Better yet, don't say a damn thing until you determine one way or the other if he's passed.
@Lobo If they genuinely violated some type of league rule or law, then sure. If not, then just let it go.
@moneynow27 REALLY excited to learn more about Hatcher. He flew under the radar big-time in that trade, and he'll likely end up being the biggest piece we get from the Marlins in terms of 2015.
@DKD The trigger already got pulled, though. You can;t just unpull it and go back in time.
@SabrDodgers I bet Zack Greinke is closer to having little to no trade value, too.
@SabrDodgers A. Guerrero, Arruebarrena
@Still PFP Growler, bottles, cans, swingtops? Needs details.
@tsneddy (change is weird) @NoHitWin2008 @PagansOedipalComplex There's a pretty decent chance that Grandal provides similar value to the Dodgers in 2015 as Kemp would.
Not saying that Yasmani is gonna be a better hitter, but overall value could be closer that people think.
@PagansOedipalComplex @tsneddy (change is weird) The blowback would be pretty immense if the Padres were perceived to be extorting Farhandrew. I'd bet good money that POC was right, and that they were just doing their homework extensively.
@Mike Petriello Can't blame Padres for reviewing medicals in-depth.
Can't blame Kemp for wanting to go to Vegas (baby!!!).
@Mike Petriello @NoHitWin2008 I bet Kenny's getting tons of clicks, though.
1 month, 2 weeks ago on 2014 Dodgers In Review: LF/CF/RF/Departed Friend Matt Kemp
Why are some people freaking out? The physical just took place yesterday, and we'd been told all along that they wanted to make the trade official by Thursday. It's currently Wednesday night, right?
I'd be really surprised if League got DFA'd. There's some value in what he does, provided that he isn't constantly put into high leverage situations.
1 month, 2 weeks ago on Dodgers DFA Brian Wilson, make Brandon McCarthy official
Wonder if Farhandrew are looking into Varvaro, who was just DFA'd by the Braves.
1 month, 2 weeks ago on Dodgers to sign Brett Anderson, it’s good to be rich
@BIah Isn't that like the twelfth installment?
Gonna take some getting used to, that's for sure. Just wait 'til he dons one of those infamous camo unis.
@KMT59 @NoHitWin2008 @Moderately Excited Towel That's pretty damn crazy, man.
@KMT59 @Moderately Excited Towel Triangle?
@PagansOedipalComplex @NoHitWin2008 Looks like Cowart has dropped off since being promoted to AA.
Not sure about Cron.
@DBrim @NoHitWin2008 I knew it was pretty barren, but I didn't realize that it was so pitching heavy at the top. Wow.
Angels only have one position player among their top ten. DAMN.
@DKD I'd be shocked if they dealt Seager for Hamels. Urias, I wouldn't be AS schocked, but I'd still be surprised. And Joc fills a need on the '15 ML roster, so that doesn't seem all that likely either.
@InsideThePark I'm assuming that they'll do something with Ethier and Guerrero, and perhaps even Arruebarrena.
@Mike Petriello @NoHitWin2008 I'm inclined to feel the same way, simply because I trust the new FO to not need to scramble for a R. Hernandez type should he get injured.
Basically, there will be a plan in place.
@Purple Drank @NoHitWin2008 Super duper high, even.
The Anderson move seems totally defensible. Super high risk, but super high reward. I guess it really just depends on who our number 6/7 starters would be in the event of injury.
@PagansOedipalComplex @DBrim @666foldamort Yup, and if Greinke blows up in 2015 he can just opt-in to a lot of dollars.
@666foldamort Oddly enough, losing Greinke would hurt me a lot more than losing Kemp did. I would be bummed, but if we found a way to turn Greinke into Hamels then I wouldn't totally hate it.
@PagansOedipalComplex @NoHitWin2008 @LA_Woman Yeah, they really need to go on a nice fat losing streak.
We play the Kings on Sunday, and they just fired Malone. That one might be a W, but if not then we could easily go on a nice little streak over the next nine or ten.
@LA_Woman @PagansOedipalComplex I'm hopeful for something like 22-24 wins. This little win streak has been totally flukey.
@DBrim What's the over/under on number of player Friedzidi DFA this offseason? 10.5 sound about right?
Did we ever learn how much PHI is sending in the Rollins deal?
@PagansOedipalComplex Kobe's doing his part. 3/13 tonight!
@Mike Petriello @juanhenry Also, Padres.
1 month, 2 weeks ago on 2014 Dodgers In Review: OF Andre Ethier
@juanhenry I think there's a logical argument to be made there, but I also agree that the player should get to influence how he is inducted.
@mawp @NoHitWin2008 INTERESTING.
Maybe I should laminate the contents of this new law and wrap my growler with it. Old label is covered, and proof is given that it's okay to fill all in one shot.
@internet baseball fan potato friend @NoHitWin2008 @DBrim Really? That's fascinating to me given Oregon's reputation for being so liberal. Then again, I guess I could apply the same stereotype to CA and the growler laws.
Do you guys have that insufferable "near beer" there? Utah is a beautiful state and all, don't get me wrong, but...ugh.
@mawp @NoHitWin2008 I guess I get it, but it just seems so over-regulated.
I wish it was as simple as: 1) I have a growler, 2) I want to fill it with beer, 3) I fill it with beer and then drink the beer.
@DBrim @NoHitWin2008 Yeah, you either gotta share or run the risks of alcoholism. Or even worse, drink flat beer.
When I do growlers I open it once and that's that.
@DBrim @NoHitWin2008 I've been to some breweries in OR and filled up beer in a generic glass growler that I purchased at BevMO. I guess CA is different, but maybe it's OR that just has the more lax laws.
