@ginidietrich I have to agree. Isn't the customer always right? Plus, not everyone is going to follow directions. That is human nature.
Seriously. How could you not cold weather test your car? You can't get mad because the person was driving in cold weather that is the fault of your own. This has driven press away from the entire financial debacle over at Fisker which is probably a good thing since they are in their own financial trouble. So basically he is helping his competition by making a big scene! Just because you are a billionaire doesn't mean you bad mouth anyone who doesn't agree with you.
With the way the Red Wings have been performing lately they are better off declining any penalties they have. They have been out right ugly and I am glad they have succeeded at even strength but special teams are NOT there and it is really frustrating to watch as a fan.
I have to agree I am in the category of women you mentioned and I do complain about a singular device which has aggravated me only after I have gotten it replaced at the store three times and it still malfunctions. I have a Verizon Wireless Incredible which I have taken to the store to replace because it kept resetting itself two to three times and then every time I factory reset it so I don't have to take it to the store I complain on Twitter and Facebook. So at least people who are following me or are on Facebook don't ever purchase the phone. Have I really been listened to? No they tell me to go to the store so I can get a factory refurbished one never mind that each one I have gotten hasn't solved the problem and I am new to the contract. So I do tend to complain but they do tend to ignore me. So here I am voicing my opinion here because I can totally relate.
I thought it was strange when I wanted to get another copy of my car insurance that instead of emailing me a copy they sent it via snail mail. I didn't understand if it was just a printed copy why they couldn't just scan it and email it. So I don't think this company is alone at the avoidance of email.

I agree with the editorial calender I think it is essential. I write for a blog which does not have one and even though there was a deadline for one post not everyone participated in it. Which could cause a problem if it wasn't the off season for this blog and so far the creator is the one really publishing in the off season. I think there really does need to be goals set out in the beginning. It does make a lot of sense.
Congrats!! I talked briefly with Bo Fishback when he was in Detroit and I never followed up with him. Congrats on your new opportunity and if you need some help from my network let me know. I know I have some ideas about connecting on the sports side of things especially with the NHL. I am not sure what else I could help you with but if you ever need help just send me a message. Good luck!!! This should be very exciting and I know you will do great.
JayBaer ryancox ChrisBaggott Great read. Thanks for the break down because I was thinking the same thing. I did not get a Google + invite yet and I am wondering WHY do we need another network? I often wonder why do they need another version of getting out data? Don't they have enough ways already?
Really great advice. I try and go in with a mini plan of what I would do if I were to get the job. I think it shows an added thing because not only you did research but you also set up a plan of what you would do if you were to start there.
jeffespo Well I think Tim Thomas is the ONLY reason why Boston has gotten this far. Like I said I would rather have Vancouver win but I would really hate to see Thomas lose. He sort of reminds me of Hasek just not as many wins and stuff. He did well for the USA in the Olympics and this is just another version of that. He hasn't been pulled like Luongo but the team can't seem to play on the road. Major road block.
Do you know someone in Columbus? I will send it via FB I think.
Thanks. Your readers are going to be wondering what the heck happened with this comment section.
jeffespo Well Jeff they have hired three people since they realized they needed someone in the position. I didn't even get a chance to interview for the position and they hired someone form Boston. So he will be in the position for a long time I did an executive summary for the EVP of Marketing but that is as far as it went. I am backing off until the end of the season which is tonight.
I really would like to see Tim Thomas lift the Cup. He has been stellar all playoffs but I also would love to see Vancouver win it. If I could have Vancouver win it with Tim Thomas as the goalie. I think I would like it more. I just want triple overtime and stuff.
In 2002 I became a member of Red Wings World, it was a subscription based fan site for the Detroit Red Wings and then I noticed how many communities are surrounded by the team. I knew the team had issues they had to solve and I have been hooked ever since. Than I surrounded myself with tech people, went to conferences, and became an active member in the community. I am still hoping one day the Red Wings actually listen to my ideas but I am still actively seeking a digital marketing position. I keep up with trends, solve problems online and try and be helpful. Great post!
Kristen Sonsma Very cool stuff. Thanks for finding the article I appreciate it. Klout already includes Facebook if you want to connect it so that is cool. I think it is worth a look at but when used with other things.
Great stuff!!! I am very interested in learning how organizations view Klout. I have a decent Klout score and I am very passionate about social media and a given team and I would love to see how social media is used in that aspect. The organization I am very passionate about I don't think knows about it.
Thanks. I am trying to do this myself. I know my passion and I tried an angle for internal communication but that didn't sell itself but they have another position open which is digital marketing which I am strongly passionate about. I really want a way in and I am going to hustle my way in if I have to. Just trying to figure out another angle and how to do it.
Great advice. I am following my dream and hopefully I will wind up where I wanted to be all along. I have been an usher at the organization for five years and I have talked to the SVP for fifteen minutes and have been emailing him back and forth for the past month and he usually writes back. He has my resume and I am hoping to land an Account Coordinator position. I am hoping I can get it. I have wanted to be in this organization for six years and a fan of the team for all my life.
ChrisMcKinney Thanks. I am creating an executive summary and taking it to the top. I have a meeting with the Senior Vice President of Marketing and am going to be presenting it to him.
Good advice. I work part time at the arena as an usher and though it isn't glamourous or professional it is a networking type of job. I interact with the season ticket holders, I know what works and what doesn't and I am the human side behind the CRM data they are obtaining. Plus, internally as a culture I know what is wrong and how to better fix it. So I would hope if the right person listened to what I have to say I could move up in the organization.
I don't think it will have a long term effect but I do think there is going to be a lot of case studies done on this. So the publicity from this will last awhile.
I think he needs to definitely think before he hits the send button and know his audience. If he did then he probably would not have done this. But if he is known for mixing politics with his business then that is for him to do.
Common sense should have kicked in because with social media you have to think twice because Google doesn't forget and neither do millions of people.
