The Spurs don't quite understand that how lucky they were last year to make it to Finals. They caught a break with Kobe injury, then barely survive the Warrior but catch a big surprise to beat the Memphis. Their road to Finals was easier than this year. For some reason, God knows, I can not recognize this team how poorly they play in the first round. I am not sure whether they tune Pop out or they can not find the passion to play basketball in the playoff anymore.  There is no party will last forever. No great dynasty will last forever. Just look at Lakers. They won 5 championship in 10 years but how they fall apart now. It's time to break this team apart and start to rebuild.

I am sure Kawhi has not reach his potential yet since Pop don't make enough calls for him during regular season. He should have develop this guy more during regular season instead rest him. The guy is only 22 yrs old. That's Pop's fault. I sometimes think Pop is so confident to the point becoming arrogant and disregard the reality.

We may have to tank couples of season to find talents and rebuild. If Pop is no longer wants to coach, there are still many quality coaches out there.

Even they win this series, I do not think they can get passed Portland or anyone else.

Playing for national team has been a big problem for the Spurs since they are international club.  If not Manu playing for his country then Parker and vice versa. These 2 guys take turn to do it many years. Did anybody know when TD quit playing for US team? He quit since he turns 30 yrs old and merely focus to capture another title since 2007. Manu and TP  place their national team goal above their own club's goal. And who is paying for that. The FANS. Not the owner. I am tire of this. Last year, TP played great but Manu came up short. This year, Manu plays great but TP injured. All of these injuries are the cummulative effect from playing for their country. It's time to end.

Yes, TP plays this bad because all of above reasons listed by Andrew.

Green, Mills, Belinelli, Diaw can disappear in offense but they played poorly defense as well. These guys don't have heart to win championship. Regular season means nothing. I have watch the Portland/Houston series so interesting that they fight for every ball possession but the Spurs really play sissy ball now. They don't show any emotion, fire, grit or anything. Even if they get passed Dallas and continue to play this kind of ball then they will get kick in their rear by either Houston/Portland.

I miss those days when Bowen, Brent, Finley,Horry in our team. They are tough to beat. Not that sorry bench now plus Bonner.

The problem is Pop. He's stubborn. Why not let PM plays more minutes and gains more experience and confidence for playoff. TP MUST rest his body more and more. As long as Spurs are winning without TPor at least hold down second spot in the WC then I am fine with it. Of course, PM will not replace TP in starting lineup because TP experience. However, if TP and Pop are both stubborn then Spurs will doom in the playoff since TP returns too early. TP plays so much in the summer. It's got to stop.

TP MUST rest. The Spurs MUST demand him to sit if he wants to win championship. He should know better than that. He's been playing Olympics, deep in Finals, and now Euro championship. It is ridiculous for him to play basketball all year round. That's why he is out of gas in the Finals. TD quit playing for US olympics since he turned 29. That's why he's been able to help Spurs for so long. From TP, Diaw, to Manu keep playing for their own national team is just flat dumb. Who is paying them. The Spurs. Who buys tickets. The fans. Do the fans deserve voicing opinion whether those guys should play for their national team. I believe they do

I do agree with you guys. Jefferson is better offensively but would cost more money and average defender. JJ Hickson is a high energy defensively blocking shot but he is not very good offensively. Perhaps Spurs should offer Manu 5mil/yr for 2 year. Second year team option. We need to build the team balance both small and big that we can match up in the West and East.

We also lost to the Heat because our small line up is smaller and less athletic than the Heat. But we also need new players with playoff experience, have been in the war of playoff. We need players who can slash and drives to the basket, create fouls. We also need to have a better back up point guard. TP carries the team so much in the playoff with calf injury. That's why he played poorly in game 6 &7. Like I said, the Heat have 3 players can create shot, break down defense, and assists. We have virtually only TP. Manu is turnover prone. It is not  a simple solution but Mr.Buford needs to open pocket book a little to get less players but more solid. I don't see the points to fill up 15 players on the bench but we have only 8 guys can play in the playoff and apparently the Heat bench plays big in every game of the series.

Spurs should have at least 32 mil on salary cap next season. Let's spend money wisely on quality players rather than filling up 15 bodies at the mid-range salary and when playoff comes nobody is great enough to play. Miami is younger, more talents than Spurs and their bench. We lost because our bench is not good enough to relieve TD and TP for some rest. There are an idiot blame TP instead Manu for the loss made me laugh so hard. And blame coach Pop for benching TD. Well, Pop benched TD with 4 min left in GS series of game 6. Turn out Spurs won. So don't be running your stupid foul mouth in the blog. Players must make free throw and play tight defense. What I see Ray Allen shot is exactly Sean Elliott's shot against Portland 1999-2000 series WF. It's just a lucky one and TD missed the shot over Battier was just a bad luck. Perhaps, it is not meant to be for us to win this year. Remember to win championship always includes luck, health, and talents.

Dear Mr. Buford,

The Spurs must seriously consider to get help for TP and TD. Why did TP not make plays in the last two games? He's been carrying this team so much in the playoff. The Heat has three players to handle the ball: Wade, LBJ, and Chalmer. The Spurs has one. Manu is worthless. He is fatigue and injuries caught up with him.Why did the Heat construct the bench with quality players but you can not? Allen, Battier, Miller, Andersen, Cole and they are younger team. Here are the list of players I propose to cut:
Mills: 1.1 milBonner: 3.6 milSplitter: 3.6 mil just sign and trade him. Blair: 1 milManu: 14 milJackson: 10 mil is gone
With these players cost: 32 mil you can reconstruct more efficient bench. What's the point to have these players sit on the bench and can not contribute to playoff. That's why TD, TP don't get enough rest. As a result, we lost the battle. Obviously, Pat Riley is doing better job than you, Mr.Buford. In my opinion, Splitter is the second player behind Manu commits disappearing act in this series. Splitter can not play defense for footwork too slow. He can't create his own shot. He is pick'n roll player. Lack of athleticism. He can't jump to block shot. He can't even dunk. He can't make jump shot. He does not have low post game. If he ask for 10 mil/yr, let him walk. It's better pay Al Jefferson 12-14 mil  a year.Jaren Jack seems a good fit for Spurs. He is 29 yrs old. Low key and great personality for back up point guard.
Mr.Forcier should be busy to train Kawhi this summer. He is the most consistent player in this series and he will have a breakout season next year. He must learn how to create his own shot as Wade and LBJ. He will be franchise player because I see  so much untouch potential in him. Green must learn how to make pullup shot and drive the ball, handle the ball. Joseph must be put in 82 regular season game. D-leaugue is done. He must learn how to play in NBA now.We also need to get two more position of small forward and shooting guards to replace Manu and Jackson in the range 6-7 mil.Don't waste money on Manu. He is done, finished. No more.If we can do it, we are not afraid of Lakers, Oklahoma, Memphis, and Clippers. We will be back in the Finals.Again, don't be too stingy if you want to win championship.
Thank you

I would find his statement is stupid not funny because all of his stupid mistakes.  TD implies we made some bad decisions down the stretch which means Manu made two TO at the mark 5:39. That totally destroy the Spurs momentum right there. The 1st one he turns his head for the next play before he catches the ball and the second one is just panicked since he saw Wade trying to deflect his pass. As a result, he made TO. And the last one as the last nail in the coffin with 27 seconds left in the game. I think he should me voted as MVP for the Heat in this series because he helps them to win this series. Please cut him. He  is done. Just like Packers cut Brett Farve and they won Super Bowl. No player is above the team goal when it comes to hurt the team regardless how great he has been. @ajd21 You are damn right about Manu. For all the stupid fans continues to defend him at all cost. He is the one to blame for this loss. He let down TD and TP. 7 TO by himself more than 1/2 the TO of the whole team. The last TO is extremely stupid. No one around where he passed that ball to LBJ. Manu's mentality is crumbled now and need to bench him. Did everybody remember how stupid he fouled Dirk in WF 2006. That cost our trip to Finals. TP and TD don't make those stupid mistakes but him. The refs are going to hell  for the last no call on Ray Allen .Manu clearly had a shot to win that game. Listen up in the yahoo sport. Van Gundy and Mike Breen both agreed that was a clear foul. As I told you guys, devil Crawford and David Stern want game 7 and crown Miami.

Those who continues to defend Manu just open your eyes tonight to see how crappy he plays tonight. He is accountable to at least 6 TO and a critical To down the stretch. I just can't stand how he plays tonight. As a result TP is exhausted because no one can handle the ball. What a waste tonight that vintage TD performance. Splitter is a system player. He is a pick 'n roll player. He can not create his own shot. He can not make a jump shot and he can't even dunk like TD. His problem bring the ball down to low so he can leap for a dunk when he catch the ball. Thus he got the ball stripped. He lays up the ball then got blocked because he can't leap to the basket when he catch the ball without momentum. He is just pathetic player. If he asks for two much money, it's better to get Al  Jefferson. At least he can stretch the floor with his jump shot and hook shot. He is not great with defense but he can play low post. Who is afraid to guard Splitter when he does not have a reliable hook shot. He can pump fake only limited of times until defensive player figure it out not to get baited next time.

Tonight watching him playing is so upset. Whether the Spurs win the series because he made the winning series shot or not, the Spurs can resign him at only at most 2 yrs for 4 mil/yr to show the Spurs's loyalty to him. If he wants more, let him walk. I can understand the fans are sentimental and fond of him. However, if the Spurs do not win this championship for TD, I can only blame on Manu because right now he is in the deepest funk of his career. The plays broken down because the Heat dares him to shoot the three. They give him space and he already lst his first step

I am not sure how the Spurs are going to approach game 4 with hamstring injured Parker.  Apparently, Manu is struggling big time in this series.  He looks exactly like in the GS series.  It's time for him to step up since TP is injured. Manu can say whatever he wants to say. Just back up his words by action. Green and Neal are not going to have another performance like last night in game 4. However, Green is the only guy consistently knocking down shot in this series. I hope he is going to carry us to the victory. Duncan is still missing some easy shot. He is not in the same rhythm as in Memphis series. Who knows why??? Kawhi is incredible. For three consecutive games, James shot for 7-16, 7-17, and 7-21. That is not a fluke defense from Kawhi and of course with team help.  Offensively, TD has to do better job and continue to abuse Bosh, Andersen, and Haslem. I just pray miracle to happen again. Who knows which players are going to have a breakout game and carry Spurs to the victory of game 4.  Then Spurs are going to have a good chance to close out the series. One notice, it seems the referees made more calls for Spurs last night. As we know, NBA is all about money. I am afraid the refs are going to call a lot of bad calls against the Spurs in game 4 to tie up the series. Then the Spurs are going to take game 5. Then go on the road for game 6 & 7.

What do you think, Spurs fan?

TO ALL THE SPURS FANS,

REFEREES MADE ME VOMITED BECAUSE THE GAME WAS RIGGED BY DAVID STERN. HE WANTED THE MEMPHIS TO EVEN THE SERIES BUT THE GREATNESS DUNCAN DESTROYED DAVID STERN’S ILL WISH.

THIS WIN SHOVES IN STERN’S FACE

THAT HOW I SEE IT. FOULS CALLED ON TIM DUNCAN ARE INTENTIONALLY TO TAKE HIM OUT OF THE GAME. DID EVERY FAN SEE FOUL NUMBER 3 AND 5 CALLED ON TD, ESPECIALLY NUMBER 5. THAT IS THE OUTRAGEOUS BS FOUL CALLED ON TD.GASOL WAS BARELY TOUCHED BY TD AND HE WAS WHISTLED.  THE MEMPHIS CAME BACK BECAUSE THEY GAVE THE GAME TO THE CHARITY LINE. THE INTEGRITY OF THE GAME IS CONTROLED BY REFEREES. THE LONGER SERIES, THE MORE MONEY, HIGHER RATING, BETTER FOR DAVID STERN. ON THE OTHER SIDE, THEY CALLED FOUL NUMBER 3 ON CONLEY WHEN HE DID NOT FOUL EITHER DURING LATE SECOND QUARTER. WHY DON’T THEY JUST LET THEM PLAY FAIR AND SQUARE?

ALSO, THEY ALSO CHEATED THE SPURS BY GIVING MEMPHIS A FLAGRANT 1 FOUL ON MANU WHEN THEY CLEARLY KNOW THAT ALLEN FAKING HIS HEAD INJURY. THE REPLAY SHOWS THAT HE NEVER HIT HIS HEAD ON THE FLOOR. I THOUGHT THAT I AM WATCHING SOCCER. WHAT A SHAME TONY ALLEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A FEW NOTICES

SPURS SIT TP TOO LONG EARLY OF THE 4TH QUARTER. NO TP, NO MANU, AS A RESULT, THE OFFENSE BECOMES STAGNANT AND MEMPHIS DEFENSE ROTATION WAS QUICK AS WELL.  BONNER DID NOT PLAY WELL IN THE LAST QUARTER INSTEAD OF NEED TO PLAY SPLITTER.

TP SEEMS EXSHAUSTED DOWN THE STRETCH. HENCE, NO PENETRATION, NO OPEN SHOT.  THE SPURS MUST LEARN HOW TO PLAY THE CLOCK WHEN THEY HAVE BIG LEAD. BURN THE CLOCK AND MAKE A GOOD PLAY. COUPLE TIMES, TONY RACKS UP THE SHOT ONLY IN 12 SECONDS. THAT’S POOR EXECUTION.

DESPITE THE WIN, I AM STILL LIVID BY THE REFEREES. INTEGRITY IS COMPROMISED BY THE MONEY.

Pop is amazing coach. Who could have benched the top 5 NBA player ever in the 4th quarter in a deciding game 6.

I finally see Leonard knock  down open 3s in 4th quarter. He did not have that confidence in previous games. Hopefully he stays consistent. Same goes for Green. TP looks like the old TP when he was on the tear mid season. Very concern about TD. He seems fatigue and miss seven shot after scoring 10 pts and 6 boards in the first quarter. This team is going to advance far in the playoff if Leonard and Green play brilliantly as in game 5. TP will get his own points, TD will be 20-10 if playing 30-35 min a game. Manu needs to be more consistent. I love hard nose defense from Joseph. He plays very solid D on Jack. Great relief for TP. Diaw plays fairly OK. Splitter is pathetic. Time to move on with another big body. He looks lost on offense since the ankle injury. He totally forgets to play pick'n roll.

It would be nice if  Spurs close it out in Game 6 and prefer Memphis goes to 6 or 7 game with OKC. Give TD a break.

I hope we can get Al Jefferson, JJ hickson, or Varejao next year and Chandler Parsons, Jarrett JAck next year. Saving a total  34 mil from Jackson, Splitter, Bonner, Blair, Neal, Mill, Manu. Maybe resign Manu at 6 mil/yr for 2 years and 3rd yr team option.

Manu is an old man. You can not ask him to do so much on defense. Otherwise, he is fatigue by the 4th quarter. No more legs and no more jump shot falling.

Just dump him for better center as Al Jefferson available even though he is pricey. Splitter can npt create his own shot. He lives by pick'n roll. He is not good to this team in this series.
