@val45k @Dragonologist So in other words, as long as the phone you like is got all the bells and whistles, it's fine, but if it's someone else's preffered size It's dumb, stupid looking and unfair. When they were making all the phones smaller and smaller a decade ago, I had to use phones that were not top of the line, so I wouldn't get a cramp in my hands, holding one, now it's my turn to have the latest and greatest. I'm sure a decade from now it will be something else, maybe folding or projecting phones or something like the microsoft glass.

why are so many people going on about larger phones, becoming standard. They are just one option being offered, you can still buy smaller phones, in fact there are more smaller phones available at the moment than phones over 5". If larger phone formats sell better, of coarse the manufactures are going to make more of them, but there are still going to be smaller phones available.
@val45k max size for your hand may be", but is not for my hands. Why do people think their's are the only dimmentions that matter.
@pleasegetreal My guess is that it's easier to pack in the better specs on a larger phone, just like the larger tablets tend to have better specs than the smaller ones. You just have to deside what is more important to you, size, specs., cost or some combination of them all. I am glad Samsung is offering a wide selection of all and letting me choose, and not just saying here this is what you need don't bother asking for anything else.
@MatteoRodrigo I don't know about you, but I don't carry my phone in my pocket. I prefer a belt clip or pouch myself. If I could get a 7" tablet with a phone built in I would probably use a shoulder harness as it would be easyest in my line of work.
@pleasegetreal Who said anything about them being flagship phones, they are just one of many options available, unlike apple that seams to think all phones should look and feel and operate just the same.
@ironzey I totally agree, I was ticked when I found out the Note 8 wouldn't be avail. with a phone in the U.S.
Not everyone has small hands. I want something big enough for my hands. If they would put a phone in a 7 inch tablet I would love it. And no I wouldn't hold it up to my ear to use, that's what headsets or bluetooth is for. Right now I carry a Note 2 for my phone and an IPad for when I need to call up drawings online for troubleshooting in the field. I understand that a lot of people won't want or need a 7 inch phone, but don't deny me one if I want it.
