@kiddet Hahahaha, so your big response to my last statement is "I'm not stupid. You're stupid." I guess I overshot when I was guessing how old you were, as it's now obvious that you're 10.
@samuel0917 Wow. That was really intelligent. How'd you get out from under the bridge, troll?
@kiddet So I guess this means I won't be getting an intelligent response from you?
@kiddet So Michigan football started in 1879, whereas OSU football didn't start until 1890. I'd say you're team had just a small benefit of having more than a decades worth of practices up until that point.
OSU didn't have a coach who was that good until around 1934 with Francis Schmidt, who went 4-3 against Michigan until he left in 1940. And during those three losses, Fritz Crisler was the head coach of Michigan.
In 1951, Woody Hayes became head coach at Ohio State, where he went 17-11 against Michigan, during which time Bo Schembechler was Michigan's head coach. After he left, Schembechler stayed until 1989, where he went 6-5 against OSU.
Gary Moeller and Lloyd Carr coached against John Cooper from 1990-2000, when they went 8-2 against OSU. Cooper never could win the big ones (and I mean against Michigan, mostly), which ultimately got him fired. This brings us to the Tressel era, in which OSU went 9-1 against Michigan. Since I'm figuring you're probably around your 20's, Lets go back about 25 years and look at the records since then, rather than going back to the end of the 19th century and beginning of the 20th century. If we go from 1988-2013, the rivalry record that you may have been alive for is 12-12-1.
I'm not trying to disparage Michigan, I'm just saying let's put together a time frame that isn't utterly ridiculous in it's span. OSU-Michigan is the greatest rivalry in sports, but it really didn't become that until Woody Hayes became head coach. Yes, Michigan does have to overall record, but what makes them so important to college football history is the rivalry with OSU.
@kiddet Really? So you're going to hang your hat on a win against us during one of the worst seasons in OSU's history? And a record that was likely made before you were born? Does it hurt that much that OSU owned you during the Tressel era? And the fact that the last time you beat us this decade was when we had an interim head coach? What you fail to understand is that I want your program to be good because it makes it that much better when we keep winning.
@samuel0917 That's..... just so sad. Don't you have anything better to do with your life than type up stupid comments?
@Tell Burke So basically you're mad that people cheer on a very good program? I get the feeling that you're just a very sad, lonely hipster who only follows bottom-dwelling programs.
@samuel0917 This is just so, so sad. Trying to be a leech is so.... pathetic.
@kiddet What's the matter? Tired of losing to OSU?
@WoodyHayesSucks What a sad little man you are.
