@jpk0721 I'm off today, so I'm bringing the knowledge.
Here's press release for week 12. It lists the announcer assignments. Underneath COV there is a percentage. That percentage dictates how many FOX affiliates in the country are going to see that game. Below that shows what those markets are. You will see Cowboys-Giants at 4:25 have 96% which obviously means, its the A game. The higher the percentage and the markets, the obvious how the games rank.
This particular week, was incredibly rare because CHRIS FREAKING MYERS got assigned a B game. How do we know its a B game? Because Carolina-Miami had a whopping 72% coverage throughout the country. From there you can go down the list of percentages and determine what rank the game is. More often the distribution between two games is even, so you can determine which is higher by markets or just say its a B/C game.
As for the percentages, all I did was make a cumulative list of all the percentages of game for the season and averaged it out. And based on the percentages, one of my points was to clarify Albert's team did not have the majority of the B games. In fact for the most part, they were largely demoted last year.
3 months, 2 weeks ago on Conversation @ http://awfulannouncing.com/2014/exclusive-nfl-on-fox-broadcast-teams-for-this-season.html
@jpk0721 This is the avg distribution, each team got within the 15 of 17 weeks I found. The definition of B, C, D games is based on the average distribution percentage that will air in the country. If 45-66% of the country is going to get a game at 1 PM and that's the second most, that's your B game. FOX broke down the percentage in their release. Albert's crew had a few B game audiences, but as the season progressed, Burkhardt and Lynch's profile rose, while the Albert team were some cases relegated to D games.
Also, it was reported/rumored from the beginning, that FOX had high expectations for the Burkhardt-Lynch team, BK had football experience working on Cowboy games on Compass and Lynch star rising, even while working with Stockton. But all four teams were in 'competition' of sorts for the postseason game.
FOX Sports.com has most of the releases, but you can google search from other sites like Fang Bites, Sports Media Watch etc and you can do that math. Unless attributed from a legitimate source, I will stand by my statement that wikipedia is NOT and SHOULD NOT be used as a confirmed source.
@jpk0721 @Sa9273 I got a job so its a little difficult to make this complete, but I did the best I could with what I have. I will try to give you my definite findings on my free time.
Nonetheless based on Fox sports press releases of distribution of 2013. For 15 of 17 weeks (missing weeks 13 & 17)
Buck/Aikman (or sub): 52%
Brenn/Bill (or sub): 20% plus or minus
Burkhardt Lynch (or sub) 21%
@jpk0721 @Sa9273 @tonyc Every Spring I go on Wikipedia and delete passages from CBS pairs and FOX pairs that are either unconfirmed or just flat out lies. Posts include Turner SLRs like Rachel Nichols and Craig Sager on CBS crews, FOX Sports 1 College guys getting promoted, ESPN freelancers jumping networks. Its the dumbest, nonsensical thing by immature ass hat. And if its easy to do so with something as innocuous as NFL TV pairs, imagine other pages on wiki that are littered with dumb, opinionated inaccuracies or bold face lies.
Also, I'm a regularly on the 506 forums and the user community constantly points out and discuss the unreliability of wiki. Its a known fact so sorry to knock you off your pedestal, but your Wikipedia diploma is useless. Do some real research.
I *think' Burkhardt Lynch will get the bulk of the B games is accurate, what isn't accurate is that Albert did last year. If you LEARNED the patterns last year, you would've noticed the three middle teams had an almost even level of distribution of B-C games last season.
Again, my friend - do real research, don't trust wikipedia.
@jpk0721 @tonyc @sfitz0076 Point of order: NEVER trust Wikipedia. Its usually misinformation by trolls who want to be right. The FOX release had
Albert, Moose & Goose on the third paragraph, but listed as the the crew. I don't think anyone should read too much into it. 3-5 will likely get mix and match through the year. I think Burkhardt and Lynch will get the bulk, if not all the B games.
'Back, at the track, to the wall, WE ARE TIED!' Solid call IMO.
