I think he needs guidance more than anything he has too much raw talent to not even try to mold. Well for what it's worth remember when Blair went to Russia to play and then they shipped right back? Wonder what that was all about? Blair certainly can play in any Euro league. I think it's those euro coaches.

The reason he's starting to show what was expected of him early on is because he's actually playing more than 10 minutes in a frickin game! Right Pop? Finally you get it Pop. and stop experimenting with undersized centers and PF that disappear in the playoffs. Let's keep it coming. Hey Pop is that too much to ask for. GHEEESH!

 @dannyholloway Excuse me, That's where the Gasols played in the Liga. Sorry to tell you they may not be the most athletic but they get the game really good. They seem to grasp the fundamental aspects of the game much sooner and much better than american kids. american kids tend to be more athletic and use that to their advantage but so many of these college kids that have high hopes just don't get it and it hurts them when they try to get an NBA career going. Those are called busts. Wonder why? European ballers start their pro careers at such a young age because they are taught the fundamentals at such a young age. Case in point Manu Ginobili.

@Boo-J Curry is too slow to defend the PNR and Powell to small to defend the Gasols and too small to defend the Gasols and Cousins of the NBA. My guess is the FO will doing some 10 day contracts thru out the season for a big.

I know many of us want to see Blair, Bonner gone but in one of Pop's interviews a week ago or so he stated Blair and Tiago will be better for us this coming season. Read into that. And good luck with that  in Blair's regard. Here we go again the "Blair Witch Project" continues. this old man is just wasting Timmy's last gasp for a fifth. We aint getting it like that. Get Fesenko  for the cheap before Miami does so Tiago can see some playing time.

They are looking at him for his shot blocking abilities and defense as well as his athleticism. At 6'9" 225 and jumping abilities to go along with his shot blocking defense he could be the Durant neutralizer if he's aggressive enough.

 @rtesoro440 The only way to get a big is either through a trade (Neal/Blair-the writing is on the wall) or several more players get waived. I doubt the 2nd option. Someone is getting traded real soon.

Guess he realized he could play with D Leaguers. Hope he gets an invite to Spurs training camp but even if he does ok he may be sent to the Toros for this year or maybe part of it if he improves exponentially.

To have that kind of length and PG skills and good shooting he can play Manu's position in the future while operating the point if needed like Manu does sometimes. like Patty Mills but since he has raised interest from other clubs I would imagine at this point it wouldn't be a bad a idea to bring in DeColo to see if he can stick with the club and package Mills with another player to get a good big as rtesoro440 mentioned. I'd rather keep Mills over CJ but if he can bring good trade value I'm there. I've had enough Dejuan Blair. Maybe they can package him and Blair for somebody really good at that price. But who? And the search continues.

Reply

 @AaronWatters  @SpurGuy  @russman138  @CraigThomas

Ryan Richards just signed with a Georgian team in the Euroleague and stated that the Swiss team wasn't a good fit for him. He started off really good for the swiss team for the first 5 -7 games then for no reason they cut his minutes and let the other forward who's been with them forever take all his minutes. He left.

Seems Euroleague is cut throat. Any way the Georgian team signed him for the remainder of the season and their playoffs start May 3rd. He didn't say if the Spurs were asking about him or not. Remains to be seen after these playoffs.

The Spurs FO should just bring him to the Toros after he's done with the his Euro playoffs to see what they have. I don't want to wait 5 years to see if he's a bust or not. He's got skills I'd rather see him on a Toro court now to get this over with.

No. I'd rather do this... RJ, CJ, and DJB. DJB isn't playing too much when it counts. He's the reason why they can't rotate him in some combos. Why do we need to accommodate him? If Bonner goes off this playoffs then we would have done the wrong thing by trading him. Plus he's 6'10" regardless of his athleticism. He's due to take the monkey off his back in the playoffs. You got him shooting 3's and Timmy, Spliter, and Kaman controlling the paint to mention more trips to the rim if Bonner gets off.

@KrisPittman

I agree, and people may be passing judgement on him in 2011 for things he said in 08' but the truth of the matter is I watch games for basketball 1st and off the court things are out of my hands anyway so I don't concern myself with that unless it deters the chemistry of the team. As of now he hasn't had one practice with the team so we can't really pass judgement on him. What happened to second chances? Besides he has completely healed and feels really good he has said. And it would be shame if he plays like he did before and we didn't get him. If people havn't been reading the Washington post on Howard in the last weeks he has been a big part in mentoring the young guys in the Wizards team and has been applauded for such efforts.
