Little Feat. "Willin'". Legend has it Lowell George was in Zappa's band when Lowell played it for Frank. Zappa promptly kicked him out of his band - recognizing his talent and making him go it on his own.
@DP_Snotty You are the best DP!

@EHBIGAPPLE @BulldogLine Ha ha! Dave Balon. I knew that was my missing winger from the 60's. Brylcream combover. Classic.
I was pretty devastated this morning. Really. Bummed.
First of course a HUGE “Thank you” to Kevin for being an
awesome host and letting us partake in this amazing community. I think I’m not
alone in checking this blog way too often. Thank you to Kevin, Adam and James.
Your insight, dedication, and humor make the NYRangersBlog the best stop on the
Second, I have never been more proud and happy to be a NY
Rangers fan. I cannot emphasize this enough. Some people get it, others don’t. My kids who are 18, 16, and 14 are ALL
IN. Our high five pile up on the couches with Boyle’s goal will never be
forgotten. But with it there is a certain aura. “And she’s a Rangers fan?!?”.
And lastly, the reason I physically and mentally am able to write
this is that after watching the post game interviews; Richie struck a cord:
“No-one will ever know but us how much fun it was and how we came together.” I
disagree. Yet, this captures the season. WE KNOW HOW MUCH FUN IT WAS AND HOW WE
WE WERE HERE FROM DAY ONE. THE ROAD TRIP, THE SLUMP, THE
SLOW BURN UP THE LADDER. THE NICKNAMES. It was Freaking Fun!!!! Amazing!!! We
Overcame Challenges!!! We laughed, we cried!!! We totally invaded the Pens’
site after game 7. (Honestly, one the funniest experiences I’ve ever had). And
we welcomed the true “Bleeding Broadway Blue” every step of the way.
This team; every freaking member, was integral and amazing.
Getting to know each and every one of this team in a small way was rewarding
and what made me feel I was part of the bigger picture. I never knew so much
about a team since ’71-’72. When I was 8.
Thank you again Kevin. And thanks to all the knuckleheads
who frequent the site for the humor, passion, and the most random references to
pop culture, philosophical wisdom, French and English literature in their
transposed translations of the letters between the Marquis de Sade and Henry
III. Oh, and squirrels.
Happy Summer. Happy Father’s Day to all the Dads.
(Which, if anyone did not know, is a reference to Walter Tzachuk’s
line with mostly Bill Fairburn and Steve Vickers in the late 60’s early 70’s.)
Let's go Rangers!!!

That's awesome. Especially as it looks so 70's photoshop. Aka cut and paste.
Let's. Go. Rangers!!!!!!
This team has been about overcoming adversity all
Dolan sticking it to them with a 9 game road
trip to start…
Staal returns concussion then eye injury…
Nash return from concussion…
Richie coming back from horrendous season…
Hank’s bad start…
Despondency after being down 3-1 to the Pens…
NHL and scheduling…
NHL and refs…
Did we do it to ourselves these first three?
But when we get into this situation, we have
shown TOTAL RESILIENCY.
There was a narrow road to make it to the
Final. No one expected us to be here except us idiots.
But now with ONE GAME, we can turn it all
It’s NOT over!
Let’s go Rangers!!!

This is classic Rangers. Yet, somehow, this year's team keeps overcoming. LGR! Above and beyond!!!
Ok. Let's do this. We are the better team. We have a bigger heart. We have the best fans. And we have the SQUIRREL!!! Let's go Rangers!!!!
This is going to be EPIC!
A Day at the Races. Hail Fredonia!

Beautiful! Pastry chef?
Listen to the piped in crowd noise....
This is ridonculous. Horse racing. Who cares?
Correct me if I'm wrong, but St. Louis is here for another year. I think the C may be a tad early for Mac. With regards to Richards, some of his interviews indicate he is the leader. Which clearly he is. But ON ICE production is part of that. A pat on the back and a good speech does not win games. I'm not suggesting he is coasting, but he, and all of us, need to give the 125% effort every game, every period, every shift. LGR!
See you Saturday.
We took control at the end of the third. Need some carryover. LGR!
Let's take this to eleven!
Good pressure here. Keep at it.
Sing songy voice: "well it's all right and it won't be long..."
I was engaged that summer. (It was also the summer of OJ). But after growing up and attending lots of games as a kid from '68-'72 and beyond (the one guy on the trading desk living in Manhattan who would take the tickets when no one had asked a client), I had been through the ringer and been burned so often I was not nearly as attached to the '94 team as others.
Plus, being engaged I was still convincing my soon to be wife I was a normal person. But I did attend game five. And blamed it all on myself. But I was not where I am now - with every cell of my existing rooting for our boys.
But when we won in seven, I called my Dad and Mom, we shared a tear or three.
Now we are three generations of Broadway Blue. My three kids are all on board. Mom and Dad too. My wife, not so much. But now I can yell at the TV as loud as possible. She now knows I'm not normal.
I love this team.
OMG. Ask and ye shall have. LGR!

I'm just nervous.
Another unsung thing, have you noticed how good hank is with the puck?
Actually, it was licking the swill. Next round, I'll put out some fresh IPA.
F yeah! Moooaaaaarrrrr!!!!
Then you would need to take stagecoach to MSG.
Plus during a 'real' game, I'm too busy focusing and yelling at the TV.
Perhaps the best part of my awesome day was pulling into my driveway and seeing, playing among the empty recycling bins that were once chockablock with empties; a lone squirrel.
I really don't care who we play.
'Sup dudes and dudettes.
I said it before and I'll say it again, I LOVE THIS TEAM! Let's go Rangers!!!

I had so much fun goofing on the Pens' blog last round. And I'm glad we are not going to waste our time on the Habs'. Rest up. Night all. Not done yet.
An ordinary hero.
Said it before but as a kid I respected the Habs. This team was such a joke though. Just no respect for the game.
That was sick.
Great team. Great teammates! Great blog mates. I'd follow you all into battle any day of the week!
It's an ALL CAPS NIGHT!
And we get to rest!
Awesome! Stanley Cup Finals! I love this team!
Given Klein's recent games, Diaz with Klein gives us an agressive tandem. AV will probably have Klein stay back and let Diaz fire away! LGR!
