@SkepticNinja @Chad Moriyama I would actually like to see the best team in baseball win a World Series. Hasn't happened since like 2009.

@Chad Moriyama @ tomato This. So much so. Single games = random outcomes that over the course of a season normalize. People in the states want playoffs for some reason. Each team should play each other a set number of times home and away. Best record wins.

@TellMyWifeISaidHello @ tomato Agreed. Too bad the postseason has no relation to the regular season because baseball

@Purple Drank @Chad Moriyama I would take this, yes. Kinda makes me wish we were a wild card team one of these years. They have done incredibly well recently.

@Birdman79 @capnsparrow Crosby is an incredibly gifted offensive player. He is shit on defense. Beyond shit actually.

Also, the Pens have horrific net minding in Fleury. That team with a reasonable defense and top-10 goalie wins the east every year.

@corylol @DodgerLivingInWeHo @ tomato @Purple Drank @Birdman79 That 70s Line is +33 in 9 games this season. It's beyond ludicrous. So happy I'm a 1/2 season ticket holder. Going to games has been so enjoyable.

@PasadenaDodger @DodgerLivingInWeHo @TellMyWifeISaidHello Yes, CK is clearly the best pitcher in baseball. That's not being debated. He has 3 rings to CK's 0. CK will get his, but for now, Bum gets that little bit of a bump.

@ tomato @DodgerLivingInWeHo @Purple Drank @Birdman79 Kings were the 8th seed in 2012, but post Carter trade were #2 in Goals Scored. That team was fucking insane and anyone watching them the last 6 weeks of the season knew they were going to crush things.

As for 2014, yeah, they were a 6 seed, but it isn't like anyone sat there and really thought of them as a 6 seed. Pretty much everyone had them in the West finals, at worst.

@Purple Drank @DodgerLivingInWeHo @Birdman79 Totally agreed with that. I do hope at some point baseball goes to 3 7-game series. It would I think lead to different outcomes in teams making it further in the playoffs who have better regular season results.

@TellMyWifeISaidHello Honestly, I gotta give it up for Bumgarner. I hate the guy, but dude gets it done in the postseason consistently and threw 14 innings of shutout baseball in 3 days in the world series. That shit is impressive, any way you slice it.

@Purple Drank @Birdman79 This. My biggest gripe with baseball over all other major north american sports is that it is the sport most often where the best team doesn't win. In hockey and the NBA, very very often, the best team wins because they have to win 16 games and 4 7-game series. Hard to ride that much luck. NFL is slightly different, although on average, the top teams in the regular season tend to reach the Super Bowl. In baseball? Postseason results have very little relation to regular season numbers.

@ThtsaPaddlin @MalkinCookies @Purple Drank Suprisingly often. It's extremely hard for teams to win and there isn't a huge amount of lucky in hockey compared to most sports. Yes, teams do ride hot goalies (similar to hot bats or pitchers), but the odds that they win 16 games is extremely unlikely. If you look back at the list of Stanley Cup winners, it's a pretty impressive group.

@exceedingly boring potato Honestly, one of my partners has a Tesla. I'm not that impressed by it. The interior is unbelievably stark and aside from the touch screen and the battery, there isn't a whole lot doing with the car.

That said, if you want to buy me one, I think that would be a prudent investment in my future

@KMT59 @BehindOrangeLines @efb I think what BOL said above is correct. I used to some basic worker's comp stuff back in NYC and it really does come down to a multitude of factors, including previously earned wages, expected wages, years of expected employment, years of previous employment, severity of injury, etc. There's no real set amount, although I do think that California does publish some sort of schedule regarding how to determine such a figure.

But yeah, simple answer is it's a complicated formula. Your worker's comp judge will make that determination at whatever hearing you have.

Are you pro per or represented by counsel?
