It's always amazing how proud some people are of their ignorance.

I'm not sure how that one is any more ridiculous than his other home run calls.

When is ESPN going to ask its new analyst, Ray Lewis, about all this?

Leave aside the tastelessness of it. Where's the humor? What's supposed to be funny about that? Shock value is not the same as wit.

I agree with Andrew. "More money than God" is phrase I've heard many times. Gee may have said some stupid things, but this isn't one of them.

Are you seriously trying to tell me that more people would watch baseball if they conducted interviews during the game? That hearing players say things like "We just have to keep our heads up and keep working hard" or "We need to do the little things right and get some breaks" in the fifth inning is going to make people tune in? Come on.

I listened to about sixty seconds of that program. I could actually feel myself getting dumber.

It's irresponsible to make an accusation like that with no evidence. The fact that he's playing well is not evidence. It's unusual for an older player to have a big year, but it's not unheard of. Would it shock me to learn Ortiz is using PEDs? No. But it's irresponsible to assume it without evidence.

@Brad_Gagnon And they were quite famous for a while. I'm not saying that Tebow has not gotten an inordinate amount of media attention--he clearly has. I'm just saying he's not entirely a creation of the media. He'd have had some fame anyway, just not nearly as much.

I don't know that it's entirely fair to say he's a star mainly due to the media. He did, after all, win the Heisman Trophy.
@calvinmasterson @BradenMatthewLadner The verse you cite does not say slavery is correct. Rather, the Apostle Paul recommends that slaves not rebel against their owners. This is in accord with Jesus' statement that all of us should not resist evil persons, that we should turn the other cheek, that we should love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us, etc. It deals with our response to evil. It does not say that evil is good.

A much smaller market, obviously, but for years a radio station in Jamestown, North Dakota carried the Angels games because of Jamestown native Darin Erstad.

So it looks like Adnan Virk takes over the Steve Berthiaume role on BBTN. I'll miss Steve, but I've liked what I've seen of Adnan, too.

It would be more accurate to say "Baseball Tonight airs nightly at 10 PM & Midnight except for when it doesn't." They always say it will be on at those times, but it's often pre-empted.
