@dtootall I would think it would be a no brainer to keep him over Ayers.  If he does leave I won't miss the frequent traveling violations and turnovers he likes to commit but at least he is a strong big body that can mix it up against Dwight Howard or against Memphis.  We have Bonner if the team wants to go stretch who can hit more consistently than Ayers.

I don't understand RC's thinking on it.

Sure it adds realism to the player models but the realism in the game play has been lost for years.  I would much rather have a game that plays great and is fun to play than a great looking and sounding game.

2K Has been loaded with game play problems for years that has been neglected with a fix every year.  Just a few are freezing of my player after the All Star weekend, incorrect season stats during association mode, not keeping correct quick match stats, and freezing of your console.  Sometimes the ball will go off of the other team and it will be called off of you or one of my personal favorites is a back court call when you are clearly past half court.  These are just a few but I could go on for a couple more paragraphs.

The controls this year are absolutely horrible with the analog stick.  The response time is slow and the controls feel clunky.

This game has been partially broken and will stay that way since 2k already has your money.

Every year I laugh when the reviews come out from IGN and Gamespot because it is basically the same game from the year before with a couple of minor changes and these sights continue to tell everyone how great it is. Either they are being paid off or we have become accustom to accepting mediocrity as video game players.

If you are in love with graphics then this is the game for you.  If you like a good gaming community, quick responsive controls, and a game that does not periodically freeze up try something else unless you can get it for about 30 bucks then it might be worth it.

I am so sick of hearing about the Clippers.  The players are still the same players. What has the great Chris Paul done other than get past the first round?  Rivers is not going to turn Griffen into Garnett and Reddick is not becoming Allen.  They are who we thought they where.  I wish I knew Barkley I would definitely enjoy taking his money.

I agree with you that we should see the starters minutes turned down during the regular season but at the same time when do they get turned up?

During the playoff run last year it looked like Parker, Manu and Tim got tired when all of a sudden they where being counted on for 35 and 40 minute nights when they didn't play them all year.  As a head coach this has got to be a tough call for when the time is right.  You play them too much at the end of the season to condition them for increased minutes and you get killed by the fans and media when one gets hurt but if they can't handle the 40 minute nights they run out of gas because they have not played a 40 minute night all season.  Especially Parker who is running all over the court when he is playing and now tack on 10 more minutes that he is not use too.  It is a total catch 22.

I will stick to my coaching from the keyboard.  Pop can have it.

I really don't see this meaning much at all.  So we get Howard who is coming off of his 2nd major knee surgery and hasn't had a good season in about 7 years since he was with Dallas.  There are too many if's in the Josh Howard equation.  If he gets healthy, stays healthy, learns the system, starts playing well.  He has not shown any of these characteristics in years. I understand that he is cheap and the risk is minimal but we need to address a more important concern.  The backup point guard.

I like Joseph in 2 years but Tim doesn't have 2 years.  Mills is G. Neal light and Nando has lost his confidence. Make something happen RC so we don't have Manu and Marco run down by season's end running the point.

I know it is just preseason and Pop is tinkering with zone but please no more 1-3-1 zone.  The Heat showed how you beat the 1-3-1 zone last night by putting 2 shooters in the corners. It is a terrible defense when a team has all of those shooters on the court.

The Gary Neal SF thing was pretty funny.  I don't think he ever played the three.  I was waiting for them to refer to Blair as the backup PG.

I am really liking our bigs for the first time in a long time minus Bonner.  Baynes and Ayers should be able to push him out of the rotation but you never know with Pop's love affair with Bonner.  Baynes needs to refine his footwork and learn the spots where he is going to get the ball. I really like his hustle and physical play.

Leonard's transition offense has come a long way from his rookie year from I hope he finishes that to I know he is going to finish that.

Not worried about Parker he looks like he is just going through the motions right now.  I think he feels the same way I do.  Is it the regular season yet?

Is it just me? Manu and Marco look like they could be related.  The M&M boys.  Marco also looks like the guy from the movie The Professional.

I like Joseph but since Duncan only has 2 years left on his contract we somehow need to find a veteran pg.

That was a tough game to watch last night with all of the finals references and Heat announcers. Note to self: Next time we play the Heat watch it with the volume muted and have adult beverages readily available.

I haven't played Live since It was on the PS1 but I am thinking about getting it since 2K screwed up the controls this year and basically added nothing new to this years version.  I still like playing 2K especially when everyone picks the Heat in quickmatch and then they lose to me as the Spurs.  Leonard is a beast in this years game and with Green's lockdown defender ability he slows down James enough that the other player actually has to pass the ball.

My team may have blown the finals last year but at least I can get some retribution online against those bandwagon Heat fans.

@gymbear @MarkCubanisaDouche Griffin would probably turn it into a marketing campaign for bubble wrap. He has shown nothing that would make me believe he wouldn't fold and I think the players in the league know it too.

I don't like Malone because he played with the Jazz and they had our number for years but I always respected his game.  I like the physical play and the eye for an eye mentality.  I really enjoyed watching the Bulls Heat series last year.  Old school basketball.  When I grew up playing ball it was no blood no foul.  Now when I go to play you got guys calling charges in pick up games.  I call it country club ball.

I understand what Malone is trying to do but some guys don't have the fortitude to do it today.  Since the Malice in the Palace (which was way too far) and the precedent Stern set I think a lot of players are afraid of it going that far and they know they can get retribution with a flop because the refs will call it.  We live in much different times today and the league doesn't want to loose it's advertisers with so much money at stake. It has become more about money than anything else.  I guarantee that KIA would immediately step away from Griffin if he was involved in a fight on the court because that style of play eventually only ends up with one outcome if he gets into it with the right guy (Kendrick Perkins, Zach Randolph).

Malone does need to understand that everyone is not him.  He liked playing with the contact and the physical side of the game but that is who he was and what made him great.  You are either a tough guy or your not.  You can't make millionaires into tough guys but tough guys can be millionaires.

No reason to get mad this is just another dumb Vlade opinion.  When Parker's career is over he will be on everyone's list and Vlade will be on no one's.  Drazen Petrovich was a great shooter for a very brief period of time before his death but I always thought of him as the Kurt Kobain of basketball.  They where glorified after their deaths but when you put them up against the greats there is no comparison.  Also they played on the same team so his opinion is skewed.

Leonard's free throw shooting is starting to concern me a little bit.  It started last year in the playoffs and I hope it hasn't carried over.  His form looks good so it must be mental.  His ball handling has come a long way from his rookie year.  That behind the back dribble move has become sick.

Splitter has got to stop turning the ball over.  He has the worst hands of anyone on the team and his passes are telegraphed. I don't think I have ever seen Splitter win a loose ball battle.

I really like Joseph but he does need to learn how to run the offense better.  He goes at top speed all the time like Parker did when he first came into the league.  I would like to see him change speeds more often and control the pace but it is preseason offense.

I was hoping for more out of Maggette last night but his shots just didn't fall.  I believe we should have a scorer behind Leonard rather than another 3 and d player.  Our offense really comes to a screeching halt when our guards can't get penetration.  It would be nice to have a wing that can drive to the basket and draw some contact.

It is too bad we live in reality and no one will give us a 1st round pick or an athletic big for Nando and Bonner in a package deal.  I really don't want to see either anymore. There are two things I can't figure out. What is the meaning of life and why we still have Bonner.

Mills is no point guard but the boy can flat out shoot.  With Neal leaving I would like to see him stay and take on Neal's old role.  But if the right deal came along it shouldn't be passed up.

Is it the regular season yet?

"It is all about winning and losing."  I plan on voting everyone out on both sides that had anything to do with this shutdown because there are no American citizens that are winners in this shutdown. The two party system is destroying this country.

"The alternate domination of one faction over another, sharpened by the spirit of revenge, natural to party dissension, which in different ages and countries has perpetrated the most horrid enormities, is itself a frightful despotism. But this leads at length to a more formal and permanent despotism. The disorders and miseries, which result, gradually incline the minds of men to seek security and repose in the absolute power of an individual; and sooner or later the chief of some prevailing faction, more able or more fortunate than his competitors, turns this disposition to the purposes of his own elevation, on the ruins of Public Liberty."

Fact is the Spurs don't get to the finals without Manu but they got there without McGrady.  I don't think McGrady even scored a bucket at anytime he was on the court and don't even get me started with Blair.

Blair never improved his game since he got drafted.  His jump shot, low post moves, and defense didn't improve one bit since he got drafted.  He still committed the same dumb fouls since day one.  Basically he was that very same player since he got drafted.  He had a chip on his shoulder when the other teams passed on him in the draft and he had a chip on his shoulder when he didn't get enough playing time.  Blair seems like the type of guy that it is everyone else's fault but his own.  Grown men take responsibility for their own actions. Look at Leonard mouth shut, eyes and ears open.  Do what the coaches want you to do, work hard and stay away from the burgers.

Diaw needs to start and I want to see 4 down.

Our team offensive motto I thought was good shot to better shot?  What has happened to this?  I am watching our guys take way too long to make a decision with the ball on offense.  The ball needs to swing side to side again.  This needs to happen for multiple reasons.  Tony needs the break from running the multiple pick and rolls and it will also tire out the Warriors D.  It takes less energy to pass the ball then it does to run constant pick and rolls with him.

Bonner starting and playing 19 minutes to Boris's 8 is to much of a disparity.  Diaw should be starting.  We all know Bonner is more limited on offense then Diaw.  Diaw is an excellent passer and could be more utilized like he was last year when he would pass out of the post.  Duncan and Diaw could be setting screens for each other down low and if the pass comes at the right time getting either good position inside it should draw in the Warriors D opening shots on the perimeter and or for Duncan or Diaw.  Pop is falling in love with Bonner again and I hate it.  Our offense last year ran so much better with Diaw getting the majority of the minutes.

Parker needs to get pulled when Manu comes in around the 6 minute mark.  Joseph plays hard on d and will make Curry work.  Duncan has been great all year lets ride him through this series.  Let Duncan run the 4 down play from 6 minutes till the end of the first quarter.  Manu is not the Manu of championship years he has obviously lost his quickness to get by his defender.  I am not saying he still can't do it from time to time but he needs to pick his spots and I believe the offense would run better through Duncan.  I still believe Duncan to be a dominant force down low.  I don't like seeing Duncan at the top of the key when Parker is not in the game because the Warriors can just stay out on our 3 point shooters because there is no inside threat.

Bring Splitter in at the start of the 2nd  and run more pick and rolls with Manu but still move the ball.  Manu and Splitter have always played well together running the pick and roll and then bring Tony back in around the 10 minute mark so he is fresh.  Splitter is not going to be as effective in this series as he was in the Laker series so his minutes must be limited.

This series is far from over Curry and Thompson are going to get theirs but the Spurs can win this with some minor adjustments on offense and defense.  Stop putting Leonard and Green on Curry.  Just let him get his.  We need their height to contest Thompsons.  He shot great the other night but I believe he is the lesser of the 2 and he does not have the speed to get around Leonard on a regular basis.

We are not going to win the series with Parker and Manu playing heavy minutes they are just are not conditioned for that since Pop has rested his players over the course of the year.  Keep the faith fellow Spur fans Pop will figure it out and so will our players.    Go Spurs!
