And we still can't score...As we all know, the overriding problem over the last 5 years has been our lack of scoring and the unreasonable dependency we have on Lundqvist to win games...I saw pretty much no change in that regard right up to the end of the SCF.

While yes, it's a new season and by now players like St. Louis will be better adjusted and everyone more overall settled, I'm still not going to start saying things like, "this is it, this is our time , etc." This season can still go any direction.

I 100% agree. Something that I remember being key with torts taking over for renney was that he was able to strip away a lot of that New York State of mind (nice way of saying overconfidence) from the players. Like that hilarious quote about changing the team travel methods to NJ and LI games, something like, “It’s not going to be 10 freakin’ limos flying in from all over the place and coming in for the morning skate."While this is a much different team than a few years earlier, and obviously this isn't a direct correlation necessarily to their level of work on the ice, you still have to wonder if there needs to be that strict driving force leading this team in order to help prevent them from becoming a group of "cosmopolitan" athletes.

@JMK8363  @craig_atherton  @TheWrage You guys don't even know the half of it, I'm in Florida and don't have cable so I have to use NHL Gamecenter, but 60% (actual number) of the Ranger games are blacked out for this shortened season.  Anytime it's broadcasted on NBC/NBCSN it is blacked out (which isn't bad because that's fairly rare) but also anytime it is broadcasted on NHL Network (which is literally about one out of every three games) it is also blacked out.  So all those put together makes for over 50% of the games blacked out.  #stillfullprice
