@Satchbog @JoeyKocur Yeah, he's so bad that he's dragging the whole team down ... look at how lousy our record is. Seriously, this is a TEAM sport, and we need to recognize that every player has ups and downs, but, AS A TEAM, this is about as good a group as I've ever seen.

@Craptin McDonqvist Because by "everyone", you're probably referring to Ranger fans, and they don't follow other teams. If you check the league wide statistics, we're about in the middle of the pack for penalties for and against.

75 gp, 47 w, 21 L, 7 OTL, 101 pts, still with games in hand against teams ahead of them. I'd say that they've proven it's pretty hard to take away their speed on a consistent basis

If you've ever had a vascular injury, you would understand why they let him play. In general, there are no unique symptoms  of such an injury, other than perhaps a little soreness or tiredness, until the affected blood vessel ruptures or a clot forms. In other words, the only things the doctors had to go on were Henrik's comments at the time, which didn't indicate any particular problem. When he still didn't feel up to par a couple of days later, they probably did some tests (CT scan or sonogram, perhaps) and found the injury. I wouldn't blame the Rangers' medical staff, any more than I blame my doctor for not knowing my aorta was about to rupture. All I do is thank the fates that the EMT's reached me in time, and there was a skilled vascular surgeon available when they got me to the hospital. These types of injury do not present themselves in any obvious manner.

The  highest the Canadian dollar has been compared to the U.S. dollar in the past four years is about $0.98 Canadian = $1.00 U.S. Currently, the actual exchange rate is $1.09 Canadian per $1.00 U.S. Sounds like someone ripped you off really bad.

Funny, we've beaten the 'Hawks twice, and they were "sturdy enough for the playoff run". They're the top scoring team in the league, and we shut them down, so maybe Girardi's not "a shell of his former self". in other words, maybe you should rethink this.

I started taking my daughter to Ranger games when she was about 6. By the time she was eight, she was roaming the promenade alone (or so she thought. I was always about 10 feet behind her). She loved it all, the game, the excitement, the crowd reactions, and has remained a hockey fan to this day, 30 years later.

@mando24179 It's called NEGOTIATION. The Rangers throw out a low ball offer, Cally's agent throws back a high one, back and forth, and hopefully they compromise on a reasonable deal.

The response to the media is interesting, to say the least. Similar to Torts? Hmmm … the common denominator is the media and their questions. Maybe too many dumb and repetitious questions will get to any coach?

@lennynyr Brassard isn't the second coming of Gretzky. He looked pretty good over a short period of time with New York, but he still has to prove he can sustain it, and he still has to show that he's not the prima donna he used to be.

@rangersfan92 If they're going to trade Henrik, they have to do it soon. They can't let his contract run out, and they'll probably get more from him if they trade him early so the new team gets him for a full year. That being said, I want to see him finish his career in New York. Trading him is essentially giving up on the season.

1 year, 10 months ago on Is Messier a Serious Candidate to Coach This Team?

Raissman is always trying to make something out of nothing (I read the Daily News). The only time he's happy is if the coach says everything is his fault and that the interviewer has been asking only impartial and intelligent questions. Doesn't matter which sport, which coach, which interviewer, or what the question was.
