While I don't mind our logo as others obviously do, I wouldn't mind the change to the "O"....that being said whether our logo sucks or not is besides the point of the disrespect Roots is showing Ottawa fans. It's not up to them to decide whether our logo is "trendy" or not, if they are in Ottawa, they should cater to the city. Hockey merchandise was never about fashion and while it's nice to have a simpler logo it shouldn't change the meaning of the team to the fans.

As I previously said, I go to London Ont all the time and have a difficult time finding a single Sens item, Toronto is very Leafs hardcore as well. Same goes for Montreal etc and that applies to merchandise sold in stores like Roots so why is Ottawa expected to cater to a rival fanbase just because some corporate marketer doesn't think our logo is to his "taste". If they want to sell Leafs crap then fine but make sure you respect the city you're in and sell the same amount of merchandise for Sens. It's pretty pathetic when I go to a place like the Source in OTTAWA and the only hockey phone covers they have are Leafs and Habs, it's time this city showed a bit more respect for it's hockey team.

You know it's going to happen again with our eventual CFL team where instead of promoting the new, they'll just keep promoting the current because you know that's what people are "used to".

What a terrible year (luck wise) for Ceci, was excited to at least see how he does in camp

@Wham_City Stone, maybe that's a role he wants to try to fit into, but I always saw him as a shooter at his very best aka Team Canada and his WHL days but like you said it IS too early.

Not to take anything away from Schenn's age but he's had a bit more experience than most. This list really does bring into light that our top prospects aren't in "bad shape" per se, would be nice if Richardson does truly help them develop good D sense..the goals will come for them eventually

a) Is Schenn STILL considered a prospect? Yeesh

b) I'm also concerned about Stone, I know he needs more time but expected a bit more of him

As someone who is currently looking for a job, really appreciate this list ;)

Oh Melnyk, at least he's on OUR side... sorta, kinda, maybe. I hope he gets fined just so that he appears all badass and rebel esque and then Cox can have an entire article about how the owners aren't unified

@Nichols6thSens I see big things from Silfver but that's too much pressure on him and Stone.... needless to say, best part of being in a "rebuild" is not having to worry too much about immediate results.

Wait, Stephane Da Costa is still relevant? ;)

Our problem whether Alfie retires or not is wingers not centers. Truth is we cannot keep moving Alfie between two lines and Michalek isn't enough. As much as I like Greening and sorta like Butler, these two aren't top 2 material or at least not first line material especially Butler. Spezza and Turris need more help to continue success especially young Turris

It doesn't matter who we play if Maclean pulls same joke he did last night, that being said I'd put Butler back in and get the nervous newbies some more time to process all in

well first off on the topic of Silverberg, he just gave his team a 1-0 lead over Frolunda in Game 3 ;) I dont think it surprises anyone that Alfredsson got the nomination, nobody on the team deserves it more. My question though is are there different writers for each award or same writers vote for all the awards? and woo look I can comment from work, it's an Alfie miracle!

First off congrats to both you and SSS on invites, I can say that without a doubt you are the two blogs I rely heavily on from the blogging world side.

The debate for MSM and bloggers will always be there but for me as I mentioned in my convo with Ian Mendes on twitter is that I don't necessarily rely on one and shut out the other, it's about a different point of view and he's right bloggers offer a more fan-based view. That being said, if allowing bloggers access means putting constraints on them then the entire purpose of blogging just went down the drain. It's exciting to read that our favourite bloggers may now have better access to information so long as the style and the points of view remain unchanged and if the Sens or any other organization truly want to reach out to bloggers/fans then they have to be very careful with the constraints they put, if any. As for choosing bloggers, I think for Sens bloggers at least some MSM aka Gordon/Mendes have done a great job interacting with some of the most prominent bloggers and it may not be so hard to weed out the most reliable/credible blogging sources.

Again congrats and good luck. Hoping to see this work out, should be fun to have a mix between MSM and bloggers in one place. Make sure Mendes doesn't point and laugh out too much :p

Gotta say I'm surprised it was even a question whether he'd comeback, kinda separated himself from the hockey world since his latest injury

As many have mentioned, the complaints aren't about the calls against us well except the BS penalty shot on Chris Phillips which I will never forget or let go but moving on we are an undisciplined team and more so when we are losing, BUT that the good thing about this team is they keep moving and "trying" and they do manage to draw key penalties. Yes, fans have been complaining all season but seriously with Tim Peel and Dan O'Rourke it has gotten a tad too much. I don't think it's a conspiracy, i think refs just plain suck all over the league and every team has his "demon" referee and that's the issue. It's amazing how insulted Fraser seemed when people call his own biased or cheaters yet he's okay saying that fans are out of touch with reality when it is evident that officiating issues have taken a world of their own. Great read, conspiracy theories are dumb the NHL really has no gain in making us lose but I do believe those two refs were embarrassed by the Sens one way or the other and will not be treating Sens with much love or leniency. Also Fraser is an idiot....

My problem with Regin was that at the beg of the season he was given a better chance to succeed but he didnt unlike Foligno who imo took a better advantage of his promotion. That being said, him sitting in the press box does nothing to help his slump

Let's put it this way when it comes to GMs....Id rather have McGuire than Tim Murray thank you very much (I really hope I dont regret these words soon)

I have nothing against Locke but am I allowed to laugh away when Sens fan freak out if he doesnt get a point tommorow? It bothers me that Spezza is hard to sell while Fisher is unavailable? Maybe Im seeing it wrong but doesnt that mean that Murray is trying to trade Spezz before Fisher?

Side note: what do you think of Craig MacTavish?

The thing bothering me now is that the whole "bring up Locke" argument has taken over Sens nation. To be honest, I could care less maybe Im being too harsh here but I doubt any of these two will help us now and neither of them will be part of our future unless we continue our path of mediocricity.

I'd like too see something happen with the Sens, anything! Loss after loss, and the only thing changing is players getting injured. I know the season is already lost but hell even the Leafs are waking up and playing some hockey. Oh well guess it's Spezza's fault......
