Fucking awesome. Bet he's the strongest guy on the ice 90% of time - just wait until he can harness his strength.

@bmurphy6832 @Josh-CK I was at a Las Vegas Wrangers game two or three years ago and it wasn't sold out by far. That place might seat 5,000. Maybe. Vegas is the wrong move.

If the NYC metro area can host three teams (NJ, NYR, NYI) Toronto definitely can host one more.

Quebec government is fucked up but the people are passionate. The new arena would seat as many fans as MSG.

Seattle: "All-Star second baseman Robinson Cano and the Seattle Mariners finalized their $240 million, 10-year contract that was agreed upon late last week. The deal, which is tied for the fourth largest contract in major league history..." -ESPN

@JoeyKocur I wish NHL network and pundits recognized the Rangers' post season effort. SCF, best team in the East pretty much. I hope more bloggers, NHL writers, etc. give the Rangers props moving into 2014-'15.

Enough of the the word "overachieved" - mgmt and players are working hard.

@KevinTheNYRBlog @BringBackBeukeboom I enjoy these little news tidbits. This is what the offseason is all about. Miscellany news leading up to camp, pre-season, then season, etc...I'm just grateful the blog is updated over the summer. Thanks Kevin!

@Say my Name Well said, 100% agree. Nash is big, B. Boyle was big - neither really played to their size. It's all about heart and stones.

@leftwingbarbara Kingsbridge Ice Facility in the Bronx is still a few years away. The money is there though. It's going to be about nine rinks - supposedly the largest ice/rink facility in the world. Minor murmurs about locating or relocating a minor league team is a real thing, though nothing concrete

@pkh33 Which kinda makes you think he might not have that much of a personality. So he wears $2,500 suits and is Mr. GQ. His apartment is dope but pretty sterile. His Instagram is all pictures of himself, not what he's up to. Throwing glitter and lightning on your helmet doesn't really show who you are.  However, his ESPN commercials are funny, so he has that going...

Whatever though, to each their own. Both are cool.

Of the handful of face offs MZA has take he's always pulled off some crafty, left field shit. He should take a few more draws next season.

@IcyCup I went through most of his tweets and this guy has personality. I like it. So many NHLers are great character guys, wholesome, etc. but they're so dry it's painful. This guy isn't afraid to show who he is, while so many NHLers are simply homers.

@KevinTheNYRBlog @allagash Hockey players know ice surfaces differ from rink to rink (always bored with post game questions from the media; we never hear about, "so how was the ice tonight?"). A player could catch a tiny rut and knock him off his stride or the puck could simply hop over a stick-blade or deviate from the projected destination for many reasons, ultimately altering any kind of stat. I'm not sure how these stats accommodate the many variables and the spontaneity and freestyle that is ice hockey.

@G  "Dubinsky, 28, had 16 goals and a career-high 34 assists for the Blue Jackets last season, and his 50 points were third on the team in scoring. He led the club in faceoff winning percentage (52.9 percent), penalty minutes (98) and was second in hits.

But it was his defensive play and on-ice leadership in a first-round Stanley Cup playoff series against Pittsburgh -- he mostly dominated Penguins star Sidney Crosby -- that raised Dubinsky's status within the organization."
