Who cares what a bunch of douchebags say. And what u couldn't find the same things written here & in social media about Prust, Crosby & the Devs-Isles?

This post & acknowledging these idiots gives them attention they don't deserve.

Cause u know this Blog is sooooo mature right? Like U guys haven't done a 180-on Richards, Nash, AV , St.Louis & everyone else!!!!!

Yeah ur missing something.....CONTEXT!!!! However I & the merry band of lemmings in the fan world don't understand that. I got news for U he could care less about his critics or that he is now supposedly redeemed. Right now Dolan & Sather laugh at how stupid fans are. They know what u don't. Really all sports executives do.

Context Such as his comment while in Edm. was about how he could have kept all his top players instead of having to se them off.

Context in the fact that all those big contracts were Cablevisions insistence on the appearance of a competitive team. So they could charge big ticket prices & get ratings. Cablevision is a "Public" Company therefore short term profits take precedence over long term building. They never let him truly tear it down & get top 5 picks like Pittsburgh, LA & Chicago. He had to build this whole trying to win. Not to mention this fan bases insistence on demanding a winner now!!!! He did what was asked & CB delivered the profits to their shareholders that's why Dolan loves him

Context in that when he took over he said there was not 1-prospect in the system who will be a core player. Everyone said he was nuts cause they had 3-top 10 picks in the last 2-years Malhotra, Brendl, & Lundmark who were all busts so he was right.

Context in that though he had missteps he has gotten it mostly right in the past 10-years & the team on an upswing since then.

Context in that his critics never have an answer when asked who would u hire to replace him? What could he have done differently never give an answer.

However context doesn't fit in the fan world. It's all emotion all the time.

@FREE LINDBERG That would be awesome....The final of the 96 World Cup in which the Americans beat the Canadiens was one of the best games I have ever seen. The intensity in the last 10-minutes was like a Game-7 in the Cup Finals. Richter was unbelievable & should make the Hall of Fame on that game alone. A tournament of that nature will be great.

Also as much as you have hyped Lindberg you must be pumped about Lindberg's play in the Traverse City Tournament? I know I am...What I liked the best was seeing him getting his nose dirty by being around the net. He went into the hard areas & scored some goals. You usually don't see Swedes go into those areas. Between Traverse & some Youtube highlights he seems more like a young Tomas Holmstrom or this guy is before your time but Ulf Dahlen who played for the Rangers in the 80's & was traded Mike Gartner. Ahysical guy who uses his strength & hangs around the net.

Portzlines story is a typical small town paper trying to pump up the fan base crap. Its allso about low expectations, they COMPETED for a playyoff spot so they had a poistive year...big deal. The bottom line is as Kevin stated "it's not like Dubinsky and Anisimov aren't replaceable".

Exactly they are very replaceable. Especially Dubinsky making 4-m a year & scoring what 3-Goals last year? Please here is the other bottom line...despite having a Vezina winning trophy they missed the playoffs.

As for Nash's supposed bad attitude. It is hard for any athlete to perform at his best & keep a poistive attitude after 10-years with a franchise that is as inept at CBJ was. How can u continue to be poitive when you miss the playoffs year after year. I don't care who you are thats an impossible task. Meanwhile I know everyone thinks CBJ is on the rise & all that, who knows maybe they are but if by some miracle they become a Cup winner its not because Dubinsky & Anisimov are driving the bus, they will be support players. Instead it will be because out of all their high picks they had developed several players like Nash or Toews or Chara or superstars.Though I doubt it will ever happen.

I always love the Devs fans who have a persecution complex. For all their success they just can't get past still being #-2 in this area. Instead of basking in their glory they instead focus on what they done't have, which is the number 1-team in the market.

Now Jason Mr. Devils fan since u brought Cups into it, lets have that discussion. Rangers-4 Devils-3. Now I know ur response that was 50 yrs ago blah blah blah. However it's still a fact. It's not our fault u guys were inept for most of your history. The fact are the facts Rangers 4-Cups Devils-3. Here is another fact 25-years from now if the Devs r still here & have not moved when u r arguing about who is better w-say a Jets fan are u going to say we won 3-Cups or are u going to say well we haven't won a Cup in 35 years so they don't count. Don't bother answering cause its rhetorical we both know the answer.

One more fact for ya. The Devs haven't won in 10-years & won't win again for a long long time. The unwritten story is Lamoriello bought those Cups. He also conspired w-the league to get Scott Stevens in that ridiculous arbitration case. The league conspired w-it's favorite son Lamoriello to punish the Blues & if u don't think so then U don't know how corrupt Eagelson was as Union director back then but I digress. He used very few homegrown players. He went out & bought players from other teams just like the Rangers did. Stevens Richer Lemieux Broten Chambers Arnott Malakhov & many more. The difference between the Rangers & Devs is this.....we didn't bankrupt our organization to do it. In the Cap era u have not won a Cup & won't. Lou even tried to cheat a Cap he whined the league needed to win a Cup but in the end that backfired on him.....cause Karma got him.

Now the last think I will say is its over for you guys. Zero Cups in the Cap era & financial disarray. Lou sold his soul to the financial Devil to get those Cups & now it's over & u will be lucky to keep the team in NJ!!!!!

If it doesn't happen soon it will definetly happen in the next year. There are already rumblings.  He has financially run that organization into the ground. Because of that Vanderbeeks partners  want him out. The only reason he has survived is Vanderbeek is too much of a pussy to fire him & face the fan backlash. Lou runs that organization as if its his own. He spends money they don't have. He has family members in jobs they are not qualified for & used to employ his girlfriend. He quietly got rid of her to appease Vanderbeek but I am telling you he is not long for the Devils organization its coming.....YOU WATCH

@shoot_the_goalie Its different now. The untold story of the Devs is how the supposed small market Devils have spent there way to winning. Pre-Cap they always had one of the highest payrolls. Think how many stars they traded for. The "Lou is frugal" is a myth. He got that rep cause he has traded away some guys. He ttraded not cause of money but cause they violated the one rule u can't violate w-Lou...Publicly criticize HIM!!!! Think about it....They have not won a Cup in the Cap era. Their last was in 2003. Yes they made a run to the Finals in 2011 but they lost & , they circumvented the Cap to sign Kovi & to build that team.

The unwritten story is how Lou in trying to win has bankrupted the franchise TWICE!!!!! He has gotten away with it by 1-buying off certain media members (Brooks) & cause he has won 3-Cups. When u win in this city & kiss the media ass (ie; Brian Cashman) u get away w-anything.

Mark it down I said it here. its over for the Devils & I predict within the next 2-years Lamoriello will be out as team President...YOU WATCH

Kevin, There is nothing shady about this. Lou wanted him back & tried to talk him into coming back. in fact Kovalchuk wanted to retire last year & Lou talked him out of it.

I have told u guys this many times. My friend on the Devs told me & I posted it here that the Russian players see a  run to the Finals as a burden. They want to get home as soon as possible. He was speaking of Kovalchuk in particular when he said that. Kovalchuk is real unpopular in that room cause of it. They don't think he is as commitede to winning as they are. I told u guys this before. Now that he is staying in Russia do u guys believe me now?

I think the Devils run as a top team is over. They will not make the playoffs this year & u will see a downward spiral. They have lost their 2-top players in Parise & Kovalchuk in the past 2-years. Due to a series of bad drafts they have very little coming thru the farms over the next few years in terms of big time players. They have financial problems. They will struggle for at least a few years. Even their house organ Larry Brooks said BEFORE Kovalchuk retired they were looking like a bottom 5 team next year. Oh & they don't have that 1st round pick cause they lost it in the Kovi signing & stupidly kept their 29th last year & then traded their 9th pick for Schneider.

When u think of what they agve up for Kovi & what they lost cause of the penalties this is bad for them.

I have mentioned before I have a friend who plays for the Devs & from what he has told me in the past its not so stunning. I mentioned this in posts in the past as well. Russian players don't like long playoff runs cause it makes their summers at home shorter. Kovalchuk acted like it was a "burden" on him when the made the run to the Finals cause he wanted to get home. He really irritated alot of his teamates during the Finals cause they saw his lack of production as lack of caring. My friend who never ever criticizes teamates or OPPONENTS (Torts) being the exception to that rule was critical of him.  Note Lamoriello's coment that he has had discussions with him for the past year. He wanted to retire last year but Lamoriello laid a guilt trip on him & he came back. Basically every year its a struggle for Kovalchuk to come back from Russia. He really hates leaving. I wouldn't be surprised if he comes back in a few months or a year after he misses the game.

Hapy Bday...Kevin!!!! 40? 37? who  cares ur still a baby to my 45...lol

As for all of us speculating & expecting a trade keep this in mind. AV has been quoted that & I may have my numbers wrong but something along the lines of 77% of all PP goals are scored w-2 Right handed shots on the ice. We have exactly 2-Right handed Shots in our core right now Cally & Step. Neither has a big shot or is adept at one-timers. 77% is a pretty compelling number. I had no idea what the percentage was but having watched Hockey for almost 40-years I am certain of 1-thing....One of the best PP designs is having a Right Handed shot to the Goalies right. Its sets up for one time shots, cross ice passes, playmaking. Even more so then a Lefty on the Left side. Plus having a Right handed shot on the point allows for crisper movement. 77% of the time is is hard to ignore...So I am sure a trade is coming.

This is for all the worriers out there. If someone wanted to take advantage of the Rangers Cap situation by offer sheeting Stepan it would take say a 5 yr 40-m dollar contract. If that is offered here is the compensation owed....Two firsts, a second, and a third. In other words ITS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN!!!!

Now seeing some of the absurd contracts being handed out like Giroux 8-yr 63-m the Rangers might match & be happy Step is locked up for5-yrs. However I might not match that if I'm the Rangers. This is coming from a guy who has always though the would be a #-1 center a point per game player. That would be a hard deal to turn down.

Though we will never find out. No one is going to make that offer, pay the comp, & feel the wrath of Bettman. So look forStep to sign a contact for 3-3.5-m a year. He has no leverage & those r the guys GM's play hard ball with!!!!

Sorry hit send.....players would get endless ice time. Campbell was a goon player who loved hard working type guys. Guys w-talent like Kovalev & Nemchinov were buried under him. He was responsible for trading Zubov to get a nastier player like Ulfie. He stunted Kovalevs talent by constantly beating him up for every little mistake. He was ready to be a breakout star after 94 but Campbell ruined him. Player after player Kovy, Nemchinov, Nedved, Zubov,Mattias Nordstrom Robiitaille struggled under him then went elsewhere & were great. Look at the 97 team almost no Europeans on it. Even that team was soo good it almost overcame his inept coaching to win a Cup. Injuries just doomed them. Smith gave in to all his stupid suggestions & got rid of all the Europeans & he kept trading talent for grit & it set the organization back 10-years. Smith didn't fire him cause he would kiss Smiths ass!!!! Keenan was a nut & treated Smith like shit but he knew the team needed grit to win in 94 & made Smith go get it. Smith also ran Messier out cause Mess had too much power...It's a shame we left a Cup on the table between 95-97 all cause Smith was an insecure douchebag

After Keenan he wanted a coach who was loyal. Those 95-97 teams were stacked but Campbell was clueless. Plus he hated European players. He could use that big body to wear down d-men if he drove to the front of the net but doesn't. He plays to much on the perimeter. Like I said U R right about his skating but hockey is also a game of angles & if he had more willingness to do so he could get there for the hit by playing the angles.... @jmacwilli @ThrSage We have him he was signed last year as an undrafted College player. Just like Hags was. He spent the year in Hartford & started great but ran out of gas playing his 1st full year. He will never be a star in the NHL but hecan be a Matteau/Noonan type player. Big, Physical, Grity w-some offensive potential. Probably about 15-20 goals a year while using his size to wear down opponents & being good on faceoffs.

One thing I think is UNANIMOUS on this blog is the Rangers need some size on their 3rd & 4th lines. One guy who we all overlook is Kyle Jean. He doesn't have the talent to be a top-6 guy but maybe he can develop into a 3rd or 4th line pysical presence who can score some goals. He is 6'4 220...Here is a little bit of a scouting report on him...

The Rangers may really have something with Kyle Jean. Not that he’s destined to be a top-line skater in the NHL. But to sign him at 22, he’s a nice find for the organization and I can definitely see him getting a shot with the big club in the next couple of seasons.”, “He’s big, strong, can take and give checks and skates with purpose. with good instincts in the offensive zone He also seems to make the transition to playing defense fairly smoothly and doesn’t get beat up the ice often.” He was also a top faceoff man during his time at Lake Superior State.

Alot of you like Josh are too young to remember this but the 94 team was built alot on youth. I have been a Ranger fan since 1977 & the only time we had a bunch of highly touted prospects who became big time players was the early 90's. Before that they were all "over hyped". However starting in 1988 we started hearing about Brian leetch, Darren Turcotte, Steven Rice, Louie Debrusk, Troy Mallete & Mike Richter. Then Tony Amonte, Sergei Nemchinov, & Doug Weight. Then Kovalev & Karpotsev even a guy like Zubov came out of nowhere & was the laading scorer on the 94-team!!!! We even used a small Todd Marchant would never have found a spot on our roster to get Mactavish in 94...the rest was history. Those guys were either the nucleus of the 94-team Leetch, Richter, Zubov, Kovy, Nemchimov or were traded for those who were...Rice/Debrusk for Messier, Mallete for Graves Weight for Tikannen, Amonte for Matteu/Noonan Turcotte in a deal for Larmer.

Right now w-all the prospects who have made the team or are coming this is the 1st time other then when we have had a big pool of top end prospects who will become big time players!!!!...Am i right Gravy? Help me out here...LOL

@FREE LINDBERG @ThrSage I agree & the best part is I never considered Thomas a part of our future. I always thought he would be a classic tweener  Not good enough to be a top-6 & not big enough to be 3rd or 4th liner. I think we stole Kristo as well & he will be a 30-gooal 70-point guy.

BTW I feel the same way about St. Croix...I think he will be a 70-80- point guy in the NHL

Also Nieves has looked so good he may come to the NHL next year instead of playing all 4-years. He reminds me of Doug Weight. When we took weight in the 2nd rd in the early 90's he wasn't a big prospect buut then he had a great Sophmore year & the Rangers brought him up from College & he became a "big time" prospect. Highly valued & touted. So much so we traded him straight up for Tikannen & the rest is history!!!!
