The PensBlog. I come for the occasional hockey news but stay for the random Something Corporate references. I suppose Phantom Planet was probably busy last night.
This a bigger off season signing than Parise as far as I'm concerned.
Yinzers are just jammed up because when you normally follow the Steelers, you're not used to seeing an owner attempt to spend money of free agents. Woo.
Allow fans on Twitter to pick for the Pirates in all future drafts. Results would most likely improve.
Allow fans in stadium to call for steals and bunts via text messages displayed on scoreboard. Results would likely remain the same.
Win a chance to plug you iPod into the house sound system at PNC Park. Select the perfect "at bat" music for Clint Barmes from your "sad funeral and goth songs" playlist.
Great post. Hard to take seriously what someone in the media writes when they can't even spell a name correctly, and even harder when it manages to get by the editors. These are the people that are supposedly paid to care about the Pirates.... or at least their job of covering the Pirates.
@Bradley James McEachern Do people honestly complain about what the frickin' tickets look like???
I don't recall so many people complaining about the white out when they first broke it out a few years ago. Now my Twitter feed is full of people getting bent out of shape over it. I think it's weird too... especially with Winnipeg back in the league (where I recall the white out thing started)... but why has this fan base become so emo? We can't have nice things.
Man... Lemieux vs Hawks and Francis vs. Rangers might be the two most emotional goals I've ever seen. Now I have to pick one?
AHN'JU GONNA LIKE IT!!!
"Don't hit anybody!!! Instead play sound defensive positioning and wait for an opportunity to use physical force!"
Sadly, stuff like this happens at every Steelers game (although not usually with pregnant women). That's why I got rid of my tickets a few seasons ago. It was like walking through a minefield to get to your car after the game. Just drunks and idiots everywhere. Hate to see those same types of jagoffs make their way into the Pens crowd.
Pittsburgh Police are probably callous to this kind of nonsense. They'd rather ignore a fight and send people home than deal with the paperwork for the hundreds of these incidents that go on every year.
Nothing drives me more insane than watching a power play from the camera mounted behind the goalie. All networks need to stop doing that.
Marty Straka getting hurt by a weight machine is still slightly tougher than getting hurt by pancakes.
Well... at least they didn't leave early.
I heard Crosby had Jim Krenn canned too. Said he was sick of that "Ralph The Cat" bit and wanted to hear some new material... this was during his rookie season.
Chipped Ice, indeed.
Just a bizarre post. While the basis of the article is stupid, I can attest that Cliff Stoudt was a terrible quarterback. Just because something happened before 1995, doesn't mean it didn't happen. You sound a little bit like a Capitals blog by conveniently forgetting history. Meanwhile, if he called out Syl Apps you'd probably get in another Twitter fight.
I plan on booing, but just because we're playing the Flyers. The Jagr/Talbot stuff is only a sideshow.
On the other hand, it would be amazing if the crowd could somehow start a "HERRRR-PEEEEEES!" chant anytime Talbot is on the ice.
