I think it will for sure be Jessie that does in Walt. Once he finds out all of the secrets Walt is keeping from him he is going to flip out. The question is, how will he find out?
I could also see a moment where Walt takes out Mike.
Good signing for you guys. Battle won't make a lot happen on his own but if your line can blow open a hole for him he can do some damage. He is faster than you would think for a Rb of his size and he was an excellent special teams player in KC. Solid locker room guy. Just an over all good depth move. Well done.
@adamcbest @Arowhead_Addict That would be an earth-shattering finale. If he totally went off the deep end and killed everyone...wow. People would freak.
It is hard to see the series ending any other way than with Walt getting smoked. He's over the edge now for sure.
I would say Rivers should have a higher Marino rating than Romo. I kind of feel like Romo might get there but looking at the Chargers, I am not sure about Phil. Plus I think he is cursed and not just because I am a Chiefs fan.
So excited for this show to come back but simultaneously depressed that it is the final season. Curious to know what people think. Will Walt make it out alive?
@BReisinger86 If you guys could get this mobilized to go to the stadium you'd never have a blackout. ;)
Pretty fascinating article Victor. I know when this was on The Post Game the readers tore you apart but I dunno...imagine if you were in a pick-up game of baseball on the park with a bunch of strangers. What if you threw at someone's head in that setting? Or charged the mound. I wonder if the cops might get involved then.
Hilarious!
As an Ohioan I disagree. Perez doesn't get it. The Browns aren't blindly supported. Far from it. The difference is simple. The Browns play 8 games in Cleveland a year. Football is the most popular sport in the country. Fans are going to fill up that stadium.
The Browns are the only team in living memory to win a championship for Cleveland. The Indians have had some good years but the organization continues to be frugal, shipping off stars for prospects. Fans get weary of that. The Indians teams of the 90s had unheard of support. You couldn't get a ticket to a Tribe game and they play a billion home games every year. For a city with the population of Cleveland, that is simply remarkable. Fans were driving from all over Ohio to see the Tribe.
It is pretty simple. Win and win consistently and you will get butts in the seats. Have an owner that is willing to spend money to keep stars so the team doesn't have to rebuild every five years and the fans will show up.
It might not be fair but there are too many games and too many seats in baseball to expect fans from all over Ohio to drive up to Cleveland to watch an average ball club get smacked around by the Yankees. It's never going to happen.
Trust me, the Tribe has support. Just because there aren't people in the stands doesn't mean the fans don't care. Supply in demand. There is a small supply of Browns tickets. There is an unending supply of Indians tickets.
If Perez and the Indians want more support then they better stat putting a better product out on the diamond.
Cleveland fans are awesome. But they aren't stupid. The Cavs were 3rd in attendance the year after LBJ left. They were absolutely horrid. Even after that season, they still only slipped to 19th in last year's shortened season.
The Indians, Cavs and Browns don't deserve support from the fans in Ohio. They need to earn it. And I think they're all getting an equal shake.
@LennyNightwolf I think it is just that Belcher is a little bit limited physically. He's obviously a smart player and he has benefited from a few years in a pro-workout system. It just may be that he has some speed, athleticism issues that hold him back in certain situations.
Not every player on your team can be a star. Regardless of who ends up winning the starting job, the Chiefs are better for having two solid players (granted we know less about Siler) at MLB.
1. Yes
2. No way
3. Nope. Practice Squad.
4. Yes because you said touches and not just handoffs. I think they throw to Hillis a lot. I also think Daboll will use Charles more effectively than anyone ever has so he won't need as many touches.
5. I still think they will re-sign Bowe.
6. I think Matt will have a season comparable to 2010. But I think the Chiefs have a shot at a playoff win. Still, I don't think the critics go away.
@KraigkHullaby LOL. Hall of Famer for sure.
@jbchief One thing that should be noted is that McCoy played better under Daboll as a rookie than he did after he left for Miami. It was a different system but it does seem like Daboll has certain successes that can't be ignored. McCoy decent as a rookie on a terrible team, Jerome Harrison, Hillis, Reggie Bush, Matt Moore.
I remember writing a blog post years ago, before Gilberry's breakout season in 2009. I made a joke about the Chiefs being so terrible at rushing the passer and I said that in 2009, we wanted all of our sacks from Wallace "Don't Call Me Dingle" Gilberry.
Then he finished second on the team in sacks. I like to think he read that post and that it motivated him.
This reminds me of my Zombie Cassel article from last year. He just won't die. You think he's a bum, he rattles off four straight wins. You start to believe and he loses to the Dolphins and Tebow.
@LyleGraversen Thanks! It's easy when there is such great material at hand.
@RockyKCChiefsPennington ha thanks. Now if I could only imagine the Chiefs winning the Super Bowl.
@laddiemorse I'd like to see her write a biography on Eddie Drummond's time in KC.
