Me too. I'm going to run a Ritchey Speedmax Cross Comp 40 in the back and a Kenda Small Block 35 in the front. Nobody has tire calipers for the Cat 4 races!
1 year, 11 months ago on Cyclocross for Newbs: Lessons Learned Looking Back on My First Season
Also my first season doing CX. Here's what I learned: Trying not to get pinch flats is a major part of cyclocross racing. Deep grass is hell. Don't burn your legs out on the flat parts. Don't spend too much time on mounting and dismounting, it only happens a couple of time each lap. Grab the tops and lean way back to fly over the sand. Do not drink coffee for two hours on the way up to the race. A 46 single chainring is too tall. Always set up your chair near the barriers. I made a video with more instructional tips for new cat c riders: http://vimeo.com/56579492
