I've experimented with KRED + KLOUT and while both aggregate tangible social signals and shares and social activity en masse • I am not so sure the big SE's have integrated these into their core algo yet?
I would have thought Atlas Media Crew http://atlasmedia.tv/blog would be more active on G+
These are 4 good questions "to start with" but hardly adequate to design, develop and deploy a social content marketing strategy that will deliver the type and quality of social engagements most SMBs seek to maintain the effort
back in the day when I was trying to get on page 1 of Google for the longtail KW phrase "How to get ranked on page 1 of Google" I said the same thing many times... Getting there is one thing. Staying there is another. that was then + this is now • so we're still ok organic and video versions

One of the better social media marketing tip sheets I've come across. Fast Forward to Slide #8 • Interact Regularly with actionable ToDo Items is good advice!
@TheSocialSketch My tests show that SocialBro does a pretty good job for analyzing your Twitter accounts and configuring the "best time to tweet" schedule which is only part 1 of the process. What you want to do is sync your Twitter accounts to the Buffer App http://bit.ly/t0Xvox then enable Bro to configure your scheduled Tweets, else going about the manual routine is your option.
Over posting has to be one of the more "over used" tactics in SMM. This is why I let SocialBro scan my Twitter accounts and optimize it for "best time to Tweet" the content I curate from various blogs, forums, news feeds etc.
Has the makings of video nirvana for the how to video tutorial crowd • sounds like winner!
@douglaserice this is the link generated by Listly share widget Sharing list of 'Social SEO | Social Signals' by @FerreeMoney http://api.list.ly/list/1rc-social-seo-social-signals via @listly ♦ besides being an awesome social app ♦ the CEO Shyam Subramanyan took care of a technical snag I had which I find quite appealing. My challenge is figuring out an EZ to deploy DIY CM Automation Model for SMB's to execute.
Pretty strong set of Social Automation tools Doug. I found this post via my Twilert on the topic. Having a list of SMM automation tools is one thing. Knowing how to execute a SMM automation plan and do it in a timely fashion is the challenge most SMB's I work with have to tackle. I would share with you my List,ly page on this, but will hold off until I've figured out how to make it a lot more SMB friendly from a time and ROI perspective. Nice post!
Lists curated and hosted on List.ly can be useful and help one build a positive reputation. It would be helpful to know what the "total points" metric means on a specific list?
Its becoming common knowledge that Social Shares is becoming the New SEO. The trick is to curate quality content and syndicate that content on the social networks where your prospect, customers and clients convene the most and sharing your articles, videos, infographics et al in a way that entices engagement and motivates the person to take the desired action as a matter of course.
Lately, I've been using Listly to inventory some of the Top Responsive WordPress Sites that I plan to showcase in a RWD How To Video.
Brendam • glad I happened upon this article. Been tossing with XMind vs. MindMeister and since I've had you in my G+ Circle for awhile now, I know you know what you're talking about. On the hunt for a "by the numbers" mindmeister map that incorporates the top tier SMM platforms w/ detailed tasks per social network so as to help define and automate as much as possible for the time strapped SMB.
@RobertDempsey I caught your post on my G+ stream. I use your drill down routine and cross-match it against my Jetpack top posts to see which SEO articles appeal to my readers. What I've noticed in GA dashboard is the visit duration of "socially engaged" readers and which social network generates the most "social shares" and "social signals". This is a moving target for me still.
Tony, found your site via your post on my G+ stream. Now that GA is disguising a lot of the KW phrases used to find your site, I also reference AWSTATS data to see the top 20 and the "other" terms used. Will have to look into the WP plugin you mentioned and compare that data feed as well. Nice post!
Jared - since you're using livefyre and since I left a previous comment and subscribed to future comments, I got a nice reminder on how awesome this post was. PLUS, I just now noticed the very neat way you're using the "reveal' code as a list building method • I really like this approach and would like to implement it on a few of my sites to test, if you're willing/able to share the routine?
DIY SEO does have its upside. The problem is, most of the SMB clients I work with, don't have the extra time to invest else their revenue generating time suffers. Still, my mantra is to show them how to "eventually" scale their operation so they can DIY SEO. Glad to see the WP plugins you use are also in my current roster. Strong work!
Now that G+ has hit "critical mass" and knowing that social shares are becoming a more important marketing metric, along with a compelling content curation strategy, I suspect you guys will sig increase your user community from 20,000 to 100,000+ in the near term.
nicely done brief on how to build a link wheel in 2011
