Everything in the open world Kite demo is running in real time in Unreal Engine 4 at 30fps. In addition to Unreal Engine 4 open world features, Kite features fully dynamic direct and indirect illumination, cinematic quality depth of field and motion blur, PBR photo modeled assets and procedural asset placement. Check out the kite cinematic that was created in Unreal Engine 4! It features a diverse and beautifully realized 100 square mile landscape. Everything you see was generated in real-time by Unreal Engine 4 at 30fps and includes fully dynamic lighting, cinematic post effects and procedurally placed trees and foliage.

@MeHdeeYaghoubee The one shown here as an image is the one you can download... I'll ask Bertrand for the larger one as the one I had here was lost in transit of servers.

@BillCooper You are very much correct... These are digital and far from the real thing, though what you raise here is an issue of proper title - I'm pretty sure the difference between traditional watercolors and Crilo's method shown here is obvious.

I would love to debate that part where you say "There is nothing that will ever replace the real thing in terms of artistic quality"

You never know ;)

During their presentation, MIR showed photos of their home town and Norway in reference to how a place can inspire you and impact your work. I found this great time-lapse by Rustad Media covering Norway so you can get a feel for it too (other than visiting which is an itch I'll have to scratch one day).

Leandro and Pedro show us in a cool video the process of creating their latest Axis Viana Hotel visual :

"Resume the whole process behind Axis Viana Hotel is not an easy task. We understand that a simple tutorial would not be enough. So we thought doing it in some other way: a breakthrough video from the raw to the final image. Each phase in the workflow is important. More relevant than whether it is 3d or post-production, in the end, everything has to make sense. We are mostly interested in building an approach but, above all, be able to express our idea for the project."
