Sorry about the confusion with the post, then re-post. Gif file I tried to load didn't properly work. And the "NEAL WITH IT" somehow got cut off the bottom of the above image. Oops.

Rage Oh man...I even tried to scale this one back after the show a couple of weeks ago. Epic fail by me, again. Then again, I did have two weeks to make up for in this one.

JenBroflovski Jen, we were in 204 last year, so the Smokehouse was right at the back end of our section. Kielbasa grinder or pulled pork sandwich was a staple. I think we just ate later than normal (late 2nd period) and got a bad batch. The fries, for the record, were terrific, and the price was good. Also, not sure if they raised prices, but a Tim Horton's hot chocolate ($2) and a box of 10 Timbits ($2) was good value last year, too.
OwnedMule Kielbasa Grinder was the go-to choice for me last year. Pulled pork sandwich gave that a serious run, too. Have yet to try Burgatory, but I've heard good things.
Wow...just realized that Carrey .gif didn't animate. Ooops.
biggiestaals11 Erie native myself. In fact, the old ECHL Panthers were responsible for making me a hockey fan as that was the first live hockey I'd ever seen. I was in college when we got the Otters, but tried to get up to catch about 5-6 games a year each season. That championship team was absolutely awesome. Pecker, Boyes and Campoli were each absolutely class acts.

Wow. Typo city. Sorry about this, guys.
That one sentence four paragraphs down from the LOTR clip should read, "I don't want to go down the road and suggest that the Pens aren't trying".
And it's supposed to read, "You can only ask your goaltender to keep fewer than two pucks out of the net every night FOR SO LONG."
This is what happens when I let Buddy Stoosh proofread my posts.

Dozinasaurus 2.0 Overriding factor in the decision to make any deals may be Sid's health. I'm wondering how inclined King Shero is to make a move if it becomes more apparent as the deadline approaches that Sid may not be back.

That Rupp/Scuds photoshop is terrific.
Dapper Dad Man First club I really recall seeing do this actively was New Jersey, at least in th relatively modern era. But this is the best thing about having your own affiliate and a parent club that is on board with the concept of teaching a system the whole way through the organization. And I think it goes deeper than that, too. I have yet to see a game in Wilkes-Barre, but I've been givne the impression that the WBS org. is every bit as professional and player-friendly as the big club, and a lot of this started post-lockout, especially once Shero came on board.
Best thing about PensAreYourDaddy's Youtube clip...
Listening to the crowd as Staal is coming down the wing and that split-second before the puck hits the back of the net, you can practically hear the crowd collectively hold its breath. Then it's Insanity City. Love it.
Wish I could say I knew what this meant for the Pens' cap situation, but I don't have a damn clue. Based off some things that Capgeek posted on Twitter, this sounds like a necessary move to provide short-term cap relief and allowed them to facilitate Tangradi's call-up and that was about it. By the sounds of it, he can come back whenever.
He was placed on LTIR retroactive to Jan. 6, but I think that was just for the purposes of getting that short-term cap relief for this move. I don't think the team can go back and realize those cap savings retro-actively. I could be wrong. Jason Botteril probably knows for sure.

Hatrick Yep, should've mentioned this in the post. The suggestions above were guys who could be used mostly to help Malkin. I'd leave the Kunitz-Crosby-Doops line alone. Those three play off each other well, and Sid's good enough to make the other two better.
Malkin, I think, is more the type that flourishes with a little bit more help on the wing. No crime for anyone to admit that about Geno...it's just the type of player he is. Malkin has been at his best when he's had a sniper-type like Sykie and/or a puck-retriever with skills (Malone) playing alongside him.

Must mention this.
The Stafford and Setoguchi suggestions came as a result of a post-game discussion I had on twitter with "Jon_White1". Those were two names he came up with during our discussion last night, and I worked into the column. Meant to mention this in the column before I turned it in and forgot.
So to Jon_White1, thanks buddy.
EDIT: Pens won 2-0. Malkin obviously did not have a HT. He and Jeff Taffe had the goals, but Malkin was absolutely dominant that night.

Just throwing this out there.
A few years ago, Crosby suffered his ankle injury. At home. Against Tampa.Next game was on the road. In Montreal. All the Pens did was win. Malkin had a hat trick.
