Yes they are, actually. Mearsy and Hradek did every broadcast of the US games from a studio in Colorado (Why Colorado, I don't know.)

I know they didn't send anyone over to Sweden this year, so it's in-studio play-by-play again.

I don't undersand why Bettman is taking heat for this from some of you. More money dollars is good for the NHL. It's not like Bobby Mac, Duthie, and co. are going to quit their jobs because of this. They'll either stay together on TSN and do a truly objective show, or get picked off by other networks and still be themselves and spread the game through other outlets. Yes, this is a shocking development, but why Gary Bettman should be criticized for this move is beyond me.

Didn't catch the SportsCenter, but in the 90 minutes, was there any mention of the NHL Draft (possibly the deepest Draft in league history which saw some significant trades take place.

Anywho, great piece. The lack of highlights is noticable and staggering.

Feel like it's worth noting NBC/Pierre always keeps those interviews with Tortorella to one to two quick questions because Torts (on television) has said he hates doing them. As you look at the video, Torts pretty much ends the interview by leaning away, not Pierre. They also aren't ever live. You need to find video of Tortorella saying, "I hate this. I hate it," to Pierre on national tv, this isn't too much.

@CFA_27 (former hurricane and blackhawk) 36 years old. Energy player who's faster and can score more than Talbot. Perhaps not quite as gritty though. Nashville guy, Ray loves him. 682 career points in 890 career games. Not inured enough in his career to be considered "injury plagued" or" injury prone"... but still hurt enough not to be ignored. I give the signing a B.
