Grid Portfolio uses it's own post type, so it won't be able to pull in your existing boxes data if that is what you are asking.

@DaveCastlevania @adm_mnz Most likely just need to resave the primary site options so the .less stylesheet is recompiled. This doesn't get done on single pages.

@DaveCastlevania @adm_mnz Yeah I'm pushing an update now ( 1.0.1 ) which will fix the issue. For now, I will have to figure out another way to use transients and store cached data so that it will work with multiple authors.

@DaveCastlevania Hey Dave, I implemented some cacheing before the final release using the wp transients API. My guess is that the option values have saved but something about how its showing the data is only checking for a change in one location. SOrry for the trouble, let me test and get back to you.

1 year, 8 months ago on Grid-Portfolio

Reply

@drakior Actually I forgot to mention that the reason why I was using large thumbnail images is to avoid having to load two separate images all together: one for the thumb, one for the lightbox. In this case it will just use one and save resources...make sense?

1 year, 8 months ago on Grid-Portfolio

Reply

@drakior Thanks for the feedback. I'm currently working on optimizing images to help the load time. The pagination is something, however, that I most likely will not be adding. It doesn't make sense in terms of how the filtering javascript is done and thus just wouldn't work as intended. As you mentioned the same kind of issue comes in to play when you set a max number of items...Perhaps I could implement some ajax and reinitialize each grouping, but as it stands I rather the section be more light-weight rather than adding more bulk to it since it wasn't intended to be a full blown paginated archive.

Easing is a good option. Again, thanks for the all the feedback it's truly appreciated.

1 year, 8 months ago on Grid-Portfolio

@r_schilder  @adm_mnz The titles always on top is not currently an option, but you can go into the page meta settings and remove the all button by unchecking the multi-filter option if you prefer. Also, if you want there is an option for titles on bottom.?

1 year, 8 months ago on Grid-Portfolio

@r_schilder Certainly, you just need to make one change in the section.php file for the grid portfolio section. Go to line 455 and change 'ID' to 'rand'

1 year, 9 months ago on Grid-Portfolio

Reply

@benyschonfeld I've definitely had requests to improve image uploading, but the bottom line is that the only way for this to happen would be to completely reconfigure the plugin and not use a custom post type. Of course I don't want to do that because I think the section is better served as a custom post with individually configurable options. Additionally the PageLines API doesn't yet have a bulk image upload option type.

I'll definitely look into the lightbox options for you but unfortunately the section is not going to under go drastic changes to shave off a few minutes of input time. If you are looking for a large catalogue of images I probably wouldn't use the section anyway as you'll want a quicker solution on loading that many images.

Best of luck and thank you very much for your input. I really do appreciate it.

@JarrodHennis You mean to the left of the grid portfolio? I assume that's what you mean, in which case you need to move the section to the content area in PL drag & drop

1 year, 9 months ago on Grid-Portfolio

Reply

@Gayatriom For starters if you are going to link directly to your portfolio pieces on the web then I would cut down your images sizes. Use images that are under 100KB and have a max width of your actual thumbnail width. Some of your images are 1240px wide.

I'm working on doing a better job with image thumbnails auto-scaling for future versions.

1 year, 10 months ago on Grid-Portfolio

Reply

@nychick1000 Yes no problem. When you use the image/media uploader in WordPress to add images or media to a page or post you are actually adding it to that page's gallery. So in the case of Grid Portfolio you need to insert media into the particular post you want it added and then you can click save changes. If you click the uploader again you'll see the gallery tab will have your previously uploaded image in there stored.

Let me know if you need further clarification.
