He just stays and this conversation didn't go anywhere, you Googled everything you put out for ProjectSpurs to read and we got a thrill. *Round of applause*

@Spursfan66 @koshwayne If you see how Matt Bonner's performance is every game, he don't score every game. Whether if his minutes or low, he doesn't get his name called and he either has a free throw or two by drawing a foul, that is why I say he scores 1-2 points a game. If you average it out he scores 1-2 points a game not in his WHOLE career or a night in Minnesota, no I am not saying either. By saying all that my SUPPOSED claim is not accurate I know that before I commented on this Blog, it's an "exaggeration", all I want is for the Spurs to get rid of him and move onto to someone who can rebound, not be a 6'10" forward sitting on the bench night in and night out. Yeah he might have had a few great nights but what I feel which everyone is stuck to their own opinion is, the Spurs will get rid of him like they say "it's a business" and not to get an emotional connection over a player, you and I are talking about Matt Bonner not the "big 3". Do you pay me to look for BIGS for your pleasure now? Do I work for you? I don't HAVE to Google what you did awhile ago as your sitting at your computer and Googling all the BIGS that compare to Matt Bonner. Your advice is your opinion, not taking it in any way, shape or form.

@Spursfan66 @koshwayne  I honestly don't care what he averages or what the last game he scored, he rides the bench the majority of the time. Once he is traded before the deadline this season, my point making he needs to be gone. It will be the end of this conversation and you can keep discussing numbers all you want but overall he don't contribute every night as he should. That is what makes the Spurs and the management "aggressive" before this season's deadline.

9 months, 2 weeks ago on Trade Market: Looking through the Spurs assets

Reply

@Spursfan66 @koshwayne I NEVER said in his career he scores 1-2 points a game, were talking about this trade deadline the topic is before 2014 "trade deadline". When Pop puts him in the game to contribute he scores in that 1-2 points in a game, not his career, you said career not me. His minutes a game is beyond my control, not a coach but I know as a fan the team needs contributors and like the management says they are going to be "aggressive" in this free agency. My opinion, Matt Bonner needs to go and the Spurs will hopefully find a big that can replace him. Pop obviously don't play him for reasons, when he puts Matt Bonner in a game he don't contribute like he used to. Haven't seen a 3 point machine like he was and that is something the management will figure out in the coming weeks. My expectations is to see my team win the 2014 NBA Finals, if the team wants to win they will do anything in their power to get rid of players. I want to see the "big 3" to remember 2014 because the Spurs "aggressively" traded players to reach that NBA Finals level again and hope to win it all. My expectations are high for my team, in with the new out with the old and Matt Bonner is old news, time to get a big that can rebound.

Hopefully the Spurs do make a GREAT trade before the trade deadline and they get rid of Matt Bonner, he does not shoot threes this season like he has in the past. Time to ditch Bonner and move on to someone who can contribute to the team instead of riding the bench and scoring 1 or 2 points a game.

@mdeleon @koshwayne If your not in the NBA and could pull 3 million or more out of the blue, then yes my point making it is not cheap if someone isn't in the NBA making that a year. 3 million is a lot of money to me, may not be to the player himself or someone who has been in the NBA and made 3 million, since your not in the NBA or have been.

It's not going to be the same when Manu & Tim retire, also when Pop wants to call it a coaching career, that's for sure. I know Tony won't feel the same when the three leave & he's in San Antonio as the only main piece that was part of the championship contending players on the Spurs squad when they won three titles (2003, 2005, 2007). I would understand if Tony left San Antonio for another team if the three leave, definitely!! It is not going to be the same!!

At the moment it is the Spurs & Thunder that are the biggest threats to Miami coming out of the West and definitely not the Lakers they are done. Spurs will be stronger and hungrier this year after a bad performance in Game 6 & 7, the Spurs will recognize the mistakes they made in the 2013 NBA Finals and move forward from that and win it all coming 2014 NBA Finals. @Jose_G @koshwayne Diaw won't leave his frenchmen behind such as Parker and De Colo. Pop and R.C. Buford will have talks about keeping the frenchmen together since they know the system because Parker ran the same plays in his country and on the same french team these players played in. Manu is not in talks about his new contract but I got an idea he'll take less like Timmy did to bring in key players. What excites Pop is bench points, who can contribute off the bench and that name is written all over Gary Neal, if Manu takes less some of that can be put toward Gary Neal to play for the Spurs. Gary Neal isn't known to handle a ball all game long, that's why their are 2 guards on the court. Gary Neal has good looks and I'd say he makes the majority of them, not all of them. One night he has the clutch and the next night he might not. I believe in Pop and the Spurs organization to figure out the situation with the Spurs cap space and who will be back, if the Spurs want to be solid and have a team that knows what to do on the court unlike other teams then they'll do what they can do to bring everyone back they have now for a good price. Jack isn't the greatest guard, he'll expect a lot of money and the Spurs don't have a lot to spend. Gary Neal would have to take maybe the same or less. Now Mills is a decent guard, he don't compare to Jack though. But for now the Spurs are not looking for anything to add right now like as of this minute, it's the playoffs and Jack is going head-to-head with the Spurs so he might come up amazing or go silent. Hopefully he don't show clutch this playoff series. He don't have a lot of playoff experience, well most of his team don't have playoff experience should I say. They almost blew the game against the Nuggets.

@ChrisCano Every player in the NBA needs adjustments, especially coming from the CBA or Euro league. It's not going to be a LeBron James or Tony Parker kind of flashes but it takes awhile for certain players to adjust. No one can't expect the greatest out of all NBA players just because their professionals. Not all NBA players will be in the NBA and stay there. De Colo will come around, reason Pop still has him on the roster and has not let him go yet.

Nando De Colo won't be a HIT right off the bat, he'll need time like Corey Joseph had in the D-League. It takes quite some time to adjust to the Spur's system so no one should count out Nando De Colo just yet.

I believe in Pop, he knows what he's doing as a coach. The Spurs have 4 championships and they all been with coach Pop in the mix. The thinking as a Spurs fan is we shall go to the Finals and win it all and not have a mindset because signing T-Mac was the worse move Pop and the Spurs ever made in history. With the team we have now, the departure of Stephen Jackson, the injuries, the T-Mac signing. We should as fans have high hopes for our team no matter what, win or lose I'll always be that Spurs fan. :)

Did everyone read that guy's? Smith can play small and a power forward . . . Meaning he can take Kevin Durant one-on-one in the Western Conference. We all know we liked Stephen Jackson while it lasted but his contract is too much for San Antonio right now and Tiago isn't playing at that Tim Duncan level that we all expected. Jackson is getting to his prime and Smith is younger and can handle Durant in the Western Conference finals better than Jackson can right now, we need Smith. No one on the Spurs roster except Leonard can guard Durant and he can't play 48 mins a game guarding Durant. IF this trade goes down, I like this trade a lot. Had more details in it because WHAT IF Tiago wanted more cash and wasn't going to be everything Smith is right now . . . That's the question we have to keep in mind. The front office will get their money's worth giving Smith a chance at paying him a little more.

Not a bad idea on the Spurs part. Main concerns are his ridiculous actions he takes. Hopefully he can move on from that phase an be more professional in the Spurs organization, "IF" he signs with the Spurs. He does have potential like everyone is saying but I'd like to see more maturity coming from this guy. If he don't take his job serious on the Spurs roster, there isn't gonna be a promise he will be a long-term Spurs player. Maybe do a 10 day contract, or a little longer to see how this guy progresses so the Spurs won't blow some millions on this guy. If he don't progress an satisfy Pop than it'll save Pop & the organization time and money.

That's my insight on this "interest".
