My two favorite teams, Pens and Jackets, have suddenly gone into Freaky Friday mode. Jackets drop a guy who didn't want to be here anymore and wasn't playing great for a guy who will put the puck in the net and be a giant pest to play against. The management in Cbus is solid and the direction the team is going is obvious. They've got some solid prospects on both offense and defense. I barely recognize the Penguins right now. Hopefully it all comes together soon. Otherwise this season is gonna be a long one.

All I'm saying is show a little more respect to the Jackets. I think subconsciously I was rooting for the Pens the whole time. But I wanted the Jackets to do well. It pisses me off to no end when the Jackets and the fan base here in Columbus gets dismissed so easily. NWA was louder than CONSOL. Glad to see the Pens move on. Fuck the rest of the world, especially the Flyers and Bruins.

The Pens played great. Geno finally woke up. But you guys can go fuck yourselves if you can't appreciate what the Jackets' crowd brought in the third period. It was loud and crazy and nuts and as soon as the Jackets starting playing with some heart, the crowd woke up. This series was hard for me, because I love both teams. I'm glad the Pens are moving on to the next round, but Cbus showed up and showed the rest of the NHL that they are a hockey town. If you can't see that or appreciate that, then you just need to shut the fuck up. Go Pens. Fuck the Flyers and/or Rangers.

Honestly, I think the Jackets could surprise the Pens. That 0-5 record is a bit misleading. Bobrovsky is capable of stealing games. Jackets have a solid defense. And Johansen is having a career year. I think if the Pens play like we all know they can play and don't revert to the shitty play of the past few playoffs, Pens in 5 or 6. But if they slip up even a little bit, Jackets are well equipped to take advantage. And it could go 7 with the Jackets taking it. Everybody counting the Jackets out so easily obviously hasn't watched many of their games this season. Being a huge fan of both teams, I'm just pulling for a well-played, seven game series, and who wins wins. I can't choose. But seriously, don't count out the Jackets so easily.

Uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuugh, this is not the first round match up I wanted. My two favorite teams, both seriously needing series wins. On one hand, the Jackets could be perfect for the Pens to get to their playoff mode and actually play good hockey. On the other hand, if they implode, the Jackets are very poised to take full advantage of that. I'm not going to pick a winner. I'm just going to say I hope every game is 2-1 and the series goes to 7. Lol. Because this round is going to huuuuuuuuuuurt me. Hahahaha.

@CheDy_79 Touche'. You made me eat my words man. Engo did not have a good night. But you gotta admit Eaton is playing very well. Have Borts and Simon take Engo's place in the lineup if he's going to struggle that badly.

@CheDy_79 @CammieBuckeye Eaton may be 35 but he's been in the playoffs and won a Cup.

It's not playoffs yet. So they still have time to bring Despres along. But this is a statement game if there ever was one. Better to have the stable, calm veteran in, if you ask me. I like Despres a lot. I think he's got great potential. But for this game, I'm okay with Eaton and Engo.

Martin is back. Eaton has played very well. Despres is just the odd guy out. Eaton brings a stable veteran presence for a game that has the tendency to get out of hand. I like the D lineup for this type of game.

There should be a $1,000 fine implemented by the Penguins tonight for any boneheaded, stupid, uncalled-for shenanigans. That might get their heads screwed on straight so they can destroy the Flyers like we all know they can.

I keep waiting for Brooksie to just (legally) destroy someone and that triggers his game back to normal or something. Oh and when Geno scored, pretty sure the first words out of my mouth were "No he fucking didn't."

The game sucked from the Penguins' point of view. However, there's no need for bridge jumping just yet. I don't know if it's just me, but I keep coming back to the lockout. It threw a major wrench into everything. I know this was game 21 and you'd think they'd have their shit together by now. But I think the evil lockout is still having an effect on a lot of teams. There was no long training camp to implement systems and develop good habits within those systems. There have been injuries. Teams are playing a lot of back-to-back games or games with just a day in between. Maybe they are pressing too much because of the shortened season and they know a brief losing streak could mean the difference between playoffs and no playoffs. I don't know. But this is the Penguins we're talking about. Crosby, Malkin, Neal, Kunitz, Letang, Orpik, Fleury, Bylsma, Granato, Shero, freaking Lemieux.  They all won't stand for mediocrity, which is how the past few games have gone. I'm very confident that the Penguins will get this ship righted. And look for Shero to make a splash at, or before, the deadline I think.

So the question now is do I burn my blue jersey or just lock it away in a trunk in a dark attic for a few years? lol. Faaaaack I hope Geno has a harder head than Sid and recovers quickly. Interestingly, I had a neck sprain from getting hit on the ice. Guy ran into me ass first when he lost control on a breakaway. I stopped the puck, but got a bad neck sprain and just a minor concussion. The neck pain was what gave me the most fits. Hopefully that's more of what the problem is here and not an actual concussion.
