Something to keep in mind about the Colts. Although they will be fun to watch and are improving all the time, they are not one of the league's elite teams. New Orleans is. Next year? Maybe. We will probably make the playoffs, but if we played in the NFC South, instead of AFC, we might not.
As far as the game, 1) it's preseason, 2) Andrew Luck had a bad game. That's what we look like when Andrew is off.

Brazill's and Irsay's cases are not equivalent. Brazill violated the NFL drug testing program, which has express punishments and procedures. The first failed test requires that the player enter an enhanced testing/treatment program, a second or third violation results in suspensions. Irsay's arrest is more like when a player gets a DUI. This year, players Spencer
Smith, and Josh Gordon had DUIs. Gordon is a special case, because he both had a DUI and violated the drug testing program. Nothing has been done by the league yet about Ware or Smith. A first DUI in the past has resulted in a league fine but no suspension. Is Irsay being treated differently from players? Not differently from Ware or Smith.

The Colts should have dumped him long ago. They waited too long on Joe Lefeged. What is the message you are sending players like Da'Rick Rogers and Louchiez Purifoy?

I think the two year plan for D'Qwell is OK. It allows the Colts a chance to assess McNary, Muamba, Adongo and others, and we hope one of them steps up. If a good linebacker drops to us in the draft, then Grigson could select him. This draft will be a real test for Ryan Grigson; there are a bunch of defensive backs and DE/LB types probably available at Pick 90, even in the 5th round. The ratings for these players are all over the place. If he has a great draft, problem solved.

@ColtsHead_Ben KJR nails it; one miss: Drake Nevis. He's not the only one who thought Nevis would make it.

The Washington Post article linked below does not mention the fleeing and eluding charge mentioned in other articles. A ray of hope for Joe Lefeged? He might survive if only the gun registration and open container charges are filed: (carrying a pistol without a license, possession of an unregistered handgun, unlawful possession of ammunition, having a gun in a car and having an open container of alcohol).
1 year, 7 months ago on Colts Safety Joe Lefeged Arrested on Gun Charges, Fleeing Police
Update to some of the points made by Payton: From the Associtated Press (http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/nfl/news/20130629/joe-lefeged-arrested-guns-nfl.ap/?sct=uk_t2_a3
1) The police arrested Lefeged as he tried to run away. This will be a guilty plea on the fleeing and eluding charge.
2) A receipt in the car showed Lefeged bought the gun this year for about $900. It was sticking out under the seat where Joe was sitting. Bad week to get a open and shut gun charge.
3) Officers smelled marijuana in the car and found a plastic bottle of vodka and orange juice in the center console. The Commish is not going to like this.
Good news, Sergio Brown, a spot just opened up on the 53-man roster.
According to B/R NFL 1000 2013 and Pro Football Focus, 5 of the top 10 right tackles are free agents: Andre Smith, Sebastian Vollmer, Eric Winston, Gosder Cherilus, Phil Loadholt RT. A guard or two would be great: Andy Levitre, Louis Vasquez, Donald Thomas, Brandon Moore. There is also an array of safeties available. I would not overpay for a cornerback, although it is a need, because it looks like Desmond Trufant will be best player available in Round 1 of the draft.
