Wouldn't it be hilarious if he didn't tell Staff that he's "retiring" and this was their warning as well?

@Redacted_66 At least it's only for 1 year, so if he turms out to be shit, we can always not re-sign him.

As soon as I read saw this my response was to proclaim out loud; "Oh, no no, no! Why?!"

But then again, that would be my reaction to the signing of any non-Penguin I dislike.

The Pens do so great during the season and then implode during the playoffs. It hurts me to say this, but the Pens have become Boudreau's Caps.

Also, Dan calling the team out like he did is years too late.

Half-expecting more of the same. Jackets figure out how to defend against Bylsma's game plan & Bylsma refusing to adapt.

6 months, 1 week ago on Conversation @ http://thepensblog.com/

Unless #Pens make Finals, I think Dan Bylsma & his coaching staff should be fired after the playoffs end. Their inability/unwillingness to adapt when opposition figures Bylsma out has gone from staggering to expected. Failure should not be formulaic. It's been 6 years since the team won a Cup & Bylsma was just along for the ride.

6 months, 1 week ago on Conversation @ http://thepensblog.com/

Hmm. Didn't "kick the tires and light the fires" get shot down? Anyway, Pens should easily handle Bob Ross and the Blue Jackets; I don't expect Bylsma's inability to coach, Fleury's playoff yips, and the bottom 6 being unable to score causing any problems until midway through round 2.

I think the play with the overturned net would have gotten blown dead as soon as the Pens touched the puck if the ref didn't get the net resettled quickly enough. I swear a similar thing happened last year in a Caps game where the opposing coach was pissed when the caps scored while the Caps' net was overturned.

It's somewhere in the rulebook.

Man, this probably spells doom for Boychuk's career if he doesn't take off in Nashville. I'd assume a guy who was waived twice in a shortened season and can't perform at the NHL level is probably persona non grata if he doesn't take off somewhere.

After everything the Pens do for the fans, why did they come up with an ultra-exclusive program for "everybody" that caters to mostly in-Pittsburgh season ticket holders?

Staff's right, Letang should get a fucking haircut. His hair is like a huge parachute that slows him down and he trips over every so often. It's probably grown into his brain as well, stifling his creativity. I don't give a shit about his puckbunny fans being upset (real female fans would give no shits as long as his play improved).

1 year, 8 months ago on RECAP: February of the Penguins. PENS LOSE.

Yesterday's game was so bizarre. Why did Letang all of the sudden forget to play defense? Why the hilariously undisciplined play during the second? (I knew the Panthers were going to go powerplay goal happy when Steiggy would not shut his fat fucking mouth about how bad they were)

I still have one of the Florida 5-on-3(ish) powerplay goals playing in my head. Did Letang forget we were still on the PK when Cooke vacated the box? Instead of dumping that bitch when he had the chance, he tries to tap it to Cooke at center, but it's intercepted by the Panther who was right there. Did he seriously think the guy wouldn't intercept that?

Why does it take Vokoun longer to get back up than the dick of a guy with ED?
