Agreed Ross, when McCoy accepted the penalty after the runningback for Cinn was dragged down for a 3 yard loss, even as a player who made that play, and I think it was Te'o, I would have been pissed. Let's not mince words. McCoy has had his head up his ass a lot this season. And as usual the Chargers players look to comfortable after making mistakes. McCoy better not show signs of Norv like softness or he will soon be buried in someone's booth just like Norv.

BLACKOUT! Even after a win this team is irrelevant. That will only change if they stop choking. Last week was a good first step but obviously it will take a lot more than one win to build up a fan base that has been ruined the past five years.

Thanks for the update Ross. Woodhead played "tall" again today. Mathews hammy, what else is new. Is Ingram still serious about coming back this Year? Tutu finally has his "moment", awesome!

Hope Fluker is ok.
Liuget cost them the game.
Clary still sucks.
Rivers is a statue so stepping up in the pocket only works for a while.
Figures Mathews would have the best run of his short career but not score.
If you can't beat Miami there is no way this team can win a playoff game so no reason to hope they would make it in.
Two more years, two more drafts and maybe we can compete with the big boys. Maybe by then, maybe.

How about that. The more things change the more they stay the same.
I also see that I'm still asking Rivers to prove who he is. I hate this shit.
Andy Reid, who I did not want as the bolts next head coach has taken the Chiefs from last place in the league to first place and last undefeated team standing. The first thing Reid did after his hiring was get his new QB. Smith looks better than Kaepernick does this year so Reid is "the Man" right now.
Reid got ran out of Philly last year and because I live outside of Philly I not only witnessed it, I agreed with it. Just like I agreed with them giving up on King Dunlap. My only point in bringing these things up is that it is obvious that changing head coaches and players can do a lot for NFL teams. Dunlap wasn't doing too bad until his head became the liberty bell. He was a "soft" and slow player in Philly. In SD he seemed to improve.
While Reid and Smith are riding high and getting ready for the match-up of the week, the bolts are once again irrelevant. They are not even a "newsworthy" mention on any national telecast.
Speaking of song references Ross, the Aerosmith song No More No More keeps repeating in my head. First because of my opinion of the excuses, second because of the lyrics " it's the same old story never get a second chance for a dance to the top of the hill".
Once again referring to the Reid and Smith reference, it all comes down to the head coach and the QB. McCoy can't cut it yet and Rivers can't deliver. Not that I don't think McCoy can't improve. Of course he can but can Rivers hang on long enough until he does and if he does will he deliver?
English done and will be gone. No surprise there.
I see a little light at the end of the tunnel. The problem is that the light is still probably two yrs away. Rivers has played better but still not clutch enough. Could be because of a lack of a running game and 2 starting receivers going down early. But I do see good things out of our draft picks so this thing could turn around in a couple years. I do agree that Mr. Mike and the Wisser needs their balls to grow.

Your right Jeff. Manning didn't beat us. It was the YAC that killed us. That Demaryius Thomas kicked our ass. Also, Rivers just never looks in total control at the end of games when we need him most. That slide before the first down marker in the first half killed one drive. His delay of game in the second half killed another. That delay of game and lost yardage scared McCoy off from going for it on fourth down during a critical drive. Lastly, every Charger fan from coast to coast knows we don't have a legit running game when we need the tough yardage. Woodhead has done more than expected but he can't do it all.

Typical, irrelevant and over. Time to go into watch and wait mode. I'll watch but once again I'll have to wait another year.

Win or stay irrelevant.
Ross, the comments from this post are great, especially the "great play calling Norv McCoy". If anything good comes of this it should be the fact that Mister Mike and the Wisser are feeling the heat and they rightly should be. I expect a much better effort and outcome against Denver. Football is the weirdest sport. Nick Foles throws 7 TDS against Oakland. Oakland made us look like shit and we made Philly look bad. It's just weird. I guess it always comes down to consistency. That is what separates the "real good most of the time teams" like New England from the frustrating "real good some of the time teams" like the Chargers. Mister Mike looks like he has that same "post game presser confidence" that Bill Beli has, but that shit better carry over to the next "game day play calling" after allowing the fan base to experience yet another heartbreaking loss.

@Lucab12 Agreed Ross, Felt a lot like Arrowhead, especially the "thanks for ripping our hearts out" part. Only difference is instead of Rivers being the assdart, this all falls on Mister Mike and the Wisser. Chokes. I sure hope Spanos at least gave McCoy a dirty look on the plane ride home. I am also very tired of even thinking about thinking what the fuck McCoy is thinking when it comes to when he is supposed to play Mathews.
Ross, here is my version of what happened at the Redskins goal line. Mike McCoy played by William Hope trying to call the play. Philip Rivers played by Bill Paxton with his reaction. Oh yeah, and McCoy saying at the presser that if they had made the touchdown we wouldn't be questioning the play calling. Asshole!
Cowards!!!!!!!!! I've been a Chargers fan for 30 years and I've seen some bad play calling over the years but McCoy and the Wisser brought play calling to an all time low. It was like a butcher having the turkey on the chopping block and missing it's neck and chopping off your own fucking fingers.

Ross, you are "The Dead HEAD". Although a great tune it never occurred to me that this was what you were referring to. On a darker note Lou just took his last train. Thought this was fitting considering the train references.

Laura McKeeman not just another pretty face. Nice job interviewing "all business" Mike McCoy.

Guess this is the week to look at stats and possibilities. Denver heading back home after coming off a tough road loss to the Colts will be ready to drop a big number on the skins this week. The skins D have given up an average of 31 points over the past six games. This leads me to believe that even though I would love to see an upset of Denver bringing them even one game closer to us, that there is no chance in hell that it is going to happen.
However, here is the good news. We get to see for the first time how a Mike McCoy team performs after having an extra week to prepare for a team that struggles on the defensive side of the ball. Shady McCoy gashed them for 184 yards. Starks for GB dropped another 132 on them. Stafford went up top for 385. And their last game against Chicago at home Forte scored 3 TDs and McCown threw for 204 and touchdown. Hell Manning could score 50 on them by halftime.
As far as next week goes I know in the past that as far as our Chargers go we would always play down to the competition because Turner was always good at one thing, playing down to the level of the competition. Fortunately I believe those days are behind us so enjoy the week off and who knows maybe the Chiefs luck will run out. I know Joe Banner would love nothing better than being the team to stop his old friend Andy Reids hot streak. Then we can go into Washington a week later and take care of our business.
And I'll meet you at the station. Well Ross, we won, and very convincingly. Nice way to go into the bye. Before I forget thanks for the casts. Love the personal touch and it's comforting knowing that the bobble head is holding down the fort. Strike up the band, Mathews actually looks like he wants it all of the sudden. Maybe he's tired of Woodhead making him look like a pussy.
I must admit that I am impressed with McCoys or the Whisers however you look at it, playcalling. Not predictable as Turners plays always were. I am however concerned with all the concussion injuries. As I said before, Telesco is earning his pay check this year. He keeps rolling in players that are at least seen to be able to pick up the playbook.
On a side note those damn Chiefs keep living the shitty life and somehow keep pulling out wins. I would love to see our guys healthy and ready to kick their ass when the time comes. Well I'm gonna sign off and go see if the Colts can somehow ruin the Manning love fest. Keep the faith. Oh ya, and I agree Allen is kicking ass. Another good choice by Tommy T.
