Malkin has not been the game changer that he was last year. He is trying ridiculous passes, taking bad penalties, and not drawing penalties. You can blame the "other" winger all you want but that is reality. I really think that playing in Russia hurt him. Playing against inferior competition allowed him to do things that he can't do in the NHL and he hasn't adjusted yet. Hopefully Bennett will settle in on the wing and Malkin remembers how to play even strength in the NHL.
