I am so glad you are going to continue blogging in 2014! The blog world would be a sadder place without you. The focus on what God is teaching you sounds really great, and I'm excited to learn along with you.

My friends and I have a special bond over the color yellow - and when any of us are having a bad day, we intentionally seek out something yellow and send a picture of it to each other. It is such a small thing, but it changes the whole mood of the day.

I am going to send this to my husband who has an acute fear of belly buttons> that way I get to laugh at it now, and then laugh again when he freaks out upon reading it.

I went through PPD after my daughter was born. It was definitely something I wasn't prepared for during my pregnancy, in fact, I don't remember hearing much about it at all. That was almost 10 years ago, and the awareness has increased since then, and so have the way for moms to get support and help. That is a really good thing.

The fact that you quoted Philadelphia Story proves that this advice is perfect.

(that is my very favorite movie, and not just because I share a name with Katherine Hepburn's character)

I have this book. It is really good, and has been encouraging to me on days of writer's block.

Movies are my thing - and my favorites list is too long to try to share. But the one movie I can watch when I'm happy or sad or frumpy, and still get something out of it is Philadelphia Story. It is always good, always classic.

Thank you for sharing your story. I'm so sorry you weren't validated as a child, and your pain and trauma was dismissed. What happened was a big deal, and it should have never happened.

I see so many yummy looking recipes on Pinterest, but I have yet to try cooking any of them. It probably has something to do with the fact that I hardly cook anything...but I digress. Cheesy Chicken Ranch Lasagna sounds particularly wonderful.

It is wonderful to see those friendships from childhood continue into adulthood. And it definitely is easier to keep in touch now than it was back in the pen and paper days.

I've really been enjoying Google+ and Spotify, too. I haven't tried the hangout feature yet.

I love that they tried to help you out....even if they were kind of bossy.

I have never really learned how to dance. I love to do it at home, alone, but I don't think I'll take my "talent" out in public any time soon.
