It was a good year and I'm proud of the Buccos. Let's do this again next year (perhaps without the nerve-racking Wild Card game).

@wkkortas We don't want him, but we'll keep him busy for a day or two.
2 months, 1 week ago on A few considerations for a one game playoff
@noooodbtaboutit @whygavs I feel I can say with confidence that I'd still hate it. I hated it last year and the Buccos weren't involved.
2 months, 1 week ago on The one game playoff is ridiculous
@PatStuart The article from October of last year gives credence to the possibility of honesty here. If you have an opinion that just happens to align with your team's interests, that can often mean it's influenced, but is far from a guarantee (i.e. I don't think you can say "no doubt.").
I personally would not feel that there should be a one-game playoff if the Pirates were the away team with the worse record. I too didn't like it last year, and I won't like it in the future if the Pirates are not included in the wild card playoff game.
Your own argument goes far too extreme. A one-game playoff is won by the "worse" team at a much higher rate than a five- or seven-game series. So the argument is that a few playoff SERIES is still reasonably likely to crown the better team, while a one-game playoff is far less likely.
Why would he have to clear waivers if he has a two-way deal?

@Stillson_14 Agreed. I'm not sold on upgrading the defense over upgrading the offense anyway. Confidence Index playing well. Brooks (last few games aside) playing well. Letang ditto. Despres good. Engelland and Niskanen doing well. Eaton doing what you expect.
I don't mean I see no reasons, just that I'm on the fence about which needs more help. Probably D. Was stout during the cup runs. They were nasty in front of the cage last night. Maybe they just needed that reminder.

@dvo @NickDobda Was definitely a turn. They talked about it on the post-game show, or somewhere, about how Craig was already engaged and the player was not turned. Oh well - made up for the non-call on the Letang play that was a penalty.
P.S. I counted at least 15 times when a player would pin someone to the boards with their foot elevated off the ice last night. Just sayin'... :)

@dvo No dyslexia required. He's Hedman and he is horseless, but "gallops" or whatever Bob said all the same.
Neck sprain is my guess. Rossi was mislead. Fingers crossed that's right.
Could just be a severe case of whiplash. Fingers crossed.

@CheDy_79 Yep. I'm not as certain as Staff that they're trading for a winger. They do have like $13M in cap space though.

@AnswerBrew Tell that to the 1960 Pirates.

You mean Kunitz's goal? :)
Scoring has been weird this year. They keep mis-attributing goals on deflections. Scorers are still in pre-season mode.

I'm awaiting official review of the Kennedy Goal. I don't think it touched his stick. I had Martin @ 4:20 1st period. The goal came at 4:40.

I may have misread "You will not be able to watch the Penguins live if you live in Pittsburgh" as being in general, but that is for NHL GameCenter, isn't it? If so, I feel stupid. :)
