@allagash  My point was that if they don't play with the same intensity of the first game they're going to be in trouble in this series which is hard to dispute. And c'mon, I'm always over dramatic. lol

At least it's not as bad as not knowing how to pull the goaltender.

My bad on the score. A couple too many Easter cocktails.

@JMK8363  The sad thing is that Bickel had a very good regular season that year. Then he had that awful turnover against Ottawa, Torts lost confidence in him and he was never the same player again.

@genetics73  I wasn't talking about Game 1. You have to admit they've had a hell of a time finishing their opportunities this season.

@upstate tom  That's a fair point. But by McDonagh's response, it doesn't sound like he's fooling anyone.

@Say my Name  I hear you as we only need to look at the way the Rangers played in front of Talbot all season, but Emery isn't some young kid they might feel they have to protect. He started 28 games this year and was three games under .500. for a team that finished the season 12 games over the Mendoza line.

@McDonagh for President  I used to do a fantasy league on the blog, but it got out of control as I literally was running 12 different leagues with 12 teams in each and then I did a playoffs between the 12 league winners. It was nuts and burdensome.

@Say my Name @KevinTheNYRBlog @gravey94  Yes, because he should have made that save on Brett Hull even though he was in the crease. ;)

In all seriousness, it would have been a black cloud over it. Especially if he wouldn't have won it with that Wings team. Would have had the "couldn't win the big one" label.

@Say my Name @gravey94 @KevinTheNYRBlog  It's not just championships alone, it's the full body of work combined with championships. Obviously I don't think Trent Dilfer is better than Dan Marino, but look at the scrutiny guys like LeBron and Peyton Manning went through before they won.

As I initially said, it's not fair, but in my opinion, it's a big hole in someone's resume when they don't have a championship.

I also think baseball is different as there's way too may other variables involved with one player winning.

I have high standards, what can I say.

@Say my Name @KevinTheNYRBlog What I'm saying is that those great players not having a championship under their belt is a chink in their armor.

Ewing was never able to get his team over the hump and he's remembered for that.

Baseball is a different animal because it's so much more stat driven, but I do think a goaltender on a hockey team has much more effect on a team winning a championship than one player on a baseball team.

I'm sorry, if Hank doesn't win a Stanley Cup his legacy will be "Yeah, one of the greats, but...."

Just look at Dan Marino.

@Lordstanleybroadway  The Rangers problems in the playoffs over the years has been scoring and Miller bring more offense than Fast or Carcillo.

@EMoney2413  And Fast has proven what exactly?

@Say my Name  Sorry, you play to win championships and he hasn't. Is it fair to judge a single person in a team sport? Absolutely not. But if he wants to be considered one of the greatest of all time, he needs a Stanley Cup ring.

Surprised to see so many people down on Miller. I think he's been way more noticeable in the games he's played than Fast has. Having said that, I get the argument of playing Carcillo ahead of him.

@andrewstamant29  While he's had a bounce back season, his contract is too much of an anchor. He's got to be bought out. Rangers really have no choice in my opinion.

@gravey94  Adam can correct me if I'm wrong, but when Pouliot began to heat up the Rangers tweeted out looking for a nickname for him. So Adam decided to create the most ridiculous one that had nothing to do with anything and #CaptainTaco was born. Even better is that the nickname basically went viral on Twitter and now he's commonly referred to as Captain Taco on the social media site.

@EHBIGAPPLE @KevinTheNYRBlog @Betweentheworlds  Callahan was lucky Sather even went as high as $6M per. I'll flip it for you. If Callahan really wanted to stay inNY, he shouldn't have let a mere $300K and a no trade clause get in the way.
