@Lori @Hajra I feel to quite a large extent we can control what we are feeling. But then it becomes weird as to how we react to those feelings.
1 year, 10 months ago on Are You Happy?
@Lori @Hajra It's a two way street. You can be content but not happy - "I have a good job, I have a nice family but I miss not having a long vacation". You can be happy but not content - "I don't have enough to make it to the end of the year but I am sure things will get better and life has more in store for me. I am pretty happy with the way things are. That's okay".
For me it is about feeling content at this point of time to define whether I am happy or not. I might not be happy for the whole day, sometimes. However, other times I might be happy for days! For me it is more about the state of mind I am currently in.
I am loving Triberr. Right now, I just use it for coming across so many new blogs and bloggers. And also the joy of reading everything in one place!

@KDillabough @Hajra It isn't tough to get back. Maybe we are just being a little lazy ;)

@Penelope J @Hajra Ok! Will be there. When does the contest begin?
@ExtremelyAvg I am trying to find some time ; lets hope I find it soon! :)
@Harleena Singh Hmm, I do wish everyone else could write my exams for me! :) Thanks for being so wonderful!
@Penelope J Oh no problem! Just make sure you ask me! Please , please do! I will do as much as I can to support you! But please, please , please ask!
@Joshua Wilner/A Writer Writes Thanks! :)
@Late_Bloomers My flip flops are on full display always! It is 40 C here! :(
@EverydayGyaan Oh I want to be back! I read your posts in my email! Just waiting to come and drive you crazy with comments!
@KDillabough Thanks so much! I might blog this week too, just to break the jinx! How have you been? I miss reading your posts!
@LindaEsposito Ï have been on a blogging break for so long that I do want to get back!
I am so happy that you are taking a break! Have fun! :)
Good for you! I haven't been able to comment here but I have been reading your updates on Triberr! :)
So happy things are shaping up pretty well! :)

I am so glad I found time to comment on this post! For me, I spend my money on things that would really really matter to me in the long run - education (I got enrolled in Masters just last Fall so as to study what I wanted to), books, vacation with family. Otherwise, I am not the kind who spends on too many clothes, fancy gadgets or things that I don't really need. If I am doing fine with a phone, I don't feel the need to buy a "smarter"phone just because it is in the market. I feel one needs to spend money on what makes sense for them. If it is clothes, then so be it. It is after all what makes you happy - you just need to find out what will make you happy for like five second and what makes you happy for always - but then isn't that all just a risk we are taking.
Hope you have a wonderful day!

I love your desk! Its so super organized! :)
Sometimes it does get tough to present our authentic sides - especially for me. I am not always able to say it like I really feel about it, if you know what I mean! :)

@Cathy Tittle Sometimes resisting can be tough. I can understand but then you so love it after you get it that makes the guilt look minimal!

@AstroGremlin I try!
I keep asking the same question so many times. I loved @JohnCBader 's post about this. I think it really is beautifully written and wonderfully explained.

Someone served goat brains - though I didn't have it; the sight of meat made me sick for quite a long time after that. Also on a college trip (in India) I was about to have sliced buffalo tongue... so glad someone warned me before that!

@brpraveen Brownie points for saying nice things!
@brpraveen Thanks so much! I am so surprised people still remember me! :)
I would so agree. Having just blogged after weeks I understand how lost one can get. Though I have a personal blog, I use it as a sample of my writing work. And recently when I applied for a freelance work (I did get it!); the first thing they asked me was whether I could handle being regular for them because I haven't blogged for a long time at my own blog. It took convincing but I could have done without it if I had been regular!

Looking forward to Tuesdays then! I am not such a huge fan of poetry but I do enjoy some now and then. My favorite is Keats.

@RAAckermanATCerebrations Thank you so much. I am too.
Her baby, Ayesha, is such an angel. She sleeps ALL the time, her mom is counting her blessings - its been only 16 days. We never know!
@Harleena Singh Ya it has been mixed bag emotions for the past few weeks, But I am so glad its back to normal. I love the way Jack writes and I am probably his biggest fan. If only I could stalk him! ;)
I am so glad you all understand and still come by after weeks of no activity here! :) Thanks so much!
@Joshua Wilner/A Writer Writes Its an image that never goes. I keep telling him that I hate seeing him like that and he says "you just have to start realizing that I am growing old". He is so much better now but still. I am so glad I was there with him that day.
Being an aunt / uncle is so amazing; I get to spoil the kids and they love me for that. I do make my sisters a little angry when I break their "rules".
I am using the time off so well that I actually am proud of myself! LOL
@Late_Bloomers Ya my eldest sister has a son and a daughter. This is the first child for my other sister. But being an aunt just makes it so special everytime.
The image just refuses to go. I am just glad I was close by. I am taking the time to read and catch up on pending work, hope the break lasts longer! :)
@razwanawahid Ya, it is so scary to see your parents like that! It is a part of growing up I am not ready to accept maybe. It is tough to see the people who raised you in such a state. I was in shock for days. I might have to be more accepting of deteriorating health, maybe? :)
@JSJ2020 It did get in the way this time around. I have read blogs over the past two months but didn't find time to comment. Trying to get back on track! :)
Well I would freak out if I had to spend that much energy but I would agree. If not for anything else, your blog gets a good amount of publicity and that is crucial for any blog. :)

2 years, 1 month ago on Are You a Wimp?
We all begin as wimps in our lives. But some of us gain courage along the way and you are one of those people definitely. I am amazed by the courage you show with each post of yours. I am surprised that you say you are a wimp. :)
I am quite courageous on the outside. But on the inside I consider myself a wimp. :)
@Cathy Tittle It basically a selfless act and I don't think anything should be more important than that.
2 years, 2 months ago on How much is Honesty Worth?
@Cathy Tittle I hate it when they make it the fault of the victim. And there is no excuse for such terrible acts.

2 years, 2 months ago on How are You Doing with Your Resolutions for 2013?
@Lori @Sabrina at MyMiBoSo I always have certain behavioral intentions I work on every month.
@Sabrina at MyMiBoSo @Lori Are your intentions like bucket lists or just some change you intend to bring about?
@angel on a path A lot of us here are the non resolutions type. I can understand the point of looking ahead though personally I am more of the looking back too often person.
I love great customer service stories. Somehow it feels nice to see so much dedication to purpose of your job.
