Rodgers is 10-1 right now as MVP. I'll take that.

@luckie1710 @BenKoo While it's a significant placement/and real estate, still just seems like an aggressive affiliate deal. You click to signup, go to a landing page with a unique URL referencing who referred you, and FOX/CBS get paid for the signup with some type of bounty. That's not exactly a full embrace of daily fantasy but a one off revenue grab that any site with scale and a biz dev guy can do.

@BillSyrjala I know 60 Minutes Sports did a fantasy segment but didn't have much on Daily fantasy at all if I recall. Missed the OTL segment but will look for that. Did Showtime do something outside of 60 Minutes Sports on daily fantasy as you listed them as well.

@luckie1710 We get emaiiled to do affiliate deals with these companies as well as does large sports website. Doing a little one off deal for some affiliate revenue isn't really having skin in the game imo. It's barely even dipping your toe in.

Has there even been an 11 minute plus MLB.com video? My opinion, is that if you can't really blame Vogt than you shouldn't punish him it.

Tremendous article. Lot to takeaway from Fargo, but you've really hit on a great theme here. I'm torn if I want the show to come back.

@morganwick appreciate that feedback but just feel like we're going to get to 2020 without anything popping at least on the national level. If SportsNet LA implodes, that could maybe correcta local bubble.

None of the networks really seem to be holding back. Curious as to when you think we'll see some type of correction?

Here is a good one-

At the end of the 2008 draft McShay and Kiper were asked for who would be first overall next year. Both picked players that were not even picked in the first round (Laurinitis and Maluaga)

My favorite this week was the A's pleading for a review because the umpire (Mike Winters) forgot the count. He thought it was 2-2 and yet out of the 4 pitches 3 of them were foul balls. After 45 seconds of arguing, a review was commenced. Despite being the only game it took about 90 seconds to figure this out.

I complained to everyone I knew at Fox about this. My compromise was to nix it during actual highlights. It's somewhat interesting when I'm half paying attention to what's going in studio but during actual highlights.......it's insane that they want to decrease the presentation of that footage which is the most visually compelling and much bigger on all competitors. I've basically boycotted watching mainly because I'm getting a much inferior experience.  When you watch a movie trailer, you hit full screen. When you buy a tv, there is always somewhere there trying to sell you a bigger tv and helping you finance it. When people want to watch something, they want good picture quality and a large screen. I know FS Live and FS1 had to differentiate themselves but this was just a bad idea and I'm glad they're moving towards nixing it.

Amazing quote here: "I believe ESPN is a NFL Network. It is a football network. It's largely college football, NFL football, mixed in with LeBron James, Tiger Woods, the Red Sox, the Yankees, the big stories of the day, but it is largely a football network. That's what ESPN is."

@Nick Arden  I do, but there is something nice about sitting down and watching them on the big-screen and seeing what commentary is given and what plays they pick. This is basically my version of my dad saying he loves reading the paper and drinking coffee in the morning.

@LouPickney  I usually have a great memory in terms of dates. For many big events like weddings and so on, i can even tell you what sports events were on that day. That said, I have no idea how I flubbed that there. NWO was 8th grade- freshmen year for me, not late high school and college. Maybe i don't just don't want to admit I'm getting old!
