FWIW--McKenzie did say, "unconfirmed." Aaron Ward, however, did not. So, McKenzie's clean in my book, but anyone else who reported it as fact can eat one.
If this all leads up to the Bruins winning the Cup instead of the Pens, it'll be one hell of a kick in the sac for us Pens fans. Until then, though, we're pretty happy.
I just don't like the way the media led Bruins fans to believe it was happening for them first. Reporters, if you don't have your story solid, don't release it as fact--leave it as a "rumor." Otherwise you're on the road to Eklund's (e5)-ville.
Dear Ottawa fans: If you're upset about losing Karlsson to a skate blade to the achilles tendon, I have a cool story for you, bros.

"PENGUINS' STAAL OUT INDEFINITELY AFTER UNDERGOING SURGERY"
"Staal underwent surgery Friday night to repair a severed tendon that runs across the top of his foot to his toe. The injury happened when he was cut by P.K. Subban's skate during a collision with the Montreal defenceman."
So yeah, we're familiar with the feeling. Stop whining. You've still got Jason Spezza and ... Jason Spezza. Okay, commence whining.
@DoobyDoobyDoo @Rage @akus As much as I'd like to see Knuble, I don't think it really helps this team. For two games, we've seen the Pens' team speed be their best asset. Tangradi's worst attribute is his inability to get pressure on the forecheck and cause turnovers for Malkin/Neal. If Bennett's willing to skate hard and do that work, he's a better option, period.
Motherfucking right. What a win to start out the season. Yummy.
Okay, this is bullshit. Are we just going to cut to Philly when the puck drops? The least they could do is give us the heads up here.
It's worth it for me, because half of the time I'm in my office watching on my computer screen, as it is. $50 is worth having a high-quality stream rather than trolling for 20 mins to find a decent feed, which half of the time goes down or hiccups all the time.
If I was able to be in front of a TV, though, I'd bag the $50 and just try streaming a few games if they weren't on TV. For the most part, it looks like the best games (Flyers, Caps, Rangers, Boston) are going to be on National TV anyways. So the hell with it.
Not a fan of cats, but it's worth a donation for the dogs alone. Giving $10 to my local shelter.
F Hartnell.
FYI people: if you're looking for a way to vent your hate, Eisbaren Berlin will be on at 1:30. That's the same Eisbaren Berlin who just signed Claude Giroux and Danny Briere, and probably also ran a concentration camp during WWII. I'm just guessing on that second one, but it makes sense given who they signed.
@CammieBuckeye Well, the better question is this: how hard would it be to recruit you for an adult-league tournament in DC? We could use a good netminder for this fall's Labatt's tournament.
@RentedMule @CammieBuckeye Eh, I'm just joking around. It's cool to support more than one squad. As long as none of them are in Philadelphia.
@CammieBuckeye How do you feel as a San Jose Sharks fan? What about your love for Winnipeg? I'm confused.
@marioISgod @MrsMalkinsBorscht I know I've posted more than one comment on "old" cblog on the last post at blogspot. Just for shits and giggles.
@MrsMalkinsBorscht @marioISgod What ever happened to CHATBLOG? *That* was epic.
@MrsMalkinsBorscht @marioISgod My thoughts exactly. "But wait, there's no dancing milk carton!"
@MrsMalkinsBorscht Yeah, Primanti's is to the point that I don't even take visitors to the Burgh in there anymore. They see it on some clown Food Network show and think it's great, so they want to go. I'll go to Giant Eagle, grab some bread, slaw, fries, and meat and they don't know the difference.
Then I take the money I saved on Primanti's and waste it at Grandview Saloon on over-priced drinks. Still worth it for the view.
@JenBroflovski "Hey, Randy, you know, Beau Bennett could step right in for Bobby Ryan. Did you know he's from California? Yep, great trade that would be."
I think neither Shero nor Bylsma really want to roll with any of those three on Crosby's wing. But to say otherwise would make them seem more desperate in the FA/trade dealings. So they're properly claiming that they're happy with the squad as is, while telling Randy Carlyle, "We'd love to have Bobby, but we don't *need* his ass to win." It's a much better bargaining position.
@JenBroflovski So, why isn't Kennedy at the Prospects Camp? Oh, nevermind...
