Really great writeup, sounds like you had a pretty awesome experience out there. I know people that have done driving schools where they use a ping pong ball in a bowl, but the water seems like a much better idea. Thanks for sharing with us!

@speedhunters_dino Curious to hear how long this treatment lasts, then we can do a real cost comparison. I know it says one-time application. We'll see!

Looks like nice product with great packaging, but my recommendation for this kind of thing is plain old SC Johnson Paste Wax. As mentioned in the article, the SC Johnson wax is one of the products that can be hard to buff off, but that just means you have to be careful not to apply a thick layer. I can verify that it protects mirror-polished aluminum with no maintenance for many months at a time.

Clearly, Aero Performer is a different product (and does a lot more than just protecting wheels), but for $120/kit versus $7/large tin of wax, I think the choice is obvious. At least for me.

I'm putting together my submissions - I've submitted 3 or 4 per theme in the past, but can you guys say a few words about number of submissions per person? I don't want to be the annoying guy attaching too many images for each theme.

Looking forward to seeing this theme!

The sound of that Audi 200 Quattro going down the corkscrew was absolutely insane. Sliding all over the place through the corner, winding out a gear, blow-off valve, a shift and more throttle into turn 9, then letting off again with the blow-off valve singing the song of its people. Just incredible.

@DoBeriault 1-series is going FWD in the future (as far as I know).

@KeithCharvonia I'll let you know if I get any shots of it. Just looked through my old photos - found one shot and it's awful. Then again, I was probably 12 when I took it!

I highly recommend coming out for that weekend, whether you go to the races or any of the other events. It's unmatched.

I see a Cheetah race every year in Monterey (just around the corner now!) - and everyone is always trying to figure out how to get their hands on one for the rest of the weekend! Really special cars, and very neat to see some of the history and information on the continuations. Nice article.

@CyroMiguel All of my shots (so far) have been on film, and I've had a few photos published on IATS. Get a good scan and submit a 800x533 JPEG by email.

@ssbeane I shoot exclusively film right now, and I still wouldn't recommend it. I'm very happy with my results and the whole process, but there's not really many good arguments for using it these days, especially for a new photographer shooting cars.

Thanks so much for posting my photo for this theme and for the DOF theme! Really cool being among these amazing photographers! I'm really loving IATS so far, awesome features.

Oops, that's probably because it's not IATS. It's FeatureThis. Pardon me!

There are some good shots of nice cars in here, but the quality of a bunch of the photos is really low for IATS. Pretty disappointing!

@gtuned From what I gather, the themes specific events you email photos, and otherwise just submit general stuff to Flickr/Instagram/whatever. But then again, I haven't had anything featured yet, so I don't really know how to get the photos to Paddy!
