He finally sent a response but did not address any of the items pertaining to the errors in his speech... all he had to say was this:
"Dear Ms. Pershing,
I apologize if my request for an Attorney General’s opinion is misleading. I assure you that I am a strong proponent of the Second Amendment. I also voted for Lt. Governor Ramsey’s bill SB 0142, which will allow gun carry-permit owners to have guns in their vehicles.
SB 250 was sent to the State Attorney General’s office, in order to address some issues involving the Federal Government’s interstate commerce power and the issue of charging federal officials with a Class B felony if they attempt to enforce federal law.

@PhilDedrick I'm going to try and get off of work and go if possible - take my teen-aged son with me so he can observe as well.
@PhilDedrick Excellent resource - thank you for sharing this!
@Michael Boldin Oh I can imagine - I would have not done so well as I respond poorly to arrogance to that degree. I did get a couple of shots in on my email but somehow I doubt he will even read it. It was sent more for the benefit of the other committee members, and also to let Sen. Beavers and Rep. Butt know there are supporters out there.
Seems a great many of Tennessee's elected folks owe us apologies and either their resignations or immediate rectification of the wrongs they have done... and while I'm dreaming, they should send us all a big wad of cash and a deed to our own personal islands... *sigh* Gov Haslam and Sen. Corker have both been HUGE disappointments over the last little while... Corker was good up to a point but lately he has completely sold out, voting for both the appointment of Hagel and the sending of the jets/tanks to tne MB in Egypt. Seems no one can be trusted these days.
@TaskForce16 Hmmm... maybe he's just jealous that their bill is getting more attention and support than his did... LOL But yes, there are far too many people that stupid these days :( as evidenced on election day.
I just sent an email to the full committee with these facts... let's see if it does any good. Frankly, given that Kelsey is representing a district in and around Memphis I see his position as a lot of posturing to try and keep his seat, being a supposed (R) in a very (D) district.
