this o-line looks much improved over last year. tannehill didn't get sacked 45 times last year they would have been in the play offs.
1 year, 9 months ago on Dolphins solidify offensive line with signing of Tyson Clabo
the only two glaring needs are right tackle and corner. so i hope they sign Eric Winston and Brent Grimes.
1 year, 11 months ago on Remaining needs for the Dolphins in free agency
the right tackle and corner positions are in trouble right now so i'm thinking they will be one and two in the draft. i'm still hoping they pick up grimes. as far as long is concerned really not impressed with him and i believe they can do better.
1 year, 11 months ago on What will Jeff Ireland's next move be ?
@KingShula @gofins72 we got owned in that game because Philbin made an example of bush for fumbling the ball. had bush have been in there it might have been different. i think the team quit on Philbin that day
2 years ago on Greg Jennings smitten, but are the Dolphins?
there is no way they franchise tag him. 10 + million a year no flipping way. he isn't even worth 5 million a year.
2 years ago on Is Sean Smith worth the franchise tag?
as a dolphin fan its been along time since I've been this excited about the up coming season. i believe that we're only a couple players away from becoming the beasts of the east again. left tackle, corner and receiver should make us contenders again. lets just hope Ireland doesn't regress in his draft picking and the free agents we sign aren't just looking for a pay check. cant wait till next year already....
2 years ago on Dolphins have many options with 12th overall pick
@KingShula @DolphinMicks your right i think they have also moved on from Reggie. the only thing that worries me is that if miller goes down they have a very young back field after miller. a position of strength will become a position of weakness. and i still believe Reggie accounted for more than 60 % of our offensive td's that's alot of touchdowns to walk away from.
i'm thinking any corner is better than we have right now. cox seems like a good corner he already has more interceptions than any corner on the phins roster
2 years ago on Dolphins need playmakers to solve problems in the air
@gofins72 i know i really hope they bring back bush also. ugh, its hard enough to bring in big name players to Miami but when great players want to be here and we flat out ignore them it sickens me.
@KingShula i agree receivers shouldn't be a first round pick. but if that's your only need then and only then should you do it. we have too many pressing needs at tackle, corner and pass rushers to draft receiver in the first round.
@gofins72 @JasonLoucks i don't know there both great but Philbin is a stickler for details and his words were for a great receiver you need good hands, speed and great route running. IMO Jennings fits that mold. but you cant take away from Wallace's speed either. they both would be an instant upgrade.
Wallace would be great but i don't believe he will come to Miami. after the Ryan Clark debacle i just don't see that happening.
2 years ago on Mike Florio believes Mike Wallace will be a Miami Dolphin
i think that Greg Jennings is the best fit for the fins. he knows the system and the play book and loves the coach. most players tend to be loyal to the coaches that appreciate the players and treat then with respect. IMO this is what i would do. 1. sign Jennings 2. sign a decent corner 3. draft by position 1. tackle 2. tight end 3. corner 4.receiver 5.safety etc. Ireland has been pretty solid drafting lately so if he nails this draft like he did last year we should be in pretty good shape.
