No, you are right. We have a solid group already and adding those pieces would take us to the next level

I agree. Carcillo is not the best player in the world but I must admit since coming here he has been disciplined and playing a more "complete" game instead of just skating around like a goon.

Carbomb should get the nod over JT. Throw D Moore on the 3rd line and 4th line of Dorsett-Boyle-Carbomb

Weird... In a game that means nothing statistically to the Rangers, they stick up for each other more than I've ever seen this season

@mando24179  I agree I would scratch Hags before Carbomb. Its sad though because even when Carcillo is in the lineup and a cheap shot gets laid on one of our players, AV doesn’t let him or Dorsett settle the score. Its pointless to have tough guys in your lineup if you won’t allow to protect their teammates. Teams have caught on to this.

@Josh-CK  I agree 100% with your observation that you don’t have to necessarily play the Bruins model of hockey to win a Stanley Cup. I also agree that a team like the Blackhawks is not overly physical yet still beat Boston and won the Stanley Cup. Just wanted to touch on one point - Our team is not yet near a Blackhawks caliber team (Yes, I know we beat them this year).

What always gets overlooked with the Blackhawks is that they actually have a decent amount of tough guys and at least 3 legit heavyweights in their lineup in Bollig, Bickell and Brookbank. This always gets overlooked. I know it gets tiring to hear “WE NEED MORE TOUGHNESS” but even teams like the Blackhawks who most consider to not be a tough, physical team have the personnel to play that game if need be. The Rangers DON’T.

Dale Weise was the closet thing they had and he might be one of the worst enforcers in the league

Exactly but AV never sends out Carbomb or Dorsett to respond.

I agree that Dorsett and Carcillo are not heavyweights by any means but to be fair every time this season that someone has layed a borderline hit or cheap shot on one of our players, it's never been when they are on the ice. Just happens to be that way. I blame AV because he has the opportunity everytime next shift to throw Dorsett and Carbomb on the ice to send a message and doesn't.

Bickel is a big boy at 6'4... I know he has been a healthy scratch a few times this year in Hartford but I would like to know more about his recent play too.

@Picaz77  Trust me, Carcillo wants nothing to do with Gazdic. Only way he fights him is if they are on the ice at the same time and Gazdic lays a dirty hit. However I can see Carcillo or Dorsett vs Hendricks- That is much more likely to happen tonight.

Lol Dalton Prout dropped his gloves, grabbed Girardi and threw him on his ass... embarrassing

This pressure we've been applying in their zone is great...it just needs to translate into goals !

Our skill will only get us so far. We need grit. We need energy guys who will take it upon themselves to change a game. I literally have not seen one Ranger all season long get into a fight to swing momentum. Guys like Prust, Rupper, Dubi and Bickel would do this all the time. We are missing this element from our team badly. I honestly think AV tells Carcillo "please whatever you do, don't fight".
