@gravey94 Kreider doesn't seem to be the same player since he got booted from the Minnesota game. Almost seems like he's afraid to assert himself for fear of getting a penalty

@Barry Beck How about a 3rd line of Hags - Hayes - Duclair and a 4th line of Miller - Moore - Fast??
1 week, 3 days ago on Conversation @ http://nyrangersblog.com/
Hate the 3rd and 4th lines. Sorry but Duclair should be on the 3rd line tonight with Hags and Hayes and Moore should be centering the 4th line with Glass and Fast. Stempniak should sit out. Plus ... I'm going to the game tonight and this is the lineup I want to see live!
@NYRwegiian @TruBluEsp That should read Kreider on line with St. Louis and Hayes. Stempniak on the 4th line with Mueller and Glass
2 weeks, 2 days ago on Conversation @ http://nyrangersblog.com/
I don't like those lines. Would like to see Nash reunited with Brass and Zucc. That line was great the other night. Hayes with St. Louis and Kreider and Stempniak on the 4th line.
@Cally11 Yeah b/c Buffalo in re-building mode would want to trade a young d-man like Myers for Girardi's contract and Miller who has not shown he can stick in the NHL. "Huge softy" = 75% of the Rangers lineup so trade them all?
1 month ago on Conversation @ http://nyrangersblog.com/
@rangermom @KSRAGER44 If Hayes plays well at Center, I can see him sticking as 3rd line center. 4 centers would be Step, Brass, Hayes, Moore
Hope Mueller can win a faceoff! 4th line Sunday should be Mueller - Hags - Malone. I don't mind Glass but he's in the lineup for one reason and that is to add toughness and sandpaper. So far, he hasn't accomplished either. Would rather Malone in the lineup who they can plant in front of the net on the PP.
@IhateGaborik @rangermom So was Miller, Jessiman and McIlrath. Point is being a first round pick doesn't guarantee anything

@Billfrom Brookhaven @TruBluEsp @SmellyKisio Yep .. I agree with you but if he's not going to put Malone on that line, why not try Duclair? Like you said, early enough in season to experiment. Or maybe try Miller on that wing
1 month, 1 week ago on Conversation @ http://nyrangersblog.com/
@betweentheworlds Agreed ... Once agan, outside of Glass, this team has no "sandpaper". Malone is NOT sandpaper. He is big, strong wing who will drop the gloves if necessary. I whined (yes I use the word whine) last year about this and AV's lineup decisions and he took us to the Cup finals so I guess I will have to tone down my "whining" this year ..... for now!
Why not try out these lines tonight if Glass can't go:Kreider - St. Louis - NashDuclair - Brass - ZuccHags - Hayes - StempMIller - Moore - Malone/Fast
@SmellyKisio Why not try Duclair on the wing with Zucc and Brass?
@scrangersfan @Scott from SEC 224 Didn't you want to send Duclair back to juniors last night in another post YET you want to call up Lindberg who was invisible in the pre-season?
@scrangersfan @ObviouslyTwoPointsAreGreat So one game and that's it? If he scored 2 goals last would you have his bust being made for the HOF? I guess after 1 game then the Rangers should also send Miller and Fast down to the minors b/c they didn't really impress either. Point is .. it take more than 1 game to evaluate if the kid can make it. Let's give him the full 9 games first. I would love to see him on the line with Brass and Zucc and move Hags to the line with Miller and Stempniak.
@Billfrom Brookhaven And who do you have replacing Staal?
1 month, 3 weeks ago on Conversation @ http://nyrangersblog.com/
@stRangers fan Nothing positive from a Stanley Cup Finals team that lost and Brad Richards (besides leadership, wasn't going to bring much to the table offensively), Boyle (4th line center but key role player), Pouliot (Sorry but 1 year wonder) and Stralman (Ok .. tough loss here but not irreplacable)? How can you NOT see anything positive with some of the young talent that is making it's way up the through organization. Miller, Hayes, Lindberg, Fast, Duclair, Buchnevich just to name a few. Seriously .. get a clue.

Don't understand why Lombardi would even be an option. This is a perfect opportunity to give the kids an opportunity to show they belong. 2 center spots up for grabs. I know this would be crazy and NOT happen but how about this to start the year:Zucc - Brass - NashHayes - Lindberg - HagsKreider - Miller - St.LouisMalone - Moore - GlassLombardi or Stempniak can be the extra forwardDisclaimer: I know the likelihood of this happening is slim to none but there's a part of me that would love to see this to start the season but ONLY if Hayes and Lindberg show they can hack on the NHL in pre-season.
@KevinTheNYRBlog @TruBluEsp Kevin ... aside from Stempniak, Rangers also signed Tarnasky. A big, rugged forward that could play 4th line. Thoughts on him?
3 months, 1 week ago on Conversation @ http://nyrangersblog.com/
@KevinTheNYRBlog @TruBluEsp I'm not that big of a believer in Stempniak. He is what he is. Do you think it's totally out of the realm of possibility he plays 4th line with Moore and Glass? My post is made under the assumption that both Lindberg and Miller earned NHL spots. It's just that I would not put Lindberg on the 4th line.
I know Stempniak will most likely play 3rd line but what are people's thoughts about Lindberg centering the 3rd line with Miller and Hags on the wings?
@TomDundie @ThomasDimopoulos So you're saying San Jose will trade Thornton for Hags and Klein straight up???? Pipe dream. Besides ... Do you realize Thornton cap hit is $7 million??? Wouldn't work
3 months, 3 weeks ago on Conversation @ http://nyrangersblog.com/
@kevin11 I can see how 3 years might be seen as too long but I think he'll bring more to the 4th line than Dorsett. Besides .... It's not that big of a cap hit.
4 months, 3 weeks ago on Conversation @ http://nyrangersblog.com/2014-articles/free-agency-tracker-7114.html
@kevin11 Not sure if they could fit it under the cap but I would love to see a 4th line of Moore-Glass-Carter
@kevin11 I hear you but I like the signing and I'm pretty sure both of us would say the same about Carcillo but look how he worked out. I guess what I"m saying is ... One never knows.
@GetTheKingACup @TruBluEsp @Say my Name He's got size. 6"1, 210 ... we'll see
@Say my Name Puck-moving dman who does not play a physical game. Depth dman to replace Falk
Meant to say minority
Love the Moore signing. Great deal for both. Like I said in an earlier post, the key to the 4th line is D. Moore. I may be in the majority but I like the Glass signing. He's gritty, bigger than Dorsett ,AV knows him from their time in Vancouver and will drop the gloves. 3 years might be too much but he's only 31. I have a feeling they are penciling in Miller on the wing with Zucc and Brass, sign a depth forward (Carcillo???) and have a kid battle for 4th line mins. on the other wing
I was not a Boyle fan but he won me over as the season progressed and then in the playoffs he cemented himself in my favor. BUT ..... He has an over-inflated sense of worth if he thinks he's more than a 4th line player and PKer. To me .. the key to the 4th line is Moore. Get him two gritty, fast, big grinding forwards and I think the 4th line will be fine. Boyle was great on the PK but can be replaced. They still have Hags, Moore (if he resigns which I think he will), Stepan, Nash, Zucc and St. Louis. They all killed penalties last year. As for Pouliot, I don't mind bringing him back but I think Brass and Zucc will find chemistry with whoever they put on the wing due to their vision on the ice. Give them time and they will make it work.

@AL55S Can't trade Girardi ... Has a no movement clause in his contract for the first 2 years of the deal
4 months, 4 weeks ago on Conversation @ http://nyrangersblog.com/
@sb24 Only problem is you're trading a superstar (Malkin) and getting a rookie, back-up goalie to be a starter and it would have to be Staal as Girardi has a ntc for the first 2 years of his deal. Even if you throw in a 3rd player (Brassard, Fast or Miller), none of these are top 6 forwards. Pitt would be crazy to do this deal.
5 months ago on Conversation @ http://nyrangersblog.com/2014-articles/report-joe-thornton-only-wants-to-go-to-the-rangers.html
@TomDundie Eric Staal carries too big of a cap hit. Won't work.
@BringBackBeukeboom Girardi has a no movement clause for the first 2 years of his contract. He's not going anywhere
5 months, 1 week ago on Conversation @ http://nyrangersblog.com/
@TomDundie Question .. How do you plan on the Rangers fitting Eric Staal's $8.25 million cap hit over the next 2 years? Buying out Richards, trading Hags and J. Moore won't cut it while they still have to re-sign Zucc, Pouliot, Brassard, Kreider, Boyle and D Moore. Sorry .. I like your thought process but won't work under the cap.
@Sniper Turcotte Unfortunately, Richards retiring would not bail Sather out. It would still hurt the Rangers cap. Stiff penalties.
5 months, 2 weeks ago on Conversation @ http://nyrangersblog.com/
@EquusBiz @TruBluEsp @Brukie_ Not saying he would retire but it is something that can potentially happen and that would hurt the Rangers. Your point actually lends itself toward the Rangers "should" buyout Richards.
@EquusBiz @Brukie_ That is not correct:Per the CBA reached in January 2013, teams receiving a "cap advantage" from long-term contracts (defined as seven years or more and entered into prior to the execution of the new CBA) will be penalized in the event the player retires or "defects" from the NHL before the contract expires.
Any word on Carcillo hearing today?

@rjonyr87 @KevinTheNYRBlog @Bukra! Would love for Dave Maloney to team with Sam and get rid of Micheletti
@rangersfan92 Plenty of opportunity to get even with Prust next year. Now is NOT the time.
@HABSFAN9999 I put both the Prust hit and the Moore hit on the same level. One was later than the other, one caused injury and the other did not .. Regardless, that's not the point. Both were equally dangerous. As for Dorsett and Eller, not sure if either was trying to send a message but it is possible. With that said ... Eller's hit was more dangerous than Dorsett's head butt. I may be a die-hard Rangers fan but my opinion on this is not biased. It is open-minded and logical.

Not worried about retaliation. Kreider is a big boy and will handle himself. Prust or Weise scare no one. Let them let this unfortunate injury affect their overall game. Injuries are part of any sport. Deal with it!

@LanceBrennan @pkh33 Go away .. you're embarassing yourself
@TSOneSeven @KevinTheNYRBlog He's been whining and diving since he entered the league. If you think Staal is a thug I would love to hear what you thought Cooke was when he played with the Pens.
@LanceBrennan You're a joke if you think that is a cheap shot.
@LanceBrennan Get head out of Crosby's ass. He's been a cry baby, a whiner and a pussy since he entered the league. Skates away from Moore and then cross checking Moore while down on the ice after Kunitz jumped him is proof enough of the pussy he is. He knows he's protected by his teammates and the refs and more importantly .. Bettman.
@dcmullets1 Yep ... and wouldn't drop the gloves with Dorsett in the previous game. Just like Niskanen's cheap shot to Klein saw Niskanen skating away backwards when Klein was going after him. Crosby is the epitome of a pussy who whines. Talent aside, he's a disgrace to the game. The whole NHL knows it and his own teammates know it.
@JoeyKocur I'd say def Zucc and Kreider
