I agree, but I'm not putting a win total on it. Just make the playoffs, it's that simple. Prove that you are one of the top 6 teams in the AFC. Period. If that means winning the AFC East at 8-8, so be it. If it means getting a wild card at 10-6, so be it.
You can't build up for a huge offseason, excecute your 'plan' and then miss the playoffs when only a couple of games improvement over last year was necessary. Just make the playoffs, that will prove to me this was a successful season.

Interesting post Nick...I hear Naanee is having a great camp, hopefully he can keep it up!

Daniel, I agree. The Dolphins will need to earn respect. We wrote post this morning too about Mike and Mike saying the Phins will have 3-4 wins..while they're entitled to their opinion, it's hard to imagine and improved Phins team winning 1/2 as many games as last year.

Brian, I agree that it's been a strange offseason. I'm surprised as anyone that the Phins didn't add a more experienced QB. I actually wrote a post this morning about the Dolphins 'Blue Print'...and I think they are looking to follow the blue print that has taken the Jets to 2 straight AFC Championship games. Great Defense (top 5), Great O-Line (we'll see), and solid running game. Mark Sanchez has 4 road playoff wins, yet his regular season numbers are eerily similar to Henne's. I think the Dolphins plan to put as many pieces around Henne to make him better, instead of replace him because the cost was too high (which I disagree with!).

Good Interview Daniel! It's great to know that the Dolphins have players that will reach out to the fans. If Bess continues to improve at this rapid rate, he could be a Pro Bowler in 2011!!
