and someone explain to me why Momah was running with the 1's if he's not expected to make the team? He looked good out there outside of that 2nd pick (which must've been some kind of communication good between him and Foles or Foles just wasnt seeing the field or something). Still . . . first Maffews was supposed to get the starter reps, then Benn was listed, and it winds up being Momah. Confusing.
As far as Maffews . . . no surprises. The knock against him out of college was dropping easy passes and his deep speed. So he dropped at least 1 easy pass (the other is debatable) and he looked smooth catching the short passes but not quite there on the deep ball. The good news . . . T.O. dropped easy passes all the time and admitted he had to constantly practice catching the ball, and I dont recall him being exceptionally fast. Mike Quick wasnt a burner . . . I'm still high on the kid and think he deserves a run with the starters.Huffer . . . is our KR. I had him pegged for it coming out the draft. Huff at KR, Sproles at PR, and Carroll will get mixed in here and there.
Smith and Beau and Reynolds all shined - especially Beau, he's a LOAD. Jenkins looked good, so did Allen . . . Broz's boy was definitely on the field, so . . . thats good, right?
On the o-line . . . Tobin looked better than Mathis . . . wtf? Molk had a good night.
is it too early to give Roc the axe? He sux. I mean he reeeaaaally sux.
I'm pretty sure he isnt TRYING to sux otherwise he would sux at suxxing
@The One and Only Beanstalk @Palm Feathers sooooo . . . how many of these defensive ends can Lane Johnson handle that Allen Barbre/Dennis Kelly/Matt Tobin cant handle?How many D-Coordinators fear Johnson but dont fear his potential backups?

@Ba-Ginas @Nuuuuuuudler this does not change the fact that I like pussy, so weird is all subjective, you fucking dong-fiend
@Ba-Ginas @Nuuuuuuudler @Tom Jackson my bad . . . you got a furry little hole for a thing and I'm getting mixed signals.
Just like my girl
@Ba-Ginas @Nuuuuuuudler @Tom Jackson lol its easy enough but I get why its your thing
@Ba-Ginas @Nuuuuuuudler @Tom Jackson poof
@Ba-Ginas @Nuuuuuuudler @Tom Jackson heeeeeeeere puss puss puss
@Tom Jackson @Nuuuuuuudler @Ba-Ginas Tom, if a vet with a good track record is released or traded after the draft, he brings red flags with him. Physical problems or attitude problems or money problems. Evergreen isnt taking on money problems right now and Chip isnt interested in attitude problems so . . . we get vet experience with bad wheels or the dropsies.
HOW IN THE WORLD CAN A ROOKIE EVER HOPE TO CLIMB THAT MOUNTAIN?
@Ba-Ginas HEEEEEERE PUSSY PUSSY PUSSY
@Tom Jackson @Nuuuuuuudler @Ba-Ginas again, you are overthinking this. If Hunt and Kruger and Curry and Bair and Square are getting better, how come none of them have long term contracts? Why arent they pushing to start? Because they are backups, they only have backup talent, they have only cultivated backup skill. None of them have wowed Chip enough to earn more playing time from him, and so Howie is not spending more money on any of them. They have a year or 2 years of experience yes but they also have consistent marks agauinst them during that timespan.
Chip doesnt like Curry. He decreased Square's playing time throughout the season and then benched him all together. Blair never cracked the active roster, and Kruger has been sitting on IR all this time. So none of them are ahead of the rookies at all, they have to go out and impress the coaches, just like the rookies, and when it all shakes out 2 or 3 backups will be active on gameday and play reps
@Tom Jackson @Nuuuuuuudler @Ba-Ginas You keep avoiding my point about Huff . . . in Chip's offense he IS an experienced veteran, and unless Chip signs a vet reciever before the rosters are trimmed Huff will have Sproles and Maclin to learn all of the ins and outs from at the pro level, he will have trained against pro corners including one of the rising stars in Boykins. He will know how to work the slot and he already knows how Chip wants to use him. What veteran is gonna bring that to the table midseason?
@Tom Jackson @Nuuuuuuudler @Ba-Ginas um . . . Curry is in Kelly's doghouse for some reason. Kruger is a late round pick and Square is a walk-on. They dont have to "yield" their spots to lose their spots, it all comes down to what Kelly and Howie want on the final roster. Because of that little factor, Huff and Hart have a distinct advantage. It helps that both of them can play
@Ba-Ginas @Nuuuuuuudler dude if the NJ times didnt publish that article I probably agree with you but the damn thing was published. Unless you think Evergreen controls the NJ times? I'm not saying that cant happen but thats a big "if"
@Tom Jackson @Nuuuuuuudler @Ba-Ginas Lupes buddy look around the league. Look at the Eagles since they got Desean. Rookies start all the time. We had rookie starters last year fucking Najee Goode started a game for crying out loud and one of our rookie recievers has played for Chip so why wouldnt he get the nod over some free agent? where is your logic coming from? There are no starting-caliber recievers floating around on the market right now. The only name I can even think of is Miles Austin and his wheels are shot. If we pick him up he has to learn the offense so he is in the same boat as the rookies except he is old and has lost a step. We are gonna be lite at reciever but we are carrying and playing both rookies I will bet a keg of Brizer's favorite IPA on it
@Ba-Ginas @Nuuuuuuudler ok, start explaining
@Tom Jackson @Nuuuuuuudler @Ba-Ginas Tom, Hart isnt gonna take Cedric's spot, or Cox or Logan. But he could easily take Curry's spot or Kruger or Square . .. none of the existing backups are anything more than backups. Smith isnt gonna start over Cole or Barwin but . . . Graham and who else are behind them? Travis Long (ufa) and Maffews? The reality is that there are plenty of roster spots that are not secure, spots that involve playing time on Sunday. Anyeone who plays well on Sunday will be in line to become a starter.
@Ba-Ginas @Nuuuuuuudler yeah, so again, how do YOU turn all of that shit into trade value? What would you have done? I would have been honest about the whole thing and just told everyone "This guy isnt worth the asking price" but other than that there was nothing to do
@Tom Jackson @Nuuuuuuudler @Ba-Ginas Lupes, buddy, Sproles is listed as a running back and Ertz is listed as a tight end. So . . . unless your suggesting we carry 4 or 5 active RBs I dont see how Sproles affects our numbers at reciever. Maclin and Cooper will be starters yes but Maclin is coming back from an ACL tear and he hasnt played a full seson at the pro level. behind them we have Matthews in the slot and . . . who else between Huff and an active spot? Benn? Again, dude cant stay healthy, has never posted numbers that hint at a ceiling to aim for. Are you telling me that we carry only 3 wrs? Are you telling me that Huff is not at the top of the pecking order after Maclin Cooper and Matthews? I'm sorry but what exactly are you selling?
@Ba-Ginas @Nuuuuuuudler after the NJ article and all the talk about gangs and shooting and his dumb ass getting robbed . . . how in the flying fuck would YOU swing a trade for that? the whole issue got hit with so much spin there was nothing left to trade
@Ba-Ginas @Nuuuuuuudler what exactly were we gonna get for his $10 millz contract? Why would anyone give up picks or players to take that on when they can wait until we let him go and sign him cheaper?
And its not as if he were gonna rework his contract. He went on the record as saying he felt like he deserved a raise. Evergreen said no, All those absurd artciles from the NJ times and whoever the fuck else came out and mouths started running. Desean wasnt about to take a paycut to stay and play for the Eagles, he took the paycut to play against us and prove that we are wrong for moving on from him. Evergreen wasnt gonna give him a raise and they were gonna punish him by letting him go because he wont find a better team to play for (Belicheat and Harbaugh dont like headaches).
Egos on both sides of the issue. One of them will be right and one will look really fucking stupid, but no way does it end with a trade, never woulda happened. The contract was a bad one to begin with it shoulda never happened he should've been gone with Andy Reid long before any of this shit jumped off and you know it.
@Ba-Ginas @Nuuuuuuudler Desean also didnt fit what Kelly is looking for in a reciever . . . blocker, team player, go up and get the ball, end-zone threat . . . none of that. Cry about the guy all you want, but if we get back to the playoffs without him, then what exactly did we lose out on?
@Tom Jackson @Ba-Ginas so your telling me that Maclin and Cooper have a clear stranglehold on the outside spots? Really? Maclin is not gonna miss a single game? Are you sure?
You think we are just not gonna use the slot reciever? Someone has to be that slot reciever and either Matthews or Huff is gonna wind up being that guy, unless your a Maehl fan?
Smith will be strictly sub package? Hart and the other backups wont see the field? Thats funny . . . I was under the impression that Chip and Davis and Azzinaro make a point of rotating their pass rushers and linemen. Did I miss something?
@Ba-Ginas @Nuuuuuuudler thats you, with an English sausage in your mouth. sounds about right
@Ba-Ginas @Nuuuuuuudler I'm saying you turn all Michael Sam around any bloke with a British accent . . . get it now?
@Ba-Ginas @Nuuuuuuudler still on the cat thing you powder pooftie?
I probably got that all wrong . . . never kept up with the Aussie slang. I see an Aussie and I'm looking for the Limey that owns him. That must suck, being bitch to a sillynanny
@atvcar I'm not worried about Kendricks, I think Howie is going after him with house money
@Ba-Ginas lol I dont expect a Superbowl, not yet. I think we make some noise in the playoffs but I'm not betting against Seattle or Denver
@atvcar because rosters havent been trimmed yet?
@Ba-Ginas @Nuuuuuuudler slow, yes. Weak . . . the guy goes for the big hit and plays dirty. So if he's weak he's the "kick you in the nuts" type of weak, and that still ends with the other guy layed out
@atvcar as starters, the 3 of them have proven that they can get lined up and play the run competently. They would be Meco and Kendricks without the flash plays. Coverage isnt exactly a strength for our ILB core. That will have to wait until next year I guess.
@Ba-Ginas @Nuuuuuuudler I dont like the way they handled Desean AT ALL. I hate lying. They shoulda just come out and said the contract was too much money, because it was. Howie fucked up offering 10 millz to begin with
@Ba-Ginas @Nuuuuuuudler I didnt say anything about the Desean fiasco. I said I'm not worried about O-linemen.
@Ba-Ginas I would agree about the lineman, except we have some good backups already on the roster. Barbre. Tobin. Kelly. Each of them has given good snaps, so I'm not sweating the O-line.
Same with ILB. Najee was a nobody until he started and he held his own. We wanted to crucify Chip for letting Acho walk laster year, and he's back. Knott has the whole PEDs thing over his head so I dont know how he shakes out but if he's near as good as he was before the injury than he's good depth.
@Brozer8 @atvcar woah Sunny croaked? Seriously? Damn I'm sorry I missed it . . . been a busy couple of months on my end.
