Yeah, I've heard about tax write off but have no idea what it means and how it works. At least I've got an idea now. I've learned my lesson and will prepare my income tax as early as I can.

We were supposed to get our tax return but didn’t receive it. So we went online and checked out where it is with the IRS. Eventually tracked it down and received it. I heard that they IRS have millions of dollars unclaimed tax refunds every year because, for example, people forgot to update their address and all.

Weighing the pros and the cons, it would be more favorable for anyone not to borrow from their 401k especially if you are living paycheck to paycheck. Unless of course, it's an emergency.

Great tips. It would be nice to spend the money on a little out-of-town with the family but there are other more important things that should be prioritized first. Just like the kitchen renovation for example. And yeah, saving something for the children's schooling is a great investment as well.

The price of loving is loving itself. (where did that come from?!) Lol, anyway, whatever is the cost, if you found love, then it's worth it. Although, if you are short of money, then there's no reason to be extravagant. You can always tell your better half that you love them any day of the year. Not just on Valentine's Day.

If you treat your 401K like a savings account, you are going to have a bad time.. I admit I was tempted a couple of times but I really tried not. As much as possible, try to look for other means to get money.

@MargaretJHodges Awesome. I know that baking soda can be used for cleaning but I didn't know that it can be used for that purpose as well.

You can always contact the IRS for assistance to know your withholding options. Jeremy is right here to review your W-4 now to avoid trouble later.

I feel you here KC. There are a lot of taxes that I just heard of recently like corporate tax, gift tax, excise tax, capital gains tax and payroll tax... It's like all of our salary goes to taxes. But on the bright side, we pay that much tax because we have the ability to pay. It means that we are earning more.
